If you are thinking of M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, don't apply to TENNESSEE TECHNOLOGICAL l UNIVERSITY with the hope of funding. There are no funding plans in place for Mechanical Engineering. Speaking from experience, hope it helps.

Auspicious2018:
For the second, she was so impressed and all smiles while asking the regular questions and I responded until she logged my details and read previous VO comments and suddenly asked why a masters (which was an excuse and doesn't make common sense because she had already asked level of study and why Business Analytics and I had explained) and how many kids I have and said I'm sorry..... I quickly tried to say kids are no longer accompanying but she didn't just listen.

I'm not interested in reapplying. I decided to share my experience to help families plan their application. I'm grateful
I was behind you this morning, and sincerely you did everything right, even I was impressed with your eloquence and answers. I am sorry it wasn't granted but with the help of gurus on this platform, you can make some adjustments, carefully think about your decision not to apply again and I hope you will change your mind. We never know when we are at the brink of breakthrough.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the aim of helping others. I wish you the very best.

Twoods contribution on the platform has been invaluable so far. Despite his blunt response, I believe everyone has learnt a thing or two from him.
However, I'm of the opinion that all his blunt/rude response could have been conveyed in a polite and formal manner. With that he even commands more respect.
Most of the experts here also started with this kind of fuzzy and funny questions. Trust me the whole admission process is hectic, at a point you start asking the so called "stupid" questions. I have couple of mentors and I also bring others up, let's all do this with love and make ourselves better.
My advise for Aspiring US applicants, you are going for a research program however your research starts from the day you decide to take up this journey. Surf the net, contact Graduate Coordinators, Professors, and current students. At the moment I'm glad for the information I have gathered so far.
Getting admission and funding is not difficult if you can give it the required effort and prayer (yeah, I believe in prayers).
Let's all live together in Love and I beg Twoods not to go into silence. It's normal to be criticized, just note the points, and continue with your selfless help and advice.

Universities with available deadline dates.

Texas A&M University, Kingsville
University of Kentucky
Tennessee Tech University and lots more.

Just that your full funding chances are slim now, but admission chances are good

Accscholar:
I'm sure there are threads that have discussed this in the past. Play around NL, you could find them.

You can register for the GRE/GMAT via ets.org/mba.com respectively. Some, in Nigeria, register through all these local agencies to get books et al.

Some people (like Indians grin) prepare for a day, while some others prepare over year. It depends on your (quant/vocab) background - just write when you are ready.
Boss I hail oo, one Day! grin

TWoods:
On what basis did you select the above schools?
On ranking & reputation according to msinus.com. TAMUK for instance is suppose to be a safe school for my profile

Please Gurus in the house, I need suggestions on university that offer full funding for Mechanical Engineering based on your experience.

Masters preferably as I am scared of PhD longtime commitment.
GRE Quant:162, undergraduate score of 3.60/4.00

I have;
Texas Tech
Tennessee Tech University
Colorado School of Mines
TAMUK
University of Kansas.

Please feel free to criticize my choice of school too. Thank you
