A 30-year-old employee of a private bank in Delhi and his father were arrested in Greater Noida for allegedly raping an MBBS student and pressuring her to convert to Islam for marriage.

The man, who lives in the Sangam Vihar area of Delhi, his 52-year-old father allegedly raped 23-year-old MBBS girl who was studying at a medical college in Greater Noida.

The complainant said that she and the accused had met on a social media site, where he hid his real identity so that he could become friends with her, which they did, and later they got into a physical relationship, police revealed.

“Eventually, she was sexually exploited by him and then forced into religious conversion, threatened and assaulted,” Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Dinesh Kumar Singh said.

“Accordingly, an FIR was lodged leading to the arrest of Mohammad Akhlaq and (his father) Mohammad Moin. Further investigation in the case is underway,” Singh said.

A case has been lodged under Indian Penal Code sections 323 (assault), 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation), 354c (voyeurism), 376 (rape) and under provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, the police said.

Dankaur Police Station In-charge Sanjay Kumar Singh told PTI that the aspiring doctor had first come across Akhlaq during her coaching days on a social media site where he had identified himself as Aditya Sharma.

ACCUSED WAS MARRIED
“It was only in 2021 that both came face to face and she found out his real name. The accused told her that he had not revealed his real name, fearing she would stop interacting with him,” Singh said.

The accused also hid from her that he was married with two children. She approached the police recently only after she found out he was married, the officer said.

“When informed about the matter, the father of the accused advised him to ask the girl to convert so that he could do a second marriage,” Singh told PTI.
Both accused were picked up from their Delhi home for questioning and later arrested. They are currently in judicial custody, the officer added.

An Albanian national living in France illegally has been arrested by authorities for murder after he allegedly stabbed to death a man who was hosting him in his home.

The incident occurred at the 34-year-old victim’s apartment in the Blossac district of Poitiers, western France, on Tuesday evening.

It is understood a row broke out between the two men over religion, which resulted in the attacker stabbing his victim several times with a knife before dumping him in the bathtub.

The 30-year-old Albanian national then sent a video of the body through the Snapchat messaging app to his neighbor, who subsequently alerted the authorities.

The attacker was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning at approximately 2 a.m. with authorities finding the victim completely naked in the bathtub. He had suffered multiple stab wounds and numerous traces of the victim’s blood were visible on the walls of the apartment, a source close to the case told broadcaster France Info.

A medical examination revealed a large wound several centimeters deep to the back of the victim’s skull, while other injuries were found to the man’s arms and legs, which the investigator believes to be consistent with the victim’s attempts to defend himself. A knife was found under the sink, the French broadcaster revealed.

The suspect told authorities he had argued with his victim over religion a number of hours prior to the attack, although the attacker’s religion has not been disclosed by authorities.

The Poitiers public prosecutor has refrained from commenting on the circumstances of the incident until the man has been charged; however, a source close to the case confirmed the attacker was known to authorities and had been living in France illegally.

On Wednesday, a case of purported love jihad from Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh came to light. Mohammed Arif disguised himself as a Hindu, Guddu Rajput, in order to befriend Chanda, a 35-year-old widow. The couple even started living together but then Arif brutally murdered her on Wednesday because she refused to convert to Islam. The event occurred in the Meerdahan Ka Purwa hamlet, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Paschim Sarira police station in the Kaushambi district.

Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, the Superintendent of Police today (Thursday, February 16), in a video byte, revealed that Arif, who initially fled after killing his live-in partner, has been arrested.

The police confirmed that the accused killed the woman after she refused to comply with his demand for conversion.

The police also said that when they went to arrest Arif, he fired at them. Police retaliated, and Arif was injured in the leg during the return fire. He was admitted to the local hospital and is now being treated.

A case has been lodged against Arif under relevant provisions of the IPC and the state’s anti-conversion law.

According to reports , Arif, a resident of UP’s Kaushambi district worked as an ambulance driver.

Arif was currently posted at 108 emergency services in the Mirzapur district. The deceased, Chanda Singh, was a Mau resident from Uttar Pradesh.

Chanda lost her first husband Durgesh Singh five years ago. She had two daughters with her first husband.

Chanda met Arif on social media after her husband died. He disguised himself as Guddu Rajput, a Hindu, in order to befriend her. The woman subsequently fell into his love trap. Arif summoned the woman to Ballia under the guise of employment.

