Politics › Re: How Ken Saro-Wiwa Was Framed by Biabeke(f): 5:20am On Dec 14, 2010
Hmmm. Why am I not surprised? Kenule Saro-Wiwa never led violent protests, so it was quite shocking when my father came to the dormitory to tell my sisters and I that our family friend was executed by hanging.

Career › Re: She Sacked Me because Am A Lesbian by Biabeke(f): 2:22pm On Jul 01, 2010
allot of u guys ar hypocrites. U condemn the writer of d story but I bet so many of u watch lesbian porn and masturbate at d same time even some of u ar gay and lesbians yurself but because u've not been caught yet u pass judgement,She was wrong to hav been close to her boss daughter I understand that is the norm in niaja but in other part of d world ppl keep family relationship out of work but the bottom line is dat sacking her will not prevent d boss daughter frm seeking for another lesbo partner. I don't like the act of d same sex engaging in an act meant for man and woman but we must understand that this is a battle  that can only b won spiritually and not by passing judgement.

Food › Re: My Boyfriend Buys Me Buka Food! by Biabeke(f): 10:29pm On Jun 20, 2010
He probably likes buka food and is also parsimonious like my husband. My husband always wanted buka food when he came to the United States. I always cook those dishes for him. If you can cook, that would be cheaper and better for the both of you. If you can't cook, then start bringing food from your mother's kitchen. Buying food from Mr. Bigg's and other eateries is not cheap. cool

A bowl of distilled vinegar in the middle of the room and an open package of baking soda in the refrigerator would do.
Food › Re: Pictures + Recipe Of 9ja Food! by Biabeke(f): 10:10pm On Jun 20, 2010
I checked your blog. You are a great Nigerian cook. I hate when Nigerians alter traditional recipes with ingredients they would not usually add if they were in Nigeria. For example, substituting palm oil with olive oil. Keep up the good work! grin
Business › Re: Should A Husband & Wife Share One Bank Account? by Biabeke(f): 9:49pm On Jun 20, 2010
A husband and wife should share a bank account if there is mutual trust. My husband and I share a bank account, and I also have a business checking account. My husband knows how much goes in and out of my account. It is sad to hear that a man would not share a bank account with his wife. Yet, they share a bed, house, body fluids and kids. shocked

Food › Re: Mamas Over 35 What Was Used To Make Food Taste Before Maggi Came by Biabeke(f): 6:54pm On Jun 01, 2010
Slight, I am almost 32 this month. I hope this qualifies me. Ground dried crayfish does a wonderful trick in creating a phenomenal taste. In case, you are worried about seafood allergies, meat or fish stocks are also good. My father hated Maggi cubes in food. May his soul rest in peace. cry
Travel › Re: Holiday In Tx Us by Biabeke(f): 10:09am On May 30, 2010
U don't have to go to chicago like some of the posters said . I guarantee u they are allot of beautiful places you can visit in Houston and within the state of Texas and have fun with your kids all you need to do is to goggle up the state website and type in places for visitors don't let anyone tell you where to go with your kids and what to do with your money. In as much as some of these places sound good you may not like it in person but when you go online you will have a clear picture of what you want.
Disney may be a place of fun but you have to e care things are very expensive there and you may spend all your money without you knowing.Wish U and yur kids a wonderful trip. grin

I sincerely hope her fiance's family and friends will accept her. I attend Kansas State University, and most of the white students think that black people stink. Racism is quite prevalent in the state where I live. lipsrsealed

Food › Re: Scientists Develop Rice That Requires No Cooking by Biabeke(f): 4:06am On Jan 21, 2010
That does not sound too good. I am a Food Science major, but I have to admit that food scientists are becoming increasingly fixated on the monetary value of food than the health of consumers. I would rather stick to what I am familiar with. embarassed
Food › Re: Tough Meat. How Do I Make It Soft? by Biabeke(f): 3:58am On Jan 21, 2010
Cook the meat with pawpaw (papaya) leaves or unripe pawpaw diced into pieces, do not add salt until meat is done. Then add salt and other spices. Pawpaw leaves contain an enzyme called papain which breaks down the meat fibers.
Food › Re: Who Knows A Faster Procedure Of Ripening Plantains ? by Biabeke(f): 12:06am On Jan 10, 2010
Put the plantains in a bag with one or two apples cut into pieces. The apples will speed the ripening process. I learned this from working in a Nigerian restaurant in Atlanta.
Food › Re: Meatpies by Biabeke(f): 3:21am On Dec 25, 2009
There is a distinct difference between scotch eggs and egg rolls. The former is savory, while the latter is sweet. Scotch eggs are the ones encased in ground meat and breadcrumbs. Egg rolls are the ones encased in buns. Good luck! cheesy
Romance › Re: Women, Why Do You Allow Men Get Away With So Much? by Biabeke(f): 2:58am On Dec 25, 2009
Most women in Nigeria endure cheating husbands and boyfriends because of the poor economic situation. As for the married women, they linger in the marriage, because of the stigma that comes with becoming a divorcee. Nigeria is a very judgemental society. Let us not forget that.
