VERDA: Nope, the sw did it to themselves when the refused to listen to reason from other regions including the north to pick a consensus candidate, they were all too big to step down for one another and the better organized candidate got the votes let's stop making this a tribal affair. your post would have made a lot of sense if SE caucus hadn't shown open support for secondus before the D Day. |

PHIPEX: You had an election across the 6 geopolitical zones, only the SW failed to have a consensus among the 6 yet you believe the Igbos is your problem. How exactly is SE your problem when the position was zoned to the entire south? Is the position your birthright? Is the position sw birthright? What a senseless question. PDP zoned the position to SW and igbos worked against the SW consensus candidate, Adeniran, so that is why we are pointing fingers at you. |

BudeYahooCom: But over 150 yoruba delegates in PDP voted against the yoruba candidate. Was that Igbos fault too?
Even before the convention you guys were boasting you will win the Chairamanship and control APC and PDP in order to annihilate Igbos politically. Why are you crybaby yorubas greedy? why lieing to yourself? Who are the yorubas that voted against adeniran? Post their names here for us to believe your story, if you can't then hide your face in shame. Adeniran got 230 votes and came second despite the fact that SE worked against his emergence. Common sense should tell you that he must have gotten those votes from sw delegates. |

Ragnorak: Nonsense. I have lived in the midst of yoruba people and they can be petty tribalistic at times. They are quickly turning this into a tribal affair because their candidate didn't win. To be honest they had all it took to get the position but they didn't deploy, so whose fault?
They didn't get chairman but they got deputy chairman for south. You don't always have your way in life. This entitlement attitude of overspoilt babies will not help anyone. Just suck it. The chairmanship is a quite useless position. Especially after elections. what are you trying to say man? Didn't you read in the News recently that SE caucus in the PDP were working with their SS counterparts to deny SW the chairmanship position of the party? Addres issue with open mind pls. Igbos in PDP made sure SW lost that position to secondus. |

HeyCorleone: Some times I see and hear words from people like you and I ask myself "when would I get to this level of submissiveness? At what point would I begin to deify a man simply because he says he's a pastor? When would I start unnecessary ass kissing of a man just because he claims to be a minister of God?* Answer is never I think. I accord the same respect I have for my fellow man to pastors and priests. Nothing special. No obsequious demeanour, no ass kissing, no calling of "Daddy" (that title is reserved for my Pops and God alone), and no behaviour that'd show that I have faith and trust in such man.
The problem with the 21st century Christian is they have begun to see their pastors as infallible, that is above mistakes, and so they look for every means possible to exonerate them of accusations and stuff even when the accusations leveled against them come with obvious evidences.
The 21st century Nigerian Christian is quick to say "Don't judge", and "touch not my anointed" when you're referring to his pastor, but quick to label our politicians as corrupt and other vile names. Isn't that unnecessary judgement? Why do we do such?
I think it's high time the Nigerian Christian wakes up from his slumber and starts seeing the men of God as the mortals that they are who are susceptible to corruption, theft, extra marital affairs and other heinous activities.
In other words, stop making your Daddy GO your God. Most of the points your post adresses are not necessary per the message of Baba Adeboye and my own post which you responded to. But i know for certain that you are not the first to feel irritated by the mode/ method the children of light are worshiping their God and you'll not be the last Saul turned paul was once like you but he later found Grace in the sight of God. He later did and even died doing what he once considered wrong. When the light of holyspirit shines on your path and mind then you'll feel verry sad and sorry for some of the misconceptions you are holding as the truth against christianity/ christians now. I want you to ponder on this. The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom. |

Ngokafor: Is 'wishing' supposed to do the magic and transform this country to a First-World one??..It is not by 'wishing' but DOING the right things.
Harping about 'wishes' is really funny and does not cut it..You guys 'wish Nigeria well but do the wrong things in every areas of governance..Na wa. I agre the progress of a country boils down to doing the right things, but still, wishing it well is verry important. You should wish well anything you are expecting positive results from. If you don't wish it well you have no reason to complain whenever things go wrong. As christmas is around now most of you will travel back to east, if you discover the vehicle is faulty along the journey, won't you pray or wish that the vehicle get you to your destination peacefully? You can never wish the vehicle ill because you are in it or because of your safety. Pray 4 d peace of jerusalem and they that want it shall prosper. Christianity Etc › Re: In Defense Of The Church And Its Leadership by Biety: 9:01am On Dec 03, 2017*. Modified: 9:16am On Dec 03, 2017 |
salvation101: Jesus Christ established
the church, he made a clear
distinction between the church system and the world system. The wisdom of the world is usually in conflict with the wisdom of God. You can't discern God through your wisdom, it is a tall order that cannot be attained.
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:21-31 KJV
The Christian life is a paradox Paul the apostle said The natural man cannot receive the things of God because they are spiritually discerned so to the natural man, the ways of God is foolishness but its in this foolishness that God hides His wisdom so that no flesh can glory before him. How else do you want to explain the ways of God? How do you tell a carnal man that
WE FIND BY LOSING "He that finds his life shall lose it, and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it." (Matthew 10:39)
WE RECEIVE BY GIVING "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back." (Luke 6:38)
WE ARE EXALTED BY BEING HUMBLE "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." (Matthew 23:12)
WE BECOME GREAT BY BECOMING SMALL "Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:4)
OUR WEAKNESS IS OUR STRENGTH "And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:9,10).
WE RULE BY SERVING "You know that those who are supposed to rule over the nations lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all." (Mark 10:42-45)
WE LIVE BY DYING "I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)
"What shall we then say to these things?" If the Christian life is a paradox, then the actions of individual Christians should make non-Christians wonder. The very fact that Christians do the opposite to what non-Christians would do in the same situation should challenge their whole approach to life! Now, this is holy spirit inspired message, whoever disagrees with it is not of God. We need more of this type of message from you. We can not fold our hands and allow people who know nothing concerning spiritual things to keep misleading the babes in faith. God bless you and happy sabath. |

But you that is not paying tithe check your life, is your life, work or everything about you faring better than that of the people paying it? The answer is a resounding no. If you think it is a taboo to pay tithe fine but leave others who are paying and stop trying to convince them. Winner members are paying to oyedepo and they are progressing just as their pastor is moving from glory to glory.
Redeem members are also paying to Adeboye and they are not lacking because they are paying tithe to their pastor. So why are you pained since you don't pay to any pastor? Or are those paying complaining to you that they are lacking in any good thing? This is just another senseless and needles thread inspired by poverty and backward lifestyle. # we will continue paying tithe. Your mission has failed. |