He persuaded Chanda to sell her home in her hometown and move in with him. Chanda sold all of her Mau property worth Rs 1 crore without alerting anyone.

Arif purchased land from that money in Ashadha hamlet in the West Sarira police station area and began constructing a house there. Meanwhile, the couple began living together in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.

The deceased woman’s daughter said that Arif frequently fought with her mother over money. She added that ever since Arif’s religious identity was revealed before Chanda, he began pressurizing her to convert to Islam and perform Namaz at home.

Arif used to mercilessly beat up Chanda if she resisted giving in to his demands.

A few days before the incident, Arif gathered people from his community and a Maulvi to exert pressure on Chanda to convert to Islam, but she flatly refused.

The daughter went on to say that on February 11, 2023, Arif got Chanda to speak to her daughters, following which he informed them that she was ill and that he was taking her to the hospital for treatment. After a while, they learned of their mother’s death. Arif went to their residence on Tuesday (February 14), left Chanda’s dead body there, and fled.

Islamic “justice” — which usually finds Muslims in the right, and non-Muslims in the wrong — or rather, tribal justice, has, once again, prevailed in Egypt.

Not only have the Muslim men who stripped naked and publicly abused an elderly Christian grandmother been acquitted in a court of law; now she is the one facing serious legal charges to compensate her tormentors.

As the nearly seven-year-old case of Soad Thabet , now 76, comes to its disgraceful close, it is important to recall the facts.

On May 20, 2016, in the village of al-Karm, Minya governorate, some 300 Muslim men descended on the Christian woman’s home, stripped her naked, and then beat, spat on and dragged her through the streets by the hair — to jeers, whistles, and triumphant shouts of “Allahu Akbar.”

While being kicked on the ground, cursed and spat upon, Thabet had managed to slide herself underneath a wagon. While hidden there, as the furious mob rampaged, an unidentified woman slipped her some garments. Thabet eventually managed to escape.

“I never saw the woman who covered me and don’t know how I survived,” she later recalled during a closed meeting with Coptic clergymen. They testified that Thabet’s body was “covered with wounds,” adding, “though she is strong, it is sometimes hard for her to speak; she’s always fighting back tears and sometimes breaks down.”

Thabet and her household had been harassed and threatened several days before the attack. On the morning of the assault, some of the property at her home had been stolen and vandalized. She and her husband went to the local police, who accused the couple of being troublemakers and threw them out of the station. The attack on Thabet occurred just a few hours later. It took the same local policemen more than two hours to appear, giving the mob of 300 “ample time,” as one clergyman put it , to brutalize her.

It is also worth noting that this assault, like so many Islamic attacks on religious minorities, occurred on a Friday — the day of the week when Muslims congregate in mosques, where they are often whipped into a frenzy against “infidels” and their alleged transgressions against the honor of Islam.

Like many women in her situation — indeed, like many rape victims — Thabet was initially reluctant to take legal action against her abusers: doing so would just protract the scandal. She said in 2016:

“I tried to hide and suppress what occurred, but I could only take the feelings of humiliation and oppression for four days, at which point I decided to return to the local police station and testify about what happened to me before those who had refused to hear me.”

When Thabet duly took her tormentors to court, her case became one of Egypt’s most prominent — to the point that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with Thabet and promised her justice. Tragically, that visit might have been just for show.

Despite video evidence and eyewitnesses clearly identifying the three Muslim men primarily responsible for the assault , from the very first court hearing in 2016 until the present, Egyptian courts appear to be doing everything possible to exonerate the perpetrators : they continuously acquitted the three men, tried to close the case, delayed and postponed hearings, and judges even recused themselves. Thabet and her lawyers nevertheless determinedly reopened and pursued the case in appellate courts.

All during these years, Thabet and her family received threats and had to relocate from their village, even as the three guilty Muslim men walked freely, heads held high.

Finally, on January 9, 2023, the Court of Cassation — the highest court of appeals in Egypt — closed the door on the possibility of justice for Thabet by upholding the acquittal of the three Muslim men. According to one report :

“ Not only will the men who assaulted Thabet not be held accountable, but Thabet is facing litigation that could see her have to compensate the three men who assaulted her. “

Discussing this gross miscarriage of justice, Adel Guindy, co-founder and first president of Coptic Solidarity, and author of A Sword Over the Nile, said:

“The judiciary system maintained the appearances but was void of true justice . Right from the beginning of the case in 2016, the police and prosecution colluded in mishandling the investigation to avoid presenting any reliable or specific evidence against the accused. In fact, the
witnesses who initially supported the victim were later ‘convinced’ to alter their testimony and claim in front of the court that, after all, they were not really sure who assaulted the old woman. Acting upon technicalities, the courts—all the way to the top [Cassation] Court — simply absolved the defendants and never challenged the investigative authorities. In the end, the final ruling ultimately exposes Egypt’s injustice.”

