I have observed that most rejection letters now come with ties in Canada and in home country and this gives me a bit of concern because i have not been able to establish what they could mean by ties in Canada and it seems we also do overlook that in our contributions. Two different people i saw their rejection reason as tie in Canada, one had a sibling studying in Canada and the other does not have anyone in Canada but what i noticed they have in common was employment situation....(not currently employed at the time or just had internships as experience. What do we think about this ties in Canada house? any contribution to help others would be great. The last time i visited this thread was sometime in 2017 when i got my study visa and moved to Canada. I will also encourage others who received their visas to share detailed information on what they applied in their application, how they tackled their letters of explanation, their previous courses and courses they went for. If it is a one year or two year program etc. It makes more sense for people to connect with that than just coming to share your time line and receive congrats. It would be helpful if you can present them the same way people who are rejected present their cases. -----with respect to your Letter of explanation....It could have contributed to your rejection. I like the way you were detailed or documented things you used for anyone to see at a glance as well as detailing equivalent value in dollars. Still retain that on your next application. I think you probably missed it trying to tie graphic writing, web designing etc with psychology. It is not very convincing. It doesn't make a lot of sense how a knowledge in psychology will help boost your business in graphic design or the likes you have mentioned. It would make more sense if you were using knowledge of psychology for organization management. In essence, your aim would rather be to obtain that knowledge to help you improve staff relations, customer relation, team building, your entire organization to boost growth and get it to an international standard you may be seeking. To help your business or organization stand out among its competitors. Viewing this from the angle you have tackled it, I would probably have chosen a different course that is not psychology.Perhaps, something like business analytics, business analysis, even strategic management would be more suitable in this case. So consider re-writing your letter to fit into the previous suggestion or choose a different course that aligns more with your intentions. Goodluck 5 Likes |

Funnicator:If you are going for an undergraduate course, you might be able to get one with your Neco but you have to search for specific schools offering scholarships in your field. Alternatively, you seek for scholarship from other external sources. MasterCard foundation usually offer some undergraduate scholarships. Another good source is scholars4dev.com. You will see other regions there even if you are not able to find anny for canada. All the best 1 Like |

Happy new month all. Please I need suggestions house Is there anyone here that applied for federal skilled work via PNP saskatchewan? I will like to know if it is possible to apply under a NOC where the required field for employment is different? Eg lets say i have BSc in Psychology but will like to apply under NOC -marketing ,advertising and public relations. If the required qualification for employment under this NOC is usually BSc in business field, can i still apply under this NOC if my job roles are good match but my BSC field is different? Secondly, if i have applied for temporal visa before and used a different designation and job role, is it possible to apply for permanent visa using a different type of designation and job role without this being seen as misrepresentation? or do i have to stick to the previous designation used? even if i can show evidence /proof of why it is different? Anyone with a suggestion or answer to this please? Hi All, Please i need contributions on this. I currently have TRV for study to sask province. I intend to resume in winter but planning to put in application to Sinp OID for next intake. Most of my experience cuts across admin, marketing and human resource. I have applied for study permit with HR experience As HR is not currently in demand in Sask for OID, i am thinking of applying under 0124...advertising, marketing and public relations as the job roles i had during this period are still a good match. Question--if my job roles are a good match but with different job titles, can i still apply under the Noc code? or must the job titles relates? Question 2....considering the study permit was with HR experience, will this be considered as misrepresentation with OID if applying under NOC different from HR? Question 3--- must i submit an offer letter along with reference letter or do i simply need to provide only reference letter demanded by Sinp? question 4---Is it compulsory for my BSc field/qualification to be related to that stated under the NOC i intend to apply for? Eg if it is stated that employers usually require people with a BSc in Business for that Noc and i have a BSc in social science field and an MSc i business, will this count against me? Thank you all. BRANDYAK:Hello, To answer your question, Before the application was made, i was already discouraged by few people who told me that a second masters will not fly because it was a similar field. In addition to this, i had what some would consider to be red flags. I have been rejected USA visa 3 times and i have tried applying for PR some years ago even though i submitted an incomplete application so it was not processed. I decided to put up a strong explanation letter. I started by talking about myself and family background and how we were all raised to contribute to our society. I mentioned my siblings professions and how they have contributed towards socio-economic development in Nigeria. I talked about how i made my own contributions ...i gave examples of how i visited orphanage homes, how i mentored individuals/friends and a attached one or two pictures of such visits. I also mentioned some awards in the past which were related to socio-economic development in my place of service (during nysc). I talked about how passionate i am about my career and because HR is the heart of any organization, it focuses on the welfare of its people. I said i have a natural disposition to want to help which is why i have chosen this career path. I also mentioned that its a bit difficult to find HRM in Nigerian universities at post graduate