Religion / Re: My Experience As A Pastor by Bgene: 5:27pm On Apr 11, 2021
Miracle4all:
God bless you all niaraland members.

For a little now I have been privileged to serve God as a pastor in a newly planted church, to the Glory of God. There is no great building yet, just a temporary structure made with wood. I am not bothered about that, because humans are the church and not the building.

Now my experience is this, I have come to realize that many of us are going through economical problem, rather than spiritual problem. Anyday I am sitting in church for counseling purpose, majority of people that comes for counseling are those looking for what to eat, you will hear things pls pastor whatever you have give me to eat.

One day I shed tears, because I could not have anything to help some persons. My conclusion is this, churches should help each other. I am setting up a day for compassion purpose, even though we are not much in number yet, members we be encouraged to bring what they have to help others.
In summary, the Christian God cannot help the poor.

See how you have cancelled yourself? First you say

"What kind of a father watches as a snake crawl close to his child even if the snake is assumed harmless?

Then you selfcide in saying
"I destroy anything that stands to hurt my kids" meaning, if it is not going to hurt your kids by your estimation, you would not do anything about it, Exactly as God Did to Adam and Eve!
Comprehend please. l was trying to make a point that l am a better father than God the father who is assumed to love us more than we love ourselves.

God gave them freewill/ created both of them as free moral agents, hence the choice to obey his order and to love Him was completely theirs. The thing with freewill is that while God may know what is probable, we end up surprising and disappointing even He Himself at times (when we go against what He wants for us). Had God decided to stop all evil in the world, or to stop people from choosing evil, then it would be across-the-board, which means He would have to stop a hungry child from shoplifting a piece of bread or something because he/she is well, hungry (and I'm sure someone like you would complain there too). This would not only pose ethical concerns but would violate the freewill He has given us, albeit there are many instances where He has protected people from evil not only in the Bible but in modern times. The existence of sin and in the world isn't the hopeless thing most people deem it to be, as God made a plan of redemption in advance.
l did not read where God warned Adam and Eve of the existence of a contrary power that they should resist. Again, what kind of a father watches as his child plays with a snake, knowing fully well that the child knows nothing of the danger, all in the name of freewill? l still maintain that God is complicit in the fall of man and the judgement was too severe to mete out on a creature ignorant about good and evil. Freewill cannot exist before the knowledge of good and evil.
Religion / Re: Can Good Exist Without Evil? by Bgene: 6:20am On Mar 21, 2021

I will come out straight to say where I stand. Good cannot exist without evil. If you think it can, how can someone be said to be good without evil people around to use as a gauge to decide that?

What is evil but the concept of what we do not like. This is why something that is evil in one country is considered normal in another. Indians do not see the worship of multiple gods as evil, but Nigerians do. Are one billion Indians going to hell?

On the reverse side, what is good in one place can be evil in another. If a traditional man has ten wives and becomes a Pentecostal Christian, is it ok for him to marry extra wives? Will his pastor advice him then to divorce nine of them?

It is generally accepted that a good and perfect God created Lucifer (who then turned evil), and that same Lucifer became Satan who now lives to perpetuate evil in this world. Did God not know Lucifer would become evil and rebel?

If evil is what an individual or society does not like, and good is what is accepted, that means if the same individual or society has a change of view, the roles of evil and good can be interchangeable.

Which is why Jesus in the Bible said, "he who has no sin, cast the first stone." Also, "remove the log in your eyes before looking at the speck in another's." Basically saying that all have sinned, and still have sin in them. Is sin not evil? "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Evil exists naturally in everyone, how you combat your urge to act on it is the difference. Denying the existence or even usefulness is denying your right to view your progress in doing or being good. Good cannot exist without evil. The balance between them is the key to Truth.
It is impossible for something created good to turn against its nature. We know that by observing natural phenomena. Darkness in all its depth has not been able to corrupt sunlight. In fact, darkness is simply the absence of light. So, where there is no good, evil springs up.
The Bible has not been able to explain with conviction the origin of evil. Both stories of the fall of man and the devil can only appeal to kids and the religious, as they are too afraid to question what they believe.

It's not God's fault that the world is messed up.
What kind of a father watches as a snake crawl close to his child even if the snake is assumed harmless? The story of the fall of Adam and Eve is an indictment of God the creator. As at the time of the fall, Adam and Eve were badies and ignorant, needing protection but their only known associate didn't do anything to help them but was quick to condemn and release curses on them. That kind of a God obviously delights in seeing his children suffer and doesn't seem like a good father to me.
I destroy anything that stands to hurt my kids and I can't even say l am good father. Fatherhood taught me to disbelieve the whole fall of Adam and origin of human suffering theory in the book of Genesis.

What most Nigerians don't understand is that Daura emirate stretches from northern Nigeria to Niger. Buhari has dual nationality by default.