Thabet is hardly the first Christian woman in Egypt to be treated this way.

• In 2013, rioting Muslims (belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood) “burned down a Christian school, paraded three nuns on the streets like ‘prisoners of war,’ and sexually abused two other female staff even as at least 58 attacks on Christians and their property were reported across Egypt over the last four days. At least two Christians have died in the attacks.”

• Nor is this an “Egyptian” practice; it is an “Islamic” one. In Pakistan, a 28-year-old pregnant Christian mother of four was stripped naked, beaten, and forced to march nude in her town by two Muslim brothers after an argument. She lost her baby in the ordeal, which “was motivated because of Bibi’s [Christian] religious beliefs.”

• Similarly, a Muslim family kidnapped, beat and left naked on the streets an 8-year-old Christian girl, as a way to “punish” her uncle for pursuing a relationship with a female member of the Muslim family.

Eritrean migrant was arrested on Sunday evening for an attack on two women at the main train station in the Swiss city of Zurich.

The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. when the man attacked a 55-year-old Italian woman. An eyewitness told Swiss news outlet 20 Minuten that the victim was left “unconscious, lying in a pool of blood” as the man continued to kick her body on the ground.

A 16-year-old girl, who attempted to come to the aid of the injured woman, was also attacked by the suspect.

The two victims were both hospitalized, according to a police statement. The first victim suffered serious head injuries.

Swiss authorities confirmed on Monday that a 26-year-old Eritrean national had been arrested shortly after the attack, and the case will now be handled by the Zurich public prosecutor’s office.

There is no known motive for the attack; the attacker’s residency status has not been made public.

The attack occurred despite a heavy police presence in Zurich’s central train station this weekend, with authorities conducting 140 checks that led to nine arrests.

Two individuals were arrested for committing several thefts in the vicinity, while two groups of men of North African origin — police say either Algerian or Moroccan — were arrested for possession of stolen goods.

Additionally, as a result of the checks, authorities ordered around 30 people expelled from the station’s perimeter.

At least five people were killed in Plateau State on 5 February in attacks on two Christian villages in the Bokkos Local Government Area, writes Masara Kim. The attacks are the latest in a series of invasions which have displaced thousands of farmers in the potato growing capital of Nigeria.

Close to 30 people were killed in attacks on three villages in Bokkos last November. Many residents displaced by the November invasions had yet to return home when the latest attacks occurred.

Witnesses say the invaders spoke the Fulani dialect and chanted “allahu akhbar” (allah is greater) as they opened fire on unarmed civilians in Mabel and Maiyanga villages.

A former special assistant to Governor Simon Lalong, Alfred Makut, who hails from Maiyanga, wrote in a WhatsApp text message that the attackers were teenagers armed with assault rifles.
“Teenage Fulani [militants] came riding on a bike and shooting sporadically,” he wrote.

A Bangladesh migrant has been arrested in Italy for kidnapping, imprisoning, beating, and starving his 20-year-old daughter. The 52-year-old father was “punishing” his daughter for having a relationship with a young man he disapproved of. The father wanted the daughter to have an Islamic arranged marriage with a boy he had chosen in Bangladesh.

The father locked his daughter in her room for five days, beat her, and refused to feed her. Police were alerted to the situation by her boyfriend, a twenty-year-old young migrant of Bengali origin who reported to police what was happening.

The alarm was triggered when a 23-year-old Bangladeshi living in Milan contacted the police because he was worried about his girlfriend. The young man hadn’t heard from her for a few days, so he called the police to express his concern. He told the authorities that the girl’s father hindered the relationship since he had arranged an engagement in Bangladesh for his daughter with another man.

Following the boyfriend’s report, the police went to the family’s house. The father, “after some resistance,” opened the door. They managed to enter, and at that point, the girl, hearing the voices of the authorities, “started banging insistently from inside a closed room, “the investigators say.

The door was locked from the outside, and inside was the young woman who, police say, was ” in despair and had visible signs of beatings.” The police took the girl from the home and arrested the father.

