@ Gurus in the house, I intend to apply for vv to Canada next month. I have been denied US visitors visa about 3 times. I intend to use my POF bank statement of 6 months starting from November last year. I had an impressive bank movement during the month of November, December, March and surely this April and coming May. There was no much deposit and withdrawal during the month of January and February. Deposit and withdrawal in each of month (January & February) is not above 2,500USD equivalent. Hopefully that next month , I may have a balance of 30K usd. Please I want to know if low movement in these 2 month will be a red flag to my application. Your advice is highly needed here

If you really want to go to Mexico get the other visa that can enter the country. Don’t just sit and wait on their visa. They have not issued in more than two years.

Please did you made hotel payment before travelling or you only hotel reservation while paying on arrival.

I'm not sure I can help as I do not have the information you might need. I just went on a vacation and am back.

Regarding accommodation, I paid for the place I stayed in before arrival. I found it on Airbnb.

Hope that 3 months multiple Schengen visa is good to go

I paid about 300k for the Lisbon to the Cancun flight. In euros, roughly $500. TAP airline.

Your budget depends on you really. I never travel with cash. But I don't think you can carry more than $10k cash unless you intend to declare it and prove the source. So depending on how many days you want to spend and what you want to do, including your lifestyle, would determine your budget

For one travelling to Mexico with the aim of moving to the United States. Is it advisable to use Cancun as port of enrty and move to Tijuana by road or local flight. Will one still encounter immigration disturbance on the road. Please I need your professional advice because my aim of travelling to Mexico is to move to US. Regards to accommodation, should I make a reservation to pay when arrive or must make the payment before coming. CAN I PLEASE DM YOU??

It seems like am asking to much. You first boarded a flight to Lisbon. Stayed few day in Lisbon & then get the ticket from Lisbon. How much in Euro is the cost from Lisbon to Cancun. If travelling with cash as BTA, how much minimum should I go with.

uote author=Nchabuomo post=122625729]

I flew TAP to Cancun, I don't know if they fly to Mexico City directly. As long as you have a multiple-entry Schengen visa, then it's okay. Your visa should be valid for the entire duration of your trip.

Question at POE:

1. Departure flight
2. Accommodation details
3. Asked to be shown a credit/debit card in my name.[/quote]

I recently travelled to the Yutucan axis of Mexico on vacation, and I am making this thread for anyone looking to take a trip to Mexico.

Visa: I did not apply for a visa as I had a valid Schengen visa. You can use your Schengen Visa as long as your stay falls within your validity. Please also check the official government website to see other visas you could use (UK, USA etc.).

Cost and General experience: I stayed in Tulum, and I found it to be expensive, and the costs are comparable to America and other major European locations. Friends that have visited Mexico City say it's cheap, though. Tulum is in the Quintana Roo state and is very touristy, with many beach clubs and activities to do. Also, the tipping culture is HUGE, and I found it to be much more than in the USA. For example, it was common to see a tip jar in the bathrooms or for your driver to expect a tip after a trip.

The food is spicy, and there's a wide menu to try and drink. Many people speak English too, but it helps if you speak a little Spanish too. It's advisable not to drink tap water in Mexico or Tulum. Though it is primarily cash-based, many places accept card payments but might charge a commission.

Advise: If travelling with your family, check out the beach club you want to visit and ensure the environment is family-friendly. Mexico is really a lovely country but has some security challenges, so keep that in mind and try to keep safe.

Happy to answer any specific questions anyone might have.

thanks Boss for this information, As a Schengen tourist visa holder, must it be multiple entry and how many days or months of the Schengen visa validity. Can one fly TAP Portugal from Lisbon directly to Mexico City and what questions do the ask at POE

But the VO during my last interview didn't cares to ask about my travel history and issue me the paper that I don't have enough home ties.

fkj950ax:

Your travel history is better than the "ties" you posted earlier

Account balance can be converted to USD.
Lands and even houses and can be sold and proceed converted to USD and transferred to a US bank...

@Seyewest @LadyGuinivere @Other Gurus in the house

I was long time ago denied B1/B2 visa application on the ground that I don't have enough home ties in my country of residence. I have since then build my home by acquiring some plots of land. I intend to apply again by next year.

Please my question is how do i prove during my interview that I have enough home tie since they don't normally as for prove of home ties nor documents. I have good travel history and can boast of a reasonable balance in my bank account.I will be glad if my question is given some attention. Is there also a way to prove my home ties in my application form.

Fellow Nairalanders, I will be glad if anyone that have came across this company Hemingsways Travel before to please shed more light on their offer of sponsoring their acclaimed winners (Couple) to travel abroad with their spouses. I was asked series of question sometimes last year March at a Spar centre in Lagos. Since then I didn't hear frm them but I was surprised to received a call from a lady who claimed to be working with them this week that I have won a paid trip to travel abroad with my spouse at my free time. Me and my spouse received an SMS to come to their office on Saturday for a presentation of the prize. I have searched through the internet without getting any concrete information. But most importantly, I want to ask you guys if honouring their appointment will worth it or I should get my self busy with other things I have for the day. Thanks in advance for any information. I would like to get their and now realise they are time waster. The fuel of driving their alone with pain me to the marrow. To before warned is to before harmed. Help a brother with some info please

So I put myself into unnecessary problems.

