Nairaland moderators portray the typical Nigerian attitude... when they are in power, they abuse it just like the wicked politicians... We spend our data ,come to this forum to chat , discuss and exchange ideas... We sometimes get into heated arguments... Then one moderator will decide to ban u for how long he or she feels u should b banned... U ban for one month, 3months , 6months, even 1yr on this forum... U moderators do this happy , thinking u are doing the person , not knowing u are slowly killing seun... A lot have left this forum after being unjustly banned over frivolous reasons... Why not just delete the post if it's found offensive... U lay down rules without sticking the penalty that comes with it... The moderators will just do mini mini Mani mo and will just dash u number of months ... U ban someone that patronises u guys for months... Like nairaland is the only available forum on the internet... When u ban for so long, the person will only find an alternative... Seun will then celebrate millions of registered people on this forum not knowing that only a few are active... It's totally wrong to ban for months... Even the Kano pillars captain that almost beat up the referee on live TV only got 3months ....but nairaland moderators will ban for unjustified months like our lives depends on it... No one should b banned for more than a week or two maximum... banning someone for months is no difference from deactivating the person from the forum for life ... Not like nairaland pays anyone for likes or posts ,so why so much arrogance from some moderators... Keep on killing this forum till u chase people away to instablog and the rest...


Twitter will not ban u for insulting ... The person that was insulted can only block u...but that don't mean u will b deactivated from twitter for months... Nairaland has refused to improve their site for many years...but still wanna act like they have it all...

Upon all these nonsense...these same moderators will bring unreasonable topics to front page and b feeling fly with themselves..

Keep doing this...it's just a matter of time before it members start to migrate to other forums...keep it up

Ronaldo has two international trophies, but has no goal in both finals. Why can't any of Messi's teammates step up for once as Eder did for Portugal in 2016 and Claudiowhatever did in '86?

Argentina's problem is fundamental. They are more of a collection of stars than a team. They lack world-class personnel in defence and midfield areas. They have abundant attacking firepower but they have never really had a brilliant manager to maximize that strength. They are always under pressure from a hostile fanbase that expects to win all their matches because Messi is in their ranks, forgetting that Pele's Brazil were beaten on occasions and Maradona's Argentina even lost a WC final to Germany. Ronaldo's Portugal were eliminated very early in 2014 and 2018 WC but they don't face similar backlashes.

I admit Messi should have international trophies in his collection but he deserves better than Ronaldo fans shaming him on social media everytime his national team falters. He has won U-20 and U-23 trophies and he is doing what he can to win something with the senior national team and as long as he keeps trying, you can't call him a loser.
By the way, Aguero only won EPL golden boot once, not multiple times.

Its understandable how Nigerians got sentimental over the match and blamed ref, VAR etc, but u have to ask urself, with the kinda defensive set up were u expecting nigeria to get a result from a highly attacking side like france. Though i was somewhat impressed by their defence, i knew deep inside that it was only a matter of time before they slipped up and allowed france to take the advantage. Even when the nigerians had the chance to take the game to france they still preferred to go back and defend! Against a highly attacking team like france that also had home advantage?
Now on the goal, fact remains that the referee was faultless. There are rules to every game, and even the goal keeper was allegedly told the rule before the penalty was taken. If both feet are off the line u receive a yellow card and the penalty is retaken- thats the FIFA rule which was explained to the goalkeeper prior to the penalty. Truth is, no matter how sentimental the ref wud have wanted to be, she just had to be neutral and take that courageous decision. And that was a cleAR penalty btw.
And moreso, i even thought the ref was actually more favourable towards nigeria on the whole. The team got it all wrong in their first match against norway which they could have easily won if they put up a good defensive display like they did against France.
Please lets put sentiments aside, that team never looked like they were in for a fight against france, and going defensive against an attacking team who also has the home advantage was suicidal. There was no way they could have lasted the whole 90mins!

Nigerians for u...that's y the country can't progress... Sentiment will never allow us speak the truth... All decisions today we're absolutely correct... It was a clear penalty, tho not intentional and it was a second yellow due to it being a goal scoring opportunity... The goolie 4ked up cos she dint abide by the rules... Leave all those stories on twitter...the ref and var team were absolutely correct... A Nigerian player was in the box as well when it was taken the second time... U guys dint complain when the under 20 team played Ukraine and got a penalty and when we missed, he was asked to play again cos the keepers feet were not on the line and he received a yellow card as well...

We just had a single plan to defend all thru and that was not a smart approach

The ruling about retaking penalties when goalkeepers step off the line before the ball is kicked is ridiculous. If it's obvious, yes, retake the penalty. But if you have to use VAR to see it, then it's really crazy

Good day nairalanders , am new on this forum and I actually registered here so that I can get a credible and mature solution to my lingering emotional and relationship problem.

It goes like this; I have a bf that I have been dating for a year now and he is a very wonderful Person, he is my first love and I really love him so much because he gives me a different kind of feeling that I have never felt before , but my dilemma is that I met another guy a month after I accepted to date my bf , we were normal friends for the first one month though I never told him I had a bf until he surprisingly made his intentions known to me . This other guy has been an angel in my life and we started hanging out frequently due to my bf not being around because he traveled out of the country , this other guy has been the most loving and caring guy that I have ever met, he is always there for me and showers me with so much care love and time . He then introduced me to my introduced me to his family ( his mum and dad inclusive) and they loved me at an instant and started welcoming me and calling me their daughter . Now this other guy is 30 while I turned 21 in December and my guy is 23 . This other guy has a great job and ready to settle but his not rushing me saying that he will wait till I am ready . The problem is that I don't have the type of love he wants me to have for him , the thing is that I love my bf so much and I am not ready to let him go . My bf missed my graduation , my birthday and Val's because he had some pressing issues though he sent me my gifts through mail but the other guy was there for me , came for my grad at gwagwalada, took me to a lovely restaurant on my bday and surprised me with a lovely gift and also spent time with me on Val's day and it was so lovely. My bf is around but I see him only 3 times a month and I don't complain but this other guy sees me like 4 times a week .

I have been in a romantic relationship with the new guy although we have done something's apart from direct sex because I am a virgin . This other guy has sacrificed a lot for me but I wanna let him go because he really want me to leave my bf and stay permanently with him , but I love my bf so much and my feeling for him is not strong . 5. Will I find another lovin guy like the other guy later in life if my guy leaves me
6 . Will I leave to regret leaving the other guy
7 . Should I follow my heart or head because my heart says my bf but my head says the other guy
8. Will I fall inlove with the other guy if I stop seeing my bf?

Please help me with very mature answers because this will play a vital role in my life in the future .
