electromagnito: The French educational system is crazy, to be honest with you. I unintentionally failed to appear for a course examination after discussing my difficulties with the lecturer. By the by, I am presumed to have failed the semester because 0/20 was recorded for the module. I am still discussing with them, so there is a possibility of taking it for the second session. I wish you all the best in your PhD pursuit -- I am sure you would have secured a place by now. Can I get your contact, please? |

koolkamzzy: U r right. It has been sent to VFS and dispatched to the courier agency - UPS. I have been informed to track the processed passport on www.ups.com, but I haven't been lucky with that - error message. I just want to ask if anyone had experienced such, and I will like to seek how it got solved. |

Predstan: Yep, I have filled the form, but I have not been informed about anything yet. Well, I am using a prospective colleague in France to send my documents. NIPOST will deliver your documents after some weeks. They delivered one of my Chinese Scholarship Application documents a month and a half after sending via their postal service - they are not reliable. Since you said that you scanned your documents to a certain center, I think you are safe. |

Predstan: Post office! NIPOST?! Why naa? You shouldn't have sent your docs via the post office. My deficit? I don't understand what you mean by that. I got a scholarship of 9000 Euros + 4500 for Travelling and Subsistence Allowance. I will have to pay a tuition fee of 4000Euros/yr. |

Predstan: Yep. Make sure you use either Mastercard or Visa - check your bank and ask em to enable your card for both local and international transactions. Well, you will have to pay within 48 hours, not 24 hours. Have you sent your documents to the address in Lille? |

Predstan: I got CROUS decision last week Friday, and I booked on Sunday night. My accommodation has been confirmed, and I am about to send the rent lease file to the agent of my residence. I don't have most of the required documents for now, but I will communicate with him that I will send it once I have it. |

Ikpa001: I have successfully booked my accommodation with CROUS with 100Euros. My rental fee per month is 148Euros. I don't know much about booking accommodation with private residences. I got an EIT Label scholarship (Partial Scholarship) with Advanced Material Innovative Recycling (AMIR), and my first year of studies mobility is at the University of Bordeaux, France. What document did they request for accommodation proof? |

Bashh054: Well, I don't know much about that of Secondary School stating that your program was fully instructed in English. Anyway, you can use a letter from your Alma Mater stating that your studies were fully instructed in English. |

To be honest with you, the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is highly competitive. Sometimes, it favours applicants with high CGPA or moderate CGPA blended with rich research experience. What they evaluate is more than SoPs, CVs and all sorts; they sometimes look deep into relevant research experience and a perfect blend of academic knowledge - this is where CGPA counts. If you are unable to get an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship this year, you can sort for other scholarship programs which are less competitive - make the internet your friend. If you are planning to reapply for the upcoming Erasmus Mundus Scholarship - which will be available around October, it is high time you started preparing your application materials. Try to get at least a publication - it is not a must though. Take various online programs that are relevant to your proposed Erasmus program - make sure your proposed program will be offered the scholarship come October, you can contact the coordinator. Try to do some voluntary duties. If possible, try intern with a Prof or Doctor in your alma mater, tell him or her that you will be needing the experience for a highly competitive scholarship program. Start toasting your referees, explain the situation of the competition to them - a strong recommendation letter will go a long way in boosting your profile. Don't be sad. You can try to take GRE and TOEFL. There are limitless opportunities in the US. China is not an exception; in fact, it is a very nice place. We will all get there... 3 Likes 1 Share |
