OPPO Mobile, a global smartphone company that has for a long time led the way smartphones are designed around the world has again announced another invention in the Smartphone world. For the first time in the history of the world and technology, a smartphone with a hidden camera now known as Under-Screen Selfie Camera (USC) has been displayed publicly for the world to see. aking a look at OPPO’s Under-Screen Selfie Camera (USC) smartphone, you find no selfie camera, no motorized camera, no pop-up camera, no notch; all you see is screen. Little would you know that the camera is actually underneath the screen layer, which gives users the chance to use a full screen without any distortions. Unveiled on the 26th of June 2019 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai, OPPO Mobile explained the science behind the technology. OPPO Mobile says the display uses a custom transparent material that works with a redesigned pixel structure so that light can get through to the camera. The sensor itself is said to be larger than other selfie cameras, with a wider aperture lens in front. The area of the screen reserved for the camera still works with touch control, and OPPO says display quality won’t be compromised Without a doubt, OPPO Mobile has been able to show that it can provide users with ever more screen real estate where other smartphone manufacturers have struggled. Interestingly, the next best thing to the Under-Screen Selfie Camera (USC) technology, which is the mechanical pop-up cameras; was also pioneered by OPPO Mobile, leaving notches and pinholes behind design and performance wise. It is not surprising that OPPO has yet again pioneered the Under-Screen Selfie Camera (USC) smartphone technology. The brand has traditionally been known to fast track its technological advancements and bring them to market quickly – so it’s possible that we may have this tech in our hands sooner rather than later.

Even though OPPO Mobile phones haven’t been officially made available in Nigeria until last week, it is very unlikely that you have never heard about this brand before. OPPO is known for producing cutting-edge smartphones with numerous advanced features. Currently, there are 6 series of OPPO smartphones being produced and distributed around the world. While a typical OPPO phone is slightly more expensive than the phones you’re used to seeing in the local market, like Tecno and Infinix, owners of OPPO Mobile creations say their phones are worth every naira. The event where OPPO Mobile was finally officially launched in Nigeria took place on April 26 at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos. The presentation was headed by the top officials of OPPO Mobile Nigeria, as well as several representatives of the global office of OPPO Mobile. During the event, the speakers once again reminded the audience what OPPO is known for, which is innovation and striving to be the first one to include lots of important features in the smartphone industry. Some of the recent innovations unveiled by OPPO Mobile are 5G technology and the Internet of Things, which is why the launch of the brand’s smartphones in the Nigerian market means more Nigerians will get access to these groundbreaking technologies. The OPPO Mobile event was intended not only to present the new brand to the Nigerian audience but also to unveil two of OPPO’s 2019 flagship devices. The two new phones shown by OPPO are OPPO F11 Pro Avengers limited edition. The OPPO F11 Pro was described by the event speakers as an impressive camera phone, but while this device truly shoots fantastic photos in any lighting, it also has much more to offer to its buyers. Here are the most essential specs of the OPPO F11 Pro: Display size: 6.53 inches Display resolution: 1080×2340 pixels Build: plastic with glass front Colours: Thunder Black and Aurora Green Chipset: Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P70 RAM: 4GB/6GB Internal memory: 64GB/128GB OS: Android 9.0 Pie Main camera: 48MP + 5MP with LED flash Front camera: 18MP Battery: 4000mAh with fast charging The dual main camera setup has been widely praised by amateur and professional photographers – it is able to shoot portraits as good as an average DSLR camera. Other specs of the OPPO F11 Pro are equally impressive and the phone is guaranteed to win the hearts of Nigerian buyers. Timed with the release of the final chapter of the Avengers, the OPPO F11 Pro Avengers limited edition device is the ideal way for the fans to become one step closer to their favourite franchise. On the inside, the phone is identical to the main version of the OPPO F11 Pro. On the outside, however, the device is packed with the Avengers symbols and offers a range of Avengers accessories for further styling your device. The two devices are already available in select Nigerian stores. The original OPPO F11 Pro smartphone will cost you around ₦139,000, while the Avengers edition is slightly more expensive and retails for about ₦149,000.

