Faithful007:
An invasion of Iran is something that will likely never happen mostly because of distance and terrain. Also Israel is not that ambitious. Lastly, any large scale foreign operations beyond Israel's borders will leave the homeland highly vulnerable. Something that Israel will not trade.

But there might/will be missile response.
Netanyahu:

Iran made a very big mistake and they will pay for it.

Just like Sinwar, Deif, and Nasrallah underestimated the consequences, it seems the IRGC doesn’t fully understand the reality either. They will soon learn a very painful lesson. Israel don't make empty threats !

ISRAEL PLANS GROUND INVASION OF LEBANON

His Israel chewing more than he can bite ?
Will the invasion of Lebanon stop HAMAS from lunching attacks on Israeli soil.
Since the heinous terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, Israel has waged a war against Hamas to ensure that this type of attack cannot happen again. To do so, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set a goal of demilitarizing Hamas in Gaza and ensuring that it can no longer govern. Simultaneously, Iran’s largest terrorist proxy force, Hezbollah has fired more than 8000 rockets, missiles, and mortars into Israel, killing civilians and soldiers alike, and displacing nearly 100,000 Israeli citizens in the north. Likewise Israeli has carried out air strike and lunched missiles that has resulted to thousands of civilian deaths and casualties.

Israel has rejected global calls on Thursday for a ceasefire with the Hezbollah movement, defying its biggest ally in Washington and pressing on ahead with strikes that has decimated hundreds of HAMAS fighters in Lebanon, this as heightened the fears of an all-out regional war in the region. Dont let us forget the thousands of handheld pagers and hundreds of walkie-talkies intended for use by Hezbollah exploded simultaneously across Lebanon and Syria in an Israeli coordinated attacks which came has a surprise to all.

Judging by what happened on Oct 7th ; The Israeli had learnt a hard/difficult lesson that their enemies are not resting and would not rest till the whole Israel are wiped off. With Israeli enemies growing by the day and more support coming from Iran this war is not going to end soon.

The failure of air power alone in 2006 left Israel with a ground invasion as its only remaining military option left, a situation it might soon find itself in again and again !. This means it has failed to heed the harsh verdict delivered by a government inquiry, known as the Winograd Commission, into the 2006 Lebanon War. Hezbollah although weakened, would likely respond with guerrilla tactics and retaliatory strikes aimed at Israeli military targets and civilian population, potentially extending the conflict and making any occupation of southern Lebanon costly for Israel.

From my own look of things, this war is not going to end soon. Uncle Sam would continue to support Israel likewise Iran will also backup Hezbollah /HAMAS. All fingers crossed because this war wouldn't end soon.
