Try the following

1. Wash your radiator fins.
2. Use coolant instead of water.
3. Check for pressure leakages on your radiator especially the radiator cover.
4. Are u using the oem fan. If not replace the fanone to the oem fan.
5. Check.for bleed points on your steering beam to remove trapped air.
6. Check for for leakage in the fuel tank cover.
7. Scan for codes.

Where can I get the diagnostic tool?

I'd advise you to change the radiator to double cell and also the double the fan...its not getting enough air to suck through the radiator and besides, the radiator might be too weak to work with the AC, hence, the reason why it overheats whenever the AC is used. try also looking up the type of coolant your car uses and make use of it.it helps in dispensing heat quickly from the engine and helps fight overheating

Properties / Re: 10 Most Lucrative Cities In Nigeria For Property Investment by BestySam(m): 8:59am On Nov 19, 2016
MrEverest:

(10) IBADAN; This city was once the capital of the old Western region and pioneered a lot of things in Nigeria like the first television station, the first university etc. Returns on property investment in this city is fairly high, especially in high brow areas like Iyaganku and Agodi GRA's.
PROS; The city has a lot of universities and research institutes and also a number of multinational corporations which attracts a lot of expatriates and middle class Nigerians that are willing to pay any amount for decent estates.
Land and labour are both cheap.
CONS; Only a small fraction of its population can afford to live in such high end estates.
Since it lost its status as the capital of the Western region, most Yoruba high net-worth individuals now prefer to live in Lagos and Abuja.

(9) BENIN; Despite being an ancient city that survived a British onslaught which led to the destruction of medieval monuments and plundering of centuries old artifacts. Benis has been able to reinvent itself as a modern city that attracts a lot of Nigerians and others as well.
PROS; Its a nodal town, situated at a strategic intersection between the East and West.
Its a state capital and also has a number of universities and research institutes.
Land is relatively cheap.
The city and its catchment areas are known for their hustling spirit, so its not uncommon to see a lot moneybags that made it not just in politics, football or music but also in some vices like human trafficking, drugs and yahoo.
CONS; With the emergence of several oil rich states and cities in the Niger delta, Benin has lost much of its attractiveness to these contemporary cities.

(cool WARRI; This city is famous for producing a lot of comedians and musicians in Nigeria. It also prides itself as the unofficial capital of oil rich Delta state. There are lots of expatriates and Nigerians working in the oil industry in this town. It also has a refinery and oil servicing firms, by virtue of these and others, decent accommodation is in high demand and people are willing to pay premium rates.
PROS; Its an oil city and cash flow is high.
Militancy, oil bunkering and extortion has produced a lot of filthy rich individuals who are in need of posh estates to match their worth.
CONS; Ethnic conflicts between the the indigenous trio of Ijaw, Itshekiri and Urhobo as well as the resurgent militancy has made the city volatile.

(7) YENEGOA; This town, built right in the middle of the mangrove swamp forest, is a gold mine to the few courageous estate developers that overcame the odds of natural and man-made hurdles to pitch tent in this city.
PROS; Its the capital of an oil rich state.
Politics, Militancy and bunkering has produced a lot of wealthy individuals that are always on the look-out for nice apartments.
CONS; It is situated in an inhospitable and obscure environment with lots of swamps and rivers which makes development of structures very tedious and expensive.

(6) ASABA; Asaba is an emerging city in terms of real estate development. Aside enjoying the status of being the capital of oil rich Delta state, its close proximity to the commercial city of Onitsha has become a great advantage to Asaba. A lot of people now live in Asaba while working or doing business in Onitsha. Nollywood has also made the city its base for shooting films.
PROS; Influx of people from Onitsha has shot-up demand for real estates in Asaba.
Its a gateway to the East.
The city is relatively serene and peaceful.
CONS;The city is not getting the much desired attention as a state capital.
Its infrastructure is still underdeveloped.

(5) OWERRI;This city is fast assuming the toga of a tourist rendezvous. With the highest number of hotels, clubs and eateries per square mile in Nigeria. There are also many higher institutions domiciled in the city. A fairly decent infrastructure, very peaceful and serene environment with night life. The city is also strategically located between the oil hub of the Niger delta and commercial cities of the East.
PROS; The populace are well educated.
Very good returns on rent.
Used to be Nigeria's cleanest city and also very peaceful and serene.
CONS;Indecency is rife, with women of easy virtue on the prowl.
The populace are laid back and likes merriment rather than engaging in productive ventures.
The city seriously lacks industries and companies

(4) ENUGU; On the 5th spot is the coal city. this city has a lot going for it, Enugu was once the capital of Eastern region, the defunct Biafra republic and currently the capital of Enugu state. It has an international airport, several higher institutions and companies. Decent infrastructure like good roads, street lights, shopping malls, exclusive estates and a very high IGR.
PROS; The city is peaceful and serene.
It has remained the unofficial political capital of the East.
A very high IGR which led credence to a huge productive middle class.
Infrastructural and social amenities are okay.
CONS; The city is situated on lateritic soils which gives it a dusty and dirt town outlook.
Very poor federal allocation.