From the look of things, OPPO is set to change the smartphone game in Nigeria with the F11 Pro. For the first time ever, there will be a smartphone that can shoot portraits on the level of professional cameras. The interesting thing about this F11 Pro is that it shoots perfectly in low light conditions; something no other smartphone in the world has been able to do comfortably. We gather that it flaunts a 48+5MP dual camera. It even packs a 64GB & 128GB (optional) of storage, which is more than enough to store at least 25,000 ultra high-resolution pictures on the phone itself. The phone shoots clearly and brightly in dark scenarios, thanks to the its large f/2.4 aperture. It can also shoot in various modes; something the photo-heads will love to explore. With the way things are looking, semi-professional and amateur photo enthusiasts might not need to carry bulky DSLRs around any longer; all they need to do is cop one of these pretty OPPO F11 Pro variants and they are good to go.

I have been seeing them online. The camera quality seems like it shoots like a DSLR, and I am a big photography freak, so I am pretty intrested in their coming into Nigeria. I do hope they bring in other phones like the Find X and Reno |

I don't know the exact price. But you can find the OPPO device in Lagos at any SLOT or POINTEK store abdeiz: |
The foldable phone frenzy has hit the global smartphone market, from Samsung's Galaxy Fold to Huawei's Matte X, this shows that like the industry giants OPPO, other smartphone companies are now focusing on innovation and breakthrough technology. This is a welcome development, as we were beginning to believe that only OPPO was really involved in thinking about technology and the future of the smartphone. If you recall, earlier this week at the MWC Barcelona, OPPO unveiled the world's first 10x lossless zoom, as well as the breakthrough technology in 5G connectivity and Hologram calling. Probably in a bid to rival these mindblowing developments of OPPO, Samsung released the Galaxy foldable phone. OPPO, as giants in the industry, have also released their own version of the foldable phone idea. One interesting take-home from OPPO’s folding smartphone is the fact that it is an improvement on the Samsung Galaxy Fold. OPPO’s folding phone has a much better screen-to-body ratio, unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which looks like a small screen tab with very large bezels. OPPO’s folding smartphone folds perfectly and cleanly, an area the Samsung Galaxy Fold falls short yet again; its hinge is a little too obvious. Once again, OPPO has proven why they are the giants of innovation in the smartphone industry.

Ariana Grande was left embarrassed after fans point out that her Japanese palm tattoo which was meant to read "7 Rings" actually translates to "shichirin" - a Japanese style barbecue grill. To celebrate the success of her latest single 7 Rings, Ariana decided to get the title etched on her palm in Japanese Kanji character symbols. Sharing a snap of the finished inking on her Instagram page, Ariana wrote: "This felt super good @kanenavasard jk (everyone thinks this is a fake hand but it’s indeed... my hand." However, fans were quick to point out the design was actually missing a symbol, and therefore translates differently. "Ariana Grande’s new tattoo means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings. If you want to know about (the symbols) just google 'SHICHIRIN'," one wrote, while another added: "Imagine getting bbq grill tattooed on your palm." Ariana then responded to her critics, insisting she wouldn't have managed to have another symbol added to the tattoo because its placement meant it was incredibly painful to have done. “Indeed, I left out (the other symbol) which should have gone in between," she wrote. "It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao (laugh my a*s off). But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time." Poking fun at the mistake, Ariana added: "Also... huge fan of tiny bbq grills.” She later deleted the initial tattoo picture and her tweet responding to the misspelling. Ariana isn't the only star to have had a misspelled tattoo. Britney Spears had hoped to have the word "mysterious" inked on her hip in Chinese characters, but an error means she actually has "strange" tattooed there instead. Meanwhile, actress Ashley Greene angered grammar nerds by having "lifes a dance" tattooed on her foot - without the apostrophe. |