I bought this car with no issues. A week after it displayed "check engine light" and also due to snow, it wiper is not fully efficient. So I went to AutoZone to fix the wiper which cost 29$ and got a free scan on my CEL. it came back with code p1273 and code p1444. Something about oxygen sensor was mentioned and I looked up prices online and told myself. It something that can be fixed.

So I took it to a mechanic workshop and said they will do a diagnostic scan on the car price btw $55 and $110 and said go ahead and do it.

Well I was called to come and gave me a bill of $1624 to do repairs. I said to myself this car is working smoothly nah so where did $1624 come from. The list tild me they will buy parts of $600(o2 sensor, exhaust manifold etc) and labour is $1000. cry.

My heart was so broken. I said to myself what if the car breakdown nko? I have considered so many options. Once I have the title of the car in hand, i will sell it for below $2000 and use the money to finance another car from a dealer.

$1600 to fix a car. Infact the thing break my heart mo br small

I will advice you to ship the car to naija if you have a trustworthy somebody who can sell the car for you in naija. Thou it depends on the make & year model of the car.

Good evening All,

I have been a silent reader of this thread. I have just registered an account so I can be fully part of the house.

Please, I need your advice my people ooooooo.

I am a single lady, works and earn good salary (350k) monthly.

I am in the process of completing my Ds160 form online. In the space where they asked who is "paying for your trip" , I want to put SELF, but my Uncle whom I intend visiting is insisting I should fill in his name and details there.

It all seems to me that the VO will be thinking that I can not sponsor myself despite my good income.

Please, has anyone who genuinely earn same or above salary with me allowed his or her relative to pay for his or her trip?

Please, experienced gurus in the house should please help a sister out ooo... I no want make any mistakes jare!

Thou am not among the experience gurus in the thread but to my best of knowledge , it's advisable to use yourself as the one sponsoring the trip.

@ Lady G, Seyewest

Thanking you both for your assistance in this forum. I will be very glad if my question can be given an urgent attention. I heard several times in this great forum regards to one having a strong ties like owning a house or plots of land. Please my question is :

(1) how can an applicant let the VO knows that he owns some plots of land or house if the VO didn't ask for that during the interview

Am asking this because I didn't see such question in the DS 160 form

I will appreciate your kind response to this question of mine.

Seems you didn't read the post you quoted. I already answered that question.
You will "package " the application by reviewing all your applications and if you lied in any, you come clean this time and state the lies you told because it is rare for a person with an OK travel history as yours to be refused over and over. And unless you come clean, the VOs won't tell you why but keep refusing you
am really sincere with my application to the best of my knowledge. I have a good business doing and not desperate to travel to US

@biamoz I saw your post earlier and unfortunately I cannot speculate based on the post. It is not enough to reach a rational conclusion.
The only two generalizations I can come to with is
Either the foundation has been broken earlier by a misrepresentation ( you guys should review all your applications and see) . In that case, you can travel to all the countries In the world and it wouldn't make a difference.
Or they are not satisfied with your ties
So you that know all the details of your applications, go back to the drawing board. Review each one especially the very first one and the one after the lottery
Documents are rarely asked for or checked

Thanks a lot Lady G for your suggestion. I attend to attend the same conference by May next year. Please How will you advice me to package my application.

Good morning, I have just been denied on the 20th and my interview was in less than 3minutes. It goes thus

Me: Good morning
Vo: Good morning
Vo: your passport please
Me: give him my passport
Vo: Why are you going to US
Me: To attend a conference
Vo: What conference
Me: bla bla bla conference taking place in bla bla city
Vo: Have you been denied US visa before ?
Me: yes
Vo: why
Me: my wife applied for DV lottery 2012 and she was among the winners. The visa was denied because of the mistake she made while applying for the visa lottery. She mistakenly use our country of residence as the foreign state of chargerbility instead of Nigeria. She used it because we are living legally in the country
Vo: looking on his computer and says " yes yes she suppose to use Nigeria as the foreign state of chargerbility.

Then he said sorry bla bla bla and handed me the blue leaflet

Please what could be wrong since I have a good travel history having travelled to France, Italy, Spain, UAE, Tanzania , Ghana, Mali and Zimbabwe. And I believe to have a strong ties and he neither asked for any document

please friends, I need your advise. My 2013 DV lottery visa was denied on the ground that I used my country of residence (Gabon) as the foreign state of chargerbility. My visa fee was refunded after going through the interview and taking the finger print.

I intend to attend a conference soonest which the organizer will send me an invitation letter and a guarantee letter to take care of all my stay in the US. Please my questions is as follow:

(1) should I fill the DS-160 form that I have a relation in the US? Because the 2013 DV lottery form has a name of my relation.

(2). I have a stable business and how much should I fill as my monthly earning?

(3) what documents should I include in my file since am a business man