The twenty-year-old girl was rushed to Verbania hospital, where she is still hospitalized. The girl told police of her days being locked up in her room and that she was only allowed to go to the bathroom escorted by her father. Two other sons of the man were also present in the house, both minors. The children have been turned over to the social services of Verbania.

It is courageous of the young woman to explain her situation to the police, saving herself from a forced marriage and potentially preventing her murder. However, she is at significant risk of harm if her father is set free. Unfortunately, it would not have been the first time that a wedding of this type, arranged between families and with the opposition of the protagonist, ended in a violent crime.

Epidemic: Forced Marriages By Islamic Migrants
Just recently, in Spain, a Pakistani man was arrested for trying to force her into an arranged Islamic marriage. According to his daughter, her father had kept her and threatened to send her to Pakistan, where he had arranged a marriage with a man much older than her.

Not only was her father involved in the forced marriage, but her entire immediate family. According to the young woman’s account, the mother and brother were also keeping her and trying to send her to Pakistan to marry the man her family had chosen. Despite the girl’s testimony, the police only arrested the man, who was released days later. The young girl must now live in fear for her life.

At the beginning of last year, two sisters from Terrassa, Spain, were killed in Pakistan by their family because they wanted to divorce the cousins they had been forced to marry a year ago and marry men in Spain. The girl’s family, including their in-laws, killed the sister because they “hurt the honor” of the family.

In February 2022, the National Police and the Carabinieri arrested a Pakistani man living in Barcelona. He collaborated in the murder of his cousin, 18-year-old Saman Abbas, for refusing, like the Terrassa sisters, to marry a man her family had chosen. Abbas was murdered by her parents, uncle, and two cousins because she refused an arranged marriage to another cousin in Pakistan.

Throughout Europe, it has been revealed that thousands of young women and girls are victims of forced marriages every year. Most victims come from Muslim families; many have been threatened with violence and even death. The revelations always “shock” the public, but things keep getting worse.

Muslim immigration has led to the establishment of parallel Islamic societies there.

Italian news channel LA7 interviewed members of the Islamic community in Rome to find out what they thought of the young Pakistani woman killed by her family. Many men were asked how they would act if their family member did not obey their commands or was “westernized.” The Islamic male migrant called for the women to be brutally murdered. The men justified their death threats by citing commands in their Qur’ans.

What could happen if a woman refused to wear the veil and decided to dress like an average person, asked a news reporter. “I take a knife, and I put it here (pointing to his neck) because she has to die. I would kill her; you have to take a knife and do this. She has to die”, the Muslim did not hesitate to express. Islamic law (Sharia) requires women to cover themselves.

Another Muslim interviewed in the video stressed that Islamic families choose marriages for their children in 80% of cases, while there is an autonomous decision in the remaining 20%. “This is the tradition of our culture. The man decides! The woman cannot say she does not want to marry someone.” According to Muhammad and the Quran, men are in charge of women.

‘Must Massage and Cook’
One Muslim explained to the reporter that often, in the villages where the Muslim migrants living in Italy grow up, women cannot refuse forced marriages, “If the girl says ‘no,’ they threaten her. Then it happens that many die because they say they love another person and then they hang themselves”.

Another Muslim explained to the interviewer that Islamic husbands must have dominance and control over their wives

Our way. Much different from yours. The wife must respect her husband. I do my work. She has to do the housework. The wife cannot say no. Give me a massage? Yes. I have to eat? She has to cook for me right away. She must not say no.

Kill Westernized Females
Finally, he reiterated that Muslim women could not refuse to marry a man their family chose, “She cannot do it because it is a shame. It is the law; it is forbidden”. Just as she does not have the freedom to escape and claim the right to live like a European,

This is not possible. —What does the law do? —Now I will explain to you. Per the law of the Koran, this is how it is. You must take her, and she must die. She must die, and not of something… With blood! In the ground. Stone. Stone. —Stoned? —Stoned. Yes, because she has done [what is] forbidden.

Polls show an overwhelming amount of Muslims support honor killings
Honor-related violence is a phenomenon in Europe after it opened its borders to Islamic migration. Honor killing is the product of a male chauvinist society that finds its justification in the Qur’an and Islamic tradition. Saman’s family killed her when she challenged male Islamic authority.

Honor violence ranges from emotional abuse to physical and sexual violence to murder. Male family members usually perpetrate violence against female members perceived to have disgraced the family. Polls show an overwhelming amount of Muslims support honor killings.

