Yeah Oga Doziex, one and the same. We've been here for a long while.

I do remember Oga, and yes i was also part of those who accused you of "fear mongering". However, looking back, i see i was hopelessly short-sighted.

I may no like Buhari as a president, however the one thing i'm sure he is doing very right is keeping Dasuki, Amosu and Badeh in prison. They should rot in jail, that's the only way we can move forward as a country. They should be joined immediately by KTJ Minimah, and Azubuike Iheajirika.

With the monies the former President (GEJ) released, the funds were well enough to at the very least properly equip the men.

The brazen acts of corruption was simply to scary. I mean, if a person provides a service of 1 naira, and pockets 1 naira, this could be argued. It is simply evil and utterly devilish to provide a service of 1 naira, then you steal 100 naira.

They should not be allowed to leave prison, if heaven wants to fall down, let it fall. If they want to die in prison because of lack of medical attention let them die. They must provide all our monies, and their families must also pay. This is blood money.

The President has to be encouraged. If this is the only thing he does through out his tenure, Nigeria would be light years better for it.
I like as you yarn ur mind............. grin

AddThis Sharing Buttons
BELEDWEYNE, Somalia-Pro-government militias have killed senior Al Shabaab official in central Hiran region according to Somalia’s federal government.

Al Shabaab operations head in Hiran region Mohamed Al Dhegaweyne was targeted during clashes between villagers and Al Shabaab militants in Luuq Jeelow, 20km west of Beledweyne.

Deputy Governor of Hiran region Mohamed Ibrahim Abdullahi has confirmed the death of the senior militant to the media on Saturday.

At least three other Al Shabaab fighters—believed to be his bodyguards—were also reported dead in ensuing gun-battle.

Somali National Army (SNA) commander Gen. Omar Adan Hassan told state-run station, Radio Mogadishu that government troops will assist locals in securing their vicinities.

I think the REVA's are good though which maybe expected that some would get grounded due to usage and needing parts for replacement. What I don't know is how extensive the level of support we agreed with the SA company knowing that these items would be in use very frequently.

A pity that we should have had more than adequate platforms yet year on year, our acquisitions ended up looking like we got contributions from a few poorer African countries just to get on with fighting an active war.
Am not saying the Reva MRAPs are not good. But I once came across a picture showing clean Reva MRAPs with all tyres missing stalked on stones, quite a number of them with a bmp-1 and few btr4E. Or his that we lack maintenance culture.

Why would how top brass buy hardware that is not going to serve us well and in no time we are backing still looking for the same thing we've bought. For example the btr4 we acquired where but simply because they where cheap as a result of being substandard, the metal body was rusting.

A good example: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ar&u=http://www.arabic-military.com/t90999-topic&prev=search

Apart from the evil religious bastarrds in the NE,
We have another group of terrorists working in government appointed roles all over the country disguising as leaders, political office holders and so on. Their numbers have grown exponentially throughout the decades.

Unfortunate that despite almost brought to our knees by terrorists, some effectively went all out to buy dodgy, broken, outrageously priced hardware, so that many years later, we are still struggling to end an insurgency by a bunch of largely uneducated terrorists.

I never even knew our BTR 4s were no longer in good working order. Well, as it is we are many years away from having an effective system devoid of stories like this.
Mate we av to fight these type of in-house terrorists. They pose a greater threat than BHT.

Many REVA's, BMP-2', BTR-4's and t-72s already out of service, not that they where damaged in combat...... how come newly purchased btr4's and REVA MRAPS will out of service with out seeing any major combat. I came across a picture showing clean Reva MRAPs without tyres and already rotten btt4s...... embarassed

It saddens my heart that our top brass went for hardwares like that, no wonder why united states gave us MRAPS that where damaged....

If you see the recent "arms audit report", God knows, you'll shed tears. Our military leaders are just too corrupt..... Jesus Christ!

It is so brazen and in your face, it's so unfortunate. If the past military/politicians leaders don't burn in hell, nobody on earth would go to hell.

Thank God, we have all them Dasuki, Amosu, Badeh and the rest in jail. Witch-hunt or not, the levels of corruption in the military has to stop.

I mean, we paid for 42 second hand T-72 Tanks at over $2.2 million a unit. That's unit price of a brand-new Tank. The company who collected $2.2 million dollars from us for each of those Tanks, filled a lawsuit in the US explicitly stating that a similar T-72 for which Nigeria paid 2.2 million dollars for cost them $88,000.
Oh my God............ embarassed
Untill corruption is totally driven out in every of our sectors, we r going no where.

But at least, those top brass should av feelings for what those field soldiers are undergoing. At least give them proper fighting tools and equipment if not nothing.

Those field soldiers should not blame the civilian/federal government but there top military leaders. $2.2 million for worn out t-72's......God av mercy.

JF-17 Avionics & Armaments

Introduction

JF-17 Thunder is an advanced, light-weight, all weather, day / night multi-role fighter aircraft; developed as a joint venture between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra and Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation (CAC) of China. It possesses excellent air-to-air and air-to-surface combat capabilities. The state-of-the art avionics, optimally integrated sub-systems, computerized flight controls and capability to employ latest weapons provides decisive advantage to JF-17 over adversaries of same class. This, all weather, multi-role light combat fighter has remarkable high combat manoeuvre ability at medium and low altitude. With effective firepower, agility and combat survivability, the aircraft is likely to emerge as a potent platform for any air force.

Progress

The first JF-17 prototype aircraft (called FC-1) was rolled out in May 2003. It made its first flight in August 2003. Later on, two more prototype aircraft were added for basic structure, flight qualities, performance and engine flight testing while two prototype aircraft were involved in comprehensive avionics flight testing. The basic flight testing was completed in 2007 which also marked the arrival of JF-17 Thunder aircraft in Pakistan where it was formally presented to the nation as a Pakistan Day gift on 23 March 2007. A Test and Evaluation Flight was established at PAC Kamra which carried out the detailed operational evaluation of the aircraft as well as the training of ground and air crew. The JF-17 aircraft has been formally inducted in Pakistan Air Force by replacing A-5 aircraft of No 26 Squadron. The aircraft has already participated in Farnborough Airshow in UK and Zhuhai Airshow

Production

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) holds the exclusive rights of 58% of JF-17 airframe co-production work. A comprehensive infrastructure comprising state of the art machines and required skilled human resource has very quickly been developed at the Complex.
The final assembly and flight testing of the aircraft was the first JF-17 co-production activity to start at PAC. The first PAC produced aircraft was handed over to Pakistan Air Force in November 2009. Since then, aircraft are being produced regularly to meet the required schedule. The co-production of sub assemblies and structural parts has also commenced and is sequentially attaining the sustained production status. Besides upgrading the production system, PAC has also upgraded its quality, technology and archive management systems to meet the production and management standards of a 3rd generation fighter aircraft.

Fighter Jets Target Al Shabaab Bases

Unknown fighter jets have bombed Al Shabaab militants' checkpoints in the town of Jilib, about 300km south of Somalia's capital Mogadishu, witness said.

The air strikes which targeted militants from Somali armed group took place last night in Hargeisa yarey, according to a witness, who spoke to Shabelle Media and asked to be unnamed because of reprisal attack.

The deaths and injuries resulted from the strikes reported but it could not be independently verified how many were killed and wounded in the attack.

The telecommunication in the town where militants were bombed, has been cut off, local sources said.

Last month, several Kenyan defense forces (KDF) backed by foreign forces launched attacks on Al Shabaab bases in the town.