level hence the reason for seeking this course outside my country. I talked about various things i seek in a country where i want to study and mentioned stuff like multi-culturalism, high standard of education, peaceful setting, conducive environment for studies and i have found canada to cover all aspects. I quoted stuff from articles that may have mentioned them etc I went on to state my reasons for choosing my university in canada. I mentioned why i picked them instead of other unis and i focused on ranking in that field both in canada and worldwide and how it appears to be one of the few unis offering HRM without other course combinations like International business with HRM. I explained why i chose to do HRM as a core course and explained that the previous MSc was a major in international business. I also pointed out that my promotion in present work place is dependent on me achieving a core HRM program. I showed evidence of this with a study leave letter from my company mentioning that and they stated they were willing to accept me at the end of my study. Finally i talked about future goals which was to set up a job centre for my community as this has been a problem and that the theroretical knowledge obtained from the program would go a long way to help me accomplish that. I mentioned specific aspects of the program i would need to fulfil this. I also highlighted some social organizations i was part of in Nigeria and mentioned important social events i have attended and what i did....all pointing towards commitment to my country. I never said anything bad about Nigeria but rather how to contribute to its development. Lastly, i mentioned that i have started taking steps towards accomplishing my future plans by registering a company which can only come in full operation with the knowledge i will gain from the program. Its also important to note that i was honest with the fact that i have been rejected in USA before and i gave reason. I was also honest that i have tried to enter canada before though it was not processed. Lastly, i prayed most of the time and praised more than half of the time. I hope this will help others too. Hoping to start fall semester; Single (age bracket 30-32). Sponsor (Elder brother- (recently married). I intend to go through online application route for TRV. Work history: currently employed;recruitment and mentoring officer as position jan 2016 to date in present firm. (Previous history --Contracts and Hr officer just after BSc for 4-5 years; Procurement Manager just after UK MSc for about 2yrs. Sponsor intends to provide : Bank Statement up to 12M, Pension Statement up to 10M. However, he wants to move the pension money into personal savings account and provide a letter and show the statement of pension. Is it advisable to move this or he should use the statements separately? He will also provide landed property doc worth 25-30M Sponsorship letter signed by him but no affidavit and bullet points of everything being provided for the support...sponsorship letter had his introduction and current place of work and position. --ID of company will be attached and employment letter On MY Part: I intend to provide an SOP stating reason for HRM in Canada and in Uni of regina, future career plans and benefit of the program in accomplishing future career pan as well as in advancement of the present company pending my return 2 year study leave from present company but it is not written as a Bond letter meaning that it is not indicating that i must return to the company; however it stated that they are open to welcoming me with a promotion in HR section of the department at then end of my program. -I will provide Data page of sponsor, my data page, birth certificate of both and sponsors marriage certificate since he is married... Recently married so no additional dependants. -I intend to use BSC statement as certificate is not available and MSC Certificate. I was not planning to attach transcript ...do you guys think its advisable to add transcript as well? --I intend to include professional certificates acquired in the past and certificate of sports award in the past as a young child and a Moral certificate showing completion of school of maturity program...church activity, certificate showing my participation in representing my primary school for an african-american child relationship program with a school in saginaw. ---Pictures of my visits to orphanages at different times as part of social corporate responsibility to my home country Nigeria ---My personal savings bank statement and fixed deposit and domiciliary account ( up to 5M and 1,000GB) ---I do not have any landed property to show on my own. I am not show if what i have here shows enough strong ties back home. What do you guys think? --Digital passport photo. No police certificate as it is not required online, no upfront medicals. I have a UK clearance police certificate obtained in 2014 but i am not planning to attach this because it stated for immigration purpose and i have tried applying for PR around that time but English score was not up to required mark then. I sent the application when they were still doing paper based without the english score so it was meant to be returned as incomplete document. I did not see this neither did i get any update or file no. However, i believe it was returned and post office never delivered because same thing happened when my offer letter was sent from canada, i kept sending email to school and they said im meant to have it already. It just occured to me to visit nearest post office and behold i found a letter delivered three months ago on their desk and they said they cannot search for the other returned application in 2014. I have an offer with university of Regina for fall and I'm planning to apply for visa this month. We seem to have similar situation as this will be my second masters. First was in UK. But I will be sponsored by my brother instead. The masters is related to the present job and a bit similar to the first master done in UK. ( MSc international business with human resource mgt)UK . Intending Masters in canada is master of human resource mgt. Current job is 1 year and 5 months as recruitment and mentoring officer. I was scared initially because it will be a second master. Your post however encouraged me. Please can you send your no to me privately. I will like to discuss how you structured your SOP. I have written one that cuts across future plans, why hrm in canada and in uni of regina and how achieving that would be beneficial to my present organization but further insight would definitely help.