The daughters and sisters’ “offenses” ranged from refusing an arranged marriage to entering into a relationship with a boyfriend not approved by her family and living an excessively Western lifestyle. Many girls harmed by their families just wanted to live free from their abusive Islamic upbringing.

The Muslim families’ treatment of their girls is learned from their Islamic faith and Prophet’s example. In Islamic terms, there is nothing unusual or deviant in how they are treated. Instead of the western government and left-wing media condemning Islam’s view on women, they will insist these abuses and murders are isolated and protect their socialist and sanitized reconstruction of Islam, created for Western consumption. The cost of covering for Islam continues to harm Muslim women and all women.

Iran is poised to execute a pregnant woman for burning a portrait of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the Islamic Republic’s founder, reports emerging from inside the country have suggested. Shahla Abdi, an ethnic Kurd in her 20s, from the northwestern province of West Azerbaijan, was arrested by the morality police in Urmia in mid-October at the height of nationwide protests triggered by the September death in custody of Mahsa Amini.

Ms Abdi is said to be facing a death sentence which could be carried out within days.

A woman inmate at Urmia Central Prison told IranWire Ms Abdi had been held there for about a month, with other prisoners saying she was transferred to Tabriz Prison about three weeks ago. However, there are also claims she has been taken to the detention centre of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.

The woman explained: "When I saw this woman, she looked very young but weak and abused, and I realised that she was four months' pregnant.”

Another inmate believed Ms Abdi is aged either 21 or 22.

Ms Abdi was keep in solitary confinement in Urmia, with two officers with her constantly to prevent her talking to anyone.

A second inmate said: "She was in a very shocked state. It was obvious that she hadn’t taken a shower for a long time, and her hair was very messy. She was very scared.”

The same prisoner also described the appalling conditions inside the jail, explaining: "A woman was sick for two months, and they didn’t even give her one single pill," she said.

More than 500 people have been killed in an Iranian government crackdown since the start of the protests, with in excess of 18,000 arrested - including pregnant women.


Zahra Nabizadeh was six months pregnant when she was detained on January 18 in the town of Mahabad, in West Azerbaijan province, Hengaw, a Norway-based group which monitors rights violations in Iran's Kurdish regions, has reported.

Hengaw said Nabizadeh suffered a miscarriage after security forces kicked her in the stomach during her arrest.

Nabizadeh was also handed a death sentence and is now awaiting execution in prison.

At least two other pregnant protesters have been arrested recently and are currently locked up.

On one occasion last year, footage showed pictures of demonstrators setting fire to the former home of Ayatollah Khomeini, which is now a museum.

Dr Sadeghpour, political director of the Organisation of Iranian American Communities (OIAC), told Express.co.uk: "Relative to the validity of this particular news, I have no specific comment but to say that this regime has a long track record of imprisoning, torturing, and killing pregnant women."

At least two people have been killed and seven more injured in a stabbing rampage on a train in Germany today.

The attacker sparked chaos as he lunged at horrified passengers on board the train from Kiel to Hamburg shortly before 3pm, sending commuters screaming down the carriages as they tried to escape his onslaught.

A police spokesman said the investigation into a motive was focused on 'all directions' including possible extremism or psychological problems on the part of the assailant.

Three of the seven injured passengers are in a serious condition following the attack condemned as a 'horrible act against all humanity' by regional interior minister Sabine Suetterlin-Waack.

A passenger said people in his train carriage panicked when three hysterical girls ran into their carriage and screamed that the attacker had stabbed people further down the train.

The attacker is believed to have fled the train once it stopped at the station and continued to stab people on the platform before being tackled by police officers, reports Bild .

The 33-year-old knifeman has not been identified but he is believed to be a Palestinian refugee from Gaza.

He is also in hospital receiving treatment under police guard after he reportedly stabbed himself amid his attack on fellow passengers. The suspect reportedly had a temporary residence permit with him during the attack.

Regional interior minister Sabine Suetterlin-Waack condemned the attack as a 'horrible act against all humanity'.

'It is terrible,' Suetterlin-Waack told German public broadcaster NDR. 'We are shocked and horrified that something like this has happened.

'For me it is clear that the horrible act is against all humanity,' the interior minister said, adding her 'thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims'.

Suetterlin-Waack is on her way to the scene of the attack 'working closely together' to determine a motive.

There is large-scale emergency operation at the scene, with nine ambulances, three emergency and rescue helicopter all at the station to treat the passengers.