(3) PORT HARCOURT; Port Harcourt is unarguably Nigeria 3rd most important city, with seaports, airports, refineries, petrochemical plants, oil servicing firms etc.
A self contained apartment can go for as high as 350,000 per annum, while a bedroom flat can be over a million naira per annum depending on the location.
PROS; The populace has a very high purchasing power.
There is very good returns on property/estates.
CONS; There is a huge gap between the rich and the poor.
The indigenous people are lazy and often extort money from investors.
Land is very expensive.
The city has only one major thoroughfare that is always locked in traffic jam.

(2) LAGOS; On the number two spot is Lasgidi, Nigerias economic and financial hub. The city is reputed to be Africas 5th largest economy, with a metro population that is almost twenty million people. With such a staggering population, there is bound to be a perennial housing deficit. There are several seaports, airports, companies, factories, world class hotels, embassies, telecoms and banks.
PROS; There is a huge insatiable market.
It is the nation's number one investment destination.
The city state dwarfs every other state in Nigeria, in terms of IGR.
CONS; The city suffered many years of neglect when the federal capital was moved to Abuja.
Infrastructure has not been able to meet up with population explosion.
Life is stressful for a lot of its citizens due to factors like traffic gridlocks, lack of accommodation, high taxation, high number of street urchins etc.
Fraud and harassment by "omo oniles" is rife.
Land is very expensive.

(1) ABUJA; As expected, Abuja, the nations capital takes the number one spot. This beautiful and custom made city can compare with any in the world. The infrastructure is top notch and being the seat of power, there is government presence and attention.Security is also tight. What the city lacks in industry and commerce, it made up through political activities and government spending.
There are very exclusive estates like Maitama and a few others were properties are so expensive either for rent, lease or sell that only those in the forbes list of millionaires or politicians can afford.
Accommodation/housing will remain in hot demand even in the distant future, based on the rate of influx of people from various parts of Nigeria.
PROS; Abuja is the nations capital, so the best of infrastructure and security is available here.
Returns on investment is very high.
CONS; Maintenance of facilities in the city took a turn for the worse, since the period of El Rufai as FCT minister.
Abuja is fast facing the same problems that plagued Lagos such as traffic gridlocks, population explosion and distortion of the city's master-plan.
Many estates are largely unoccupied because of 'cut throat' rent and the worsening recession.
The city is not self sustaining and rent seeking activities is rife.

You are very stupid!

ZIMDRILL:

does the car temperature go over 90 or mid point, why am asking because what most people call overheating in nigeria is actually the normal operating temperature due to the fact that if one drives a car that had a thermo removed the temp guage would point half of the normal operating point, then when they get a car that has a thermstat and the guage is midway (operating temperature point) they think the car is overheating

so in your cause tell us the reading you are getting on the gauge whenyou say its overheating

The reading is not showing. Whenever I use the AC and stop, I see a lot of water under the car. Don't get mad at me I'm a first timer (novice).

ZIMDRILL:
fully explain the overheating, only in nigerian were the AC is always linked to overheating, does the temperature go beyond 90

Yes when the AC is turned on the car increases rev becoz of the load from the ac pump but that shouldnt make the car overheat

Then on your powering its most likely you got sold a bleeped up power sterring pump unless, there is an issue with steering rack check if there is no leaks on lines though if you had leaks you would hear thr pump making noise once the resevor is empty

I drove for over 4 hours there was no sign of overheating. If I put on the AC and drive for just 20mins the overheating starts. I've accepted my fate I think I'll have to do without the AC for now.

Meanwhile, I just noticed that the starring is getting free. The mechanic I was referred to said there's nothing wrong it's only air and the starring problem would vanish in some days.

So far, my problem is the overheating. Everyone seems to love the car so selling is not an option.

sultaan:

Check to make sure your Audi has not been tampered with especially cooling fans then wash the find of the condenser and radiator to make sure it is not clogged with dirt.

The condenser is in front of the radiator and generates heat if the fan can't pull air through both radiator and condenser the heat build up will cause your engine to overheat

Post a pic of your instrument cluster when the engine is hot need to see the readings to know what is going on

I have changed the blades and the fan is working just well.

The reading is not showing, I think it was disconnected deliberately by the previous mechanic so it won't detect when the car overheats. I have travelled long distance and no sign of overheating. Immediately I put on the AC overheating starts abruptly.

Thanks for your response.
