PropertiesRe: Understanding Your Rights And Obligations As A Tenant by beyondwalls: 1:40pm On May 17, 2017
Please has anyone experienced a case where other tenants run Generator through out the night and the noise from the Gen is like the sound from okada without silencer constituting nuisance?
Dialogue both with landlord and the tenant has been to no avail.
Does LASEPA really works? What can really be done to this?
FamilyRe: My Wedding Plan Of 250k by beyondwalls: 5:18pm On May 03, 2017
Madam shelter4luving,

This is inspiring!

Respect to your sense and may your home be blessed. Thanks for sharing.

1.What i have to say is look at the objective of the wedding party again with your bobo. The two below I think can be the broad reasons behind wedding party-

a. the couple & memory
b. the crowd/guests
I am of the opinion that the party is to create a beautiful memory for the couple and therefore focus should be on them and not so much on the crowd or guests. A balance of this will make the party more beautiful especially when the resources are available otherwise there may be a need for compromise.

2. The focus of the wedding (based on 1 above) should then prioritize the allocation of the resources. So for example why would you spend more on decoration than your outfits? Fine, the decoration will be in the pictures but it will only last for the duration of the wedding while the pictures of the couple linger longer… More than 50% of that budget is spent on people-food, drink, souvenirs, I hope they don’t just eat and go or drop wall clocks as gifts…

3. You may then look at your list again and see if your objectives and plans marry.

Respect to you once again. BTW, I don’t mind coming to dance at the parry oo smiley grin

CareerRe: How Can I Get My Salary Increased by beyondwalls: 8:43am On Apr 06, 2017
Congrats you have a job already!
Inkredible and a few others are spot on with their comments.

But Listen up bro, just like it's been said by so many make yourself indispensable to the coy.
Hold on! Indispensable to a coy? That will be a good strategy just that it could be another bomb waiting to explode when you realize that after achieving 'indispensability' your pay is still 'trash'.

So, i would say you build your competence so huge for your next move/dream regardless of what the coy does or does not. Then you are prepared and waiting for the right opportunity because sometimes the 'trophy' you need is with other neighboring coys, ask RVP, Fabregas n co. Simply, see yourself beyond the coy it will give you peace and not make you complacent. That's career wise.

For the moment, before you end your six months probation seek for feedback from everywhere and everyone possible to establish you are doing very well on the job and it's clear to all including HR if possible. Also, understand the politics of your environment. See, their is politics everywhere, the problem is learning it and appropriating to ones advantage. Am not saying kiss ass, but if you are desperate enough, then..

Don't rely on only what your HOD tells you, build network within and outside your ICT dept. The truth is the clout of policy makers in your coy has a clique, identify them and make yourself visible. THis is VERY IMPORTANT cos if you make yourself indispensable ONLY on the job you have only aced 50% of the package. YOu can't afford to score less in this regard while the other can be managed.
HOwever, do the job well. Play the politics very well.

I will pause with this; NO MAN OWE YOU ANYTHING, think about it!!!

Selah.

WiseYoungMan:
Hello people, please i need advice. So i work in a corporate organization, i came in as a trainee, and it was stated on my letter that i will be confirmed after six months.

Now i noticed that my salary was far smaller than the salary of my fellow trainees, i complained to my department head, he promised to follow it up, but eventually started telling me to just be patient.

Now its up to six months and i haven't been confirmed, no one is saying anything. I met someone who said he has been working for over a year there and he hasn't been confirmed.

Its really annoying working and collecting half the pay of your colleagues. What can i do, do i approach the HR myself? Because the organization is fond of firing staff anyhow, so i'm a bit skeptical.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Most Difficult Age For Most Nigerian Men by beyondwalls: 9:42am On Mar 28, 2017
True talk!

I wish it stops at 29 but you know this even get carried into 30s and that can be very sad and frustrating. More frustrating even at 40s
At the stage where one is supposed to be occupied with leaving legacy for the children born/unborn or yet to be adopted, shey na persin wey never see hinsef finish wan think generation heritage.

Background and the undeveloped world we find ourselves are more challenging factors. But more importantly is self determination and discipline cos the former can be powerful propelling force to forge that required identity and much more a lasting heritage.

Jah bless my hustle!

The most difficult age for any man born in Nigeria should be between 24 and 29 years, the pressure to be something, to be someone is so

SportsRe: Boy Wins 43 Million Naira On Bet9ja In Benue With Just 100 Naira(sreenshots) by beyondwalls: 2:59pm On Mar 22, 2017
Well, betting is not difficult to learn or practice. It is how to win bets you should be concerned about.

Not even how to win but how your wins can be more than your loss 'just like every venture'. Trust me, this story of 43mil from 100naira is a rare story.

Even though the 100 naira has fetched a whooping 43mil, many 100 naira have gone without returns...

This story is not a common one but daily/weekly profit can be made with discipline and discretion.

Peace!

Don't forget to ask your girl this same question.
She knows her parent and prolly one of her sisters or relative would have been married so she might have experience.
All the best!