On Wednesday, a Moroccan migrant dressed in black Islamic garb carried out two terrorist attacks aimed at Christians in Algeciras, Spain. Suspected Fulani herdsmen killed five Christians early Sunday morning (Jan. 22) in northeast Nigeria, following the slaughter of 12 Christians on Friday (Jan. 20) in the country’s Middle Belt, sources said.

In Bauchi state’s Tafawa Balewa County, area residents said herdsmen attacked the predominantly Christian community of Gambar Sabon Layi, killing five Christians and kidnapping another.

“Fulani herdsmen at about 3 a.m. this Sunday, 22 January, invaded my community of Gambar Sabon Layi,” area resident Godwin Moses told Morning Star News in a text message. “The Fulani herdsmen killed five members of our Christian community and a sixth Christian, Mr. Daniel Dabwa, was captured and is being held captive in an unknown place.”

Manasseh Danladi, another resident, concurred that the assailants were “armed Fulani terrorists,” saying in a text message to Morning Star News that one of those slain was a member of his family, and that Dabwa was “taken away at gunpoint.”

Area resident Princess Ella added, “This is a black Sunday for us in Gambar Sabon Layi, as five of our Christian members were killed and one kidnapped.”

Tafawa Balewa, a Christian-majority area, has been attacked by Islamic terrorists and predominantly Muslim Fulani herdsmen for several years. Many of the villages lie in ruins, made desolate by attacks that drove Christian survivors to other parts of Nigeria.

In Benue state, in the country’s Middle Belt, armed Fulani herdsmen in the pre-dawn hours of Friday (Jan. 20) invaded the predominantly Christian community of Abagena, near Makurdi, the state capital, and killed 12 Christians, area residents said in text messages to Morning Star News.

Paul Hemba, state special adviser on security matters, said “the attacks were carried out against these Christian communities by armed Fulani herdsmen a few minutes after midnight and into the early hours of Friday, Jan. 20.”

He identified some of those slain as Gbashaor Acho; Gbashaor Joseph; Anshe Dekera; Ancho Kpor; Eunice Gbashaor; Sewuese Gbashaor; Terlumun Ajah; Emberga Gbashaor; and Donald Gbashaor.

“A man, his wife and four children were among the Christians killed during the attack,” Hemba said.
Catherine Anene, spokesperson of Benue State Police Command, confirmed the attack and said officers had been deployed to the area.

Area resident Ivor James identified the assailants as Fulani herdsmen, and she added that many more villagers were wounded. Resident Joseph Atom said two predominantly Christian communities nearby were also attacked.

“Beside Abagena village, Mbagwen and Utyondu were also attacked at that same time Abagena was attacked by the terrorists,” Atom said. “Many Christians were also killed in these communities. Casualty figures are yet to be ascertained.”

From Jan. 3 to Jan. 5, armed herdsmen also attacked Nagi and Tse-Girgi Dajo villages, predominantly Christian communities in Gwer West County of Benue state, area sources said. Four Christians were injured.

“Two Christians were badly injured in the Nagi attack while two more Christians were also wounded in the Tse-Girgi Dajo attack,” said Andrew Ayande, a local council official of Gwer West Local Government Council.

A married woman was abducted from
Pakistan ’s Sindh province and was raped after she refused to change her religion and convert to Islam . The woman alleged that she was gang-raped by three men for three days before she managed to escape.

The girl uploaded a video on social media where she alleged that she was raped in Samaro town in the Umarkot district and a case hasn't been registered. The woman said that she was kidnapped Sindh province and was threatened by the kidnappers. When she refused to convert, she was raped.

A local Hindu leader also said that the police haven't registered a case and both the woman and her mother were sitting outside the police station.

In her video, the woman has named the accused and said that she was abducted by Ibrahim Mangrio, Punho Mangrio and their accomplice. She alleged that they told her to convert to Islam and threatened her. After being raped for three days, the woman managed to escape the abductors and returned home.

There have been frequent reports of abduction and forced conversion of young Hindu women in Sindh. The province has a large Hindu population in Thar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Ghotki and Khairpur areas.

Earlier in December, a 40-year-old Hindu was brutally killed in Sinjhoro town on Wednesday. The woman was beheaded and her breast was chopped off. In June last year, teenage Hindu girl Kareena Kumari told a court here that she was forcibly converted to Islam and married to a Muslim man.

