It really doesn't matter if we import eletricity from togo or cotonou,the eletricity problem all over the country is soo bad that nigerians actually celebrate when they see electricity,i really dont see the big deal in Ghana supplying us.

All the married naija women( i repeat all )under the ages of 65 wear both their engagement and wedding rings,in fact i know a few unattached women who wear fake engagement rings, in naija a lot of women feel its a thing of pride to be married (irrespective of if the marriage is happy or not).so married women like to show off their wedding rings.

All the N'landers here who claim not to be believe in supernaturnal are all entitled to believe what they want to believe it doesn't make it less true,and all those that feel its embarrasement to nigeria can feel free to claim the nationalities of the countries their host countries(even the illegal immigrants).

I agree it's a bad idea i'm sure it has its advantages,i will definately never do it.

I'm really to read your thread and i can imagine the pain you might be going through right now,all i can advice is that should cut every contact you have with your ex,sometimes we women use that 'maybe we can be friends' as an excuse to be close to him so we can make him see what he was missing by dumping us and hope we can win him back somehow. You might end up wasting another 3yrs trying to unsuccesfuly win him back.
Hang out with friends,try to look good (to bring back some of the confidence you lost when he dumped you),try to be alone as little as possible so that you don't think too much about him and lastly pray as much as possible,because God is the only One that can mend a broken heart.
And less i forget,please delete his number so you are not tempted to call him.

I'm Nigerian myself, and if I believed in all this talk of witches and wizards, I'd put Nigeria on my "no-go area" list.

I lived in Nigeria for 14 years, mixed with all sorts of people, and never "dissappeared", or ended up in a soup pot.

If you guys actually believe in all this talk of "juju / witchcraft", you might as well stop using public transport, as the seats have been "cursed", or the ladies might as well stop going to the salon, as going under the hair driers is likely to make them "dissappear".

I have lived in nigeria most of my life as well and i never been swindled,but does it mean 419ners dont exist.
Sometime last year a friend a boarded a commercial bus from festac and after boarding the bus he found himself in apapa 2days after,with no memory of how he got there,his phones,money(i think just 5k) and laptop had been stolen.What would you call that?
I have heard several similar stories ,one of which my own mum was involved(she just got back from the uk).
You been saying all day that you've lived in nigeria for 14yrs,i don't know how long ago you left naija but there are actually people who have lived here all their lives and are still living here so 14yrs is relatively small
You come down and stay for whole a year then you'll probably understand why people are skeptical about using the helmet.
Lastly i most point out that it is more important to stop reckless riding than introducing the usage of helmets.
Most of the riders,learn how to ride in a matter of hours.
Or are you saying it doesnt matter whether a driver (using cars as an example) can drive or not as long, as he/she wear their seat belts they are safe.

At 34,the guy knows what a standard relationship should be,he's just not found someone he likes now that he's decided to settle down.
I still disagree with that term 'tolerance',if he can stand the girl's attention he should look for someone he can stand.

Did you read the part he said he was looking for a girl to settle with?Do you know that to 'tolerate' means to 'endure'?
How can he tolerate a girl's he's meant to spend the rest of his life with attention?if he a guy is 'disturbed' putting it in his own words, a girl giving him too much attention simply means he doesnt like the girl,and he's not met any girl he's liked enough.
You can tolerate someone you dont see regularly,a relative that irritates and comes once in a while but not your future wife.

The reckless riding of cyclists is a seperate issue.

Regardless of how inexperienced a rider is, a proper helmet should be worn.
Unless you're telling me, that untill a rider becomes proficient enough to obtain a license, he / she in not licensed to wear a proper helmet?

How is it a seperate issue? is it not part of safety precautions?If the govt want to tackle this problem once and for all they have to get to the root of the problems,have you seen the way these okada riders ride,riding in front of tankers as if they are on a suicidal mission.So you are saying as long as they use helmets it's alright to drive recklessly.
I have read some of your post on how riders use helmets in developed countries,well i need to point out the obvious in case you hadn't noticed,this is 9ja.In developed countries you dont see riders take one way,you dont see power bikes without side mirrors,you dont see riders who learnt how to ride that morning go and and making james bond moves on the road,the riders in these countries dont use their bikes for commercial purposes and lastly they dont have law enforcers that can be bribed with as little as 20bucks to get away with any offense.

And can you blame nigerians for being negative,this a country where are leaders have disappointed the people over and over again,national id,census(till date we havent seen the results).need i mention more?

I dont blame the people who are worried about their hygiene,who would like to share a helmet with every shaki,sukurat and biliki.I dont think hankies,bandanas or shower caps can save anyone from contagious diseases like chicken pox,ringworm,craw-craw.
If the alternative is buying your own helmet,a helmet is not a wallet or a book you can throw in your bag or suitcase,people dont always plan to take okadas,so does this mean people should carry their helmet at all times?
And to make matters worse,the helmets used by okada drivers are not even the proper helmets.
What these helmet stop okada riders from driving carelessly?
I think the 1st steps should be screening okada riders(especially the malos) and ensuring they have the proper training in riding,and set asides rules that we ensure that any okada caught driving carelessly will be dealt with severly
