spikesC: you're advised to book a one way if your course duration is 1 year and above

chivitech: I got the same message 2 days ago. It is from the UK embassy directly, not from the application centre. The tracking that still remains forwarded to the British commission is from the application centre's website (I presume you used VFS Ikeja or Abuja). I presume it will change when they receive the passport back from the embassy. At least, that's what I am hoping for as we are in the same boat.

So how many days are we looking at school resumes 15th

Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com.

But the tracking still remains forwarded to the British commission

DonOms: You have nothing to worry about regarding late application. The status often change during the day till night but I doubt it does after midnight.
Try to relax and get your mind off it. Stop tracking every 10 mins. It's just 4 working days. Start tracking on the 9th working day. Remain positive

DonOms: More often than not, it's not the letter you need but a note in your CAS. What you should have asked is if it is pointed out in your CAS.
You have 13 working days before the 15th Sept., so that is still fine. Your chances of denial due to late submission is very slim. Just remain calm and expect your visa. Where did you apply?

And it is states on my CAS that the latest date for joining this course is 6th October

Yes, contact them first thing on Monday and let them include the details of your latest start date on your CAS.

Yes, I implied that it is risky to apply using 14th as start date. The truth is you can't get appointment date on Monday, so assuming you get on Wednesday (3rd Sept), you'll have only 7 working days before school resumes. It is highly risky without extension for your resumption date.

@ donoms pls how about my own case I requested for an extension from my school they told me dey can't give to me an extention letter rather dey told me that I have till October 1st for late resumption and I would pay 40 quid for late enrollment
I already had my interview and ve submitted my application on the 26th August
And school resumes 8th of sept for induction
Class resumes 15th sept

baba justwise i have been trying to track my visa online but the stuff is not opening

justwise: At least a week, if it comes out before that then great but you don't need to start panicking after few days.

The question was straight forward and we laughed over issues on concentration away from home

justwise: Get 2wks extension from your school just for a cover in case of any delay with visa processing. Attach it to your application.

Booked an appointment on 15th
But I was giving a date for 26th of August
Do I need to reprint another statement or I should use the one I printed on the 15th ?

I intend doing that in the course of the night say b/w 12:30- 6:00am thats the early hrs of the 15th day
and I intend yo print my statement during eotking hours
I am using a visa card, I guess that those not need a token as I only ve ipin

kemkem30: Hello , for some reasons I have been worried about going for my tb screening. Please pardon me for asking the following questions. Were u coughing before going for the test? Did u for any reason suspect ur xray would not be clear? Have u ever had tb? Please if u cant answer here please u may send a mail. I have never had tb but i react to things(sometimes just ordinary tea can get me coughing) and the major manifestation is cough. So i am worried that, this my affect my xray. Help a worried sister out. My test is next week.

I was just lucky to have spoken with the man taking the X ray
Folloe this instruction
Do as the medical operator says (breath in, out)
Try as much as posible not to smoke for as long as it can take b4 the test
Try to be healthy as posible

You can print ur statement, make payment and can even submit on that 15th if u get an appointment that day

guiddoti: The truth of the matter is: if your school supports late instalment without additional fees for paying late, there is no worry about that, but you must pay before you finish your masters.

yes they do, there is plan that offer for installment payment u ll be allowed to choose the number of times maximum of 4 installment

spikesC: The question you should ask yourself is this:

1. What's the minimum guaranteed income per month from your business
2. What if your business fails, is there a way out for you
3. How many months do you think that £1000 will sustain you for? Have you made an accurate calculation of your future expenses?

Your outstanding bill is:
Fees: 4400
Accomodation: 1940

4. Do you think your business will be able to fund the above when it is required to be paid?
And also fund your living expenses?

I presume you're going for masters, and you'll be very busy that it would be hard for you to get and maintain a job in the UK.

5. So, can you sincerely assure yourself that your business will fund all the needed expenses within the required time frame?

the truth is that i can only meet up with the remaining 4400 towards the end of my masters period
the remaing 1940 will be paid immediately after 17weeks which the initial payment will cover me for

Emmagency: Yea.. Ikeja... it was pretty easy....its hardly different from the basics.. just have what you're going to talk about before hand...

going to pay 1000 pounds getting there(with the cash @ hand)
cash @ hand for personal use for me that i ll be going with is 1000 for upkeep
total cash @ hand will be 7000
TOTAL money is 20280( fees 12900, maintenance 7380)
i ve payed a total of 4000 here in Nigeria
ll be going with 7000 cash
having a total of 9280 + or -
i intend paying the rest @ installment
with my business here in Nigeria little by little

Then it is possible that they would check on finances.
But not everyone on every flight.