Three Hindu women were abducted, converted to Islam and married to Muslim men within eight days in March last year. In the same month, a woman was brutally shot dead outside her home in Rohri, Sukkur. As per reports, a Pakistani man wanted to marry her and when she refused, she was shot dead by the man and his two accomplices.

The deceased, according to the SSP, was aged between 18 to 20 years old.

Femicide haunts Pakistani women
Earlier this year, Italian authorities found the body of an 18-year-old Pakistan-origin woman named Saman Abbas who went missing more than a year ago after refusing to travel to Pakistan for an arranged marriage, a lawyer for a rights group said.

Abbas was identified by dental records after human remains were found near her family home in the town of Novellara, Italy’s Reggio Emilia province, in November 2022.

In November last year, a man allegedly killed his wife, 38 and three daughters aged 16, 12, and 10, with a sharp-edged tool in Karachi's Shamsi Society, before trying to unsuccessfully stab himself to death.

The suspect identified as Fawad said he was depressed due to financial issues and was tired of explaining things to his wife. He confessed to killing his daughters while his wife was in the bathroom.

Several more cases of femicide were reported in Pakistan including the high-profile murder of Sara Inam, daughter-in-law of senior journalist Ayaz Amir, who was killed by her husband in the Chak Shahzad area of ​​Islamabad in September last year.

Muslim governor in Egypt denies Christians a Church roof.

As recently reported , on Dec. 24, 2022, Muslims attacked a church and its Christians in Egypt, after authorities gave the Christians permission to fix their church’s collapsed roof, which had fallen on and hurt several worshippers. (According to strict sharia , churches must never be repaired but left to crumble over time.)

After police arrived and quelled the riots, they temporarily halted roof repairs, though with the promise to the Copts—who had waited for two years to receive formal permission to fix their roof—that they could resume work shortly.

Copts were skeptical because experience taught them that such promises were not to be trusted. But sure enough, and to the Copts’ great relief and surprise, on Dec. 25, they were permitted to resume repairs to the church’s roof, with the added protection of state security forces.

But then, on that same day, the local district governor came to “inspect,” and quickly decided that roof repairs must halt, immediately and indefinitely , even though more than one-third of the work had been completed.

When the Christians present at the site complained, indeed pleaded, “How can we pray when the roof is in such a condition, especially when it’s raining?” the (Muslim) governor barked back—“Cover it with a tarp!” In fact, this is not an option, as the partial repairs already made make it difficult to erect a tarp.

If they did not comply, and continued to work on the roof, the governor angrily threatened that he would completely “demolish” the church.

When asked to explain his decision, or at least tell them what they needed to do to resume repairs, the governor gave no answer, and left the site.

All the cement mixers and trucks that the church had hired left on the governor’s orders, resulting in a monetary loss of some EGP 100,000 that the church had paid for them to repair the roof.

And so, as Orthodox Christmas just passed (January 7), the Christians of this community will have celebrated the birth of Jesus exposed to the elements, with the possibility of rain pouring down on them.

For those unaware, what just transpired is the notorious “good cop, bad cop” routine—Muslim style. The authorities themselves are the ones against repairing this church; but they rely on the Muslim mob to riot, at which point they step in pretending to be the “good guys” who, nonetheless, need to do whatever is necessary—in this case, leave a church in dilapidated and dangerous condition—to prevent violence and bloodshed from erupting again.

Discussing this incident, Adel Guindy, author of A Sword Over the Nile and former president of Coptic Solidarity, said:

It appears that the “hidden-hand” that orchestrates this kind of ugly incidents wanted to get out of the boring routine, and add some excitement, befitting the season’s festivities and celebrations. In all cases, the message remains unchanged: “Christian Copts need always to be humiliated as a reminder of their dhimmi status.”

Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC’s song is a different kettle of fish altogether. The one his supporters call Asiwaju spoke himself into the APC presidential candidacy, with a mantra, Emilokan! But to his consternation and disgust, Emilokan soon became a hit song on the streets. No, not by fans or sycophants around the Asiwaju. It was composed by some members of the Pyrates Confraternity, whose founder, Professor Wole Soyinka, a close ally of Tinubu soon came out to denounce the song in no uncertain terms. In one of their sailing nights, they hit the streets and sang: Emilokan, Emilokan, Baba way no well, e day shout Emilokan; hand day shake, leg day shake, Baba wey no well, e day shout Emilokan… The song captured the fears and worries of Nigerians who saw Tinubu as another potentially sick president who, in fulfilling his life ambition, will sink the nation into a higher level of tribulations, into a deeper economic cesspit.

