Using a cleaner app from time to time also does the trick.

I don't know why I had over 1gb to clear from storage cache

On this Android system battery consumption, I tried different things like force restarting and using default theme, keeping my phone and apps updated but to no avail until I cleared my device cache.
This worked for me

Settings> About phone >Storage>Cached data>Clear.


Just thought to put this out there as it might help someone else