I recall the song: Odidigborigbo, As e day sweet us, and Emilokan today because the controversies around Bola Tinubu have simply refused to go away. While Nigerians are seeking answers to them, his handlers are going ahead in their attempt to force him on the nation as President, whether Nigerians like it or not. His hatchet men, have adopted tactics which they hope will harangue the media and Nigerians into silence. These include media bullying, name calling, subterfuge and bamboozling.

ΠThe media team of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, spares no caustic language in harassing those who are asking genuine questions of candidate Bola Tinubu.

In the forefront of this are Dele Alake and Bayo Onanuga who are adopting all tactics in an attempt to silence the press. They chose bullying, harassment and haranguing of anyone who wants the four major candidates, especially Asiwaju Tinubu, to come clean on their past. They particularly want to sweep under the proverbial carpet the many issues that demand urgent answers from their candidate. They want those who demand answers to the many controversies around him to shut their mouths and join the alleluia gang; join them in the unquestioned hailings which obfuscate the danger of having a sick president with a rich tapestry of a questionable past. They are attempting to turn Tinubu into the new Odidigborigbo. They think that whether we like it or not, as we dey look am , Tinubu dey go!

Yet one of the questions: why is candidate Tinubu avoiding live interviews and debates?, that Nigerians are asking is easy to answer. About six weeks ago, I wrote: “when will Tinubu come out to address the many issues around him and his candidature? When will he call a press conference and personally address the issues of his alleged link to a narcotics ring about 29 years ago? When will he frontally put to rest the issues of his name, his parentage, his primary and secondary education? When will he come to show, through his personal tax payments, how he acquired the humongous wealth associated with him? When will he confidently showcase his chairmanship or directorship of companies associated with him? Where and how did he acquire his wealth? What does he do for a living? Last, most people know of him, is that he was a two term governor of Lagos State, a NADECO activist and former staff of an oil company.”

Like so many other issues, Nigerians deserve to know the truth, from the horses mouth.

“Then there is the small issue of his health. True, since he went for his last medical tourism to Europe and the United Kingdom, he has been more spritely and less sluggish. His speech, especially if reading from a prepared text, of not more than two pages, makes more sense now than before. Yes, his hands are still visibly shaky but his legs wobble less now. And if he speaks in the Yoruba language he is able to communicate with less gaffes. But will he be willing, for example, to join the other candidates in undergoing a medical fitness test? And when will he also grant a live, unscripted interview with journalists of his choice, in a television station of his choice, even if it is with TVC which he allegedly owns? By not doing any of the above he is giving the wrong impression about his health, state of mind, etc. He is giving the impression that he has something(s) to hide and wants to rough-ride Nigerians and railroad them into making him another President Buhari who has spent the better part of his presidency hiding the true state of his health.

“He is aspiring to the number one public office in the land. The well over 200 million people he aspires to be president over deserve to have him come out and address these issues and if for nothing else, put their mind at ease that they are doing the right thing by voting for him. They deserve nothing less. The current strategy of stonewalling and refusing to concretely address them may succeed in the short term. But it is foolhardy. These issues cannot be wished away.”

It was, at first, watching him, almost a thing of joy, that when he refused once again to attend an AriseTV Live debate but chose to go abroad to honour the invitation from Chatham House, he tried to douse the apprehension of Nigerians by proffering untenable answers to some of the questions Nigerians are asking. One, he insisted that he is a bonafide Tinubu, a true son and that he is ready for any DNA test. He didn’t mention the name of his father or mother. We know he claimed the late Iyaloja, Mogaji Tinubu as his mother. This is a woman who never had a biological son. He also spoke about the source of his humongous wealth. He says it was an inheritance from his parents that he judiciously invested. Really? Before now, he had claimed a poor parental background.

Alluding to the many questions about his qualifications and schools he attended, he informed that he has got a replacement certificate from the Chicago State University. Nothing was said about his primary and secondary school education or the Dale Institute which, in his earlier political days, he claimed to have attended. The Chatham House event eventually enhanced the worrying questions about his mental and physical health. In trying to be smart, by claiming team-ship when he refused to answer questions but fanned them out to his followers, he exposed himself to more questions; and fears about his capacity.

Nigerians must insist on knowing, if nothing else, the true health status of this man who thinks Nigerians owe him so much he must become their president, whether they like it or not; dead or alive.
