Hello Guys.
Please what would you say to someone like me that applied with my MSc?
I'm also done with the Verification last week and presented both my BSc and MSc.
So now on what level would I be given Appointment with NIS please.. A post was made on same issue on this same page by Sikpa04. You'll start on level 9 as happy has said. |

NarnieAceTech: Hello there. Please, I just want clarification on my own issue relating to what you posted. I registered with my OND cert while undergoing NYSC. Now I'm done with service, can I still upgrade with my BSc? If no, how do I upgrade to level 8 while in service? Check a post made by Sikpa04 on the previous page. To cut the long story, you cant upgrade with your BSc, because the date you got the BSc will be compared to when you got into the service. So as far as upgrading is concerned, the BSc is useless, you'll have to obtain another while in service. Like I said, check previous page. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 9:04pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
No one is upgraded with a certificate gotten before he gets the job, no one. The best that can be done is, due to how difficult it cant be getting approval to study, some officers go ahead and obtain a BSc while in service, and when it's time to upgrade, they find a way and get approval to study which is then back dated. But as Sikpa04 has said, upgrading isnt done with a certificate gotten before you got into the service. |

frank2zee: You mentioned something about maths or calculation in your previous post... Is this the maths you are talking about? Lol I mentioned maths? Never mentioned maths oga, ghostofAPA did. Maybe you should be sure of something before typing. I'm not forcing anyone to believe me, if you think you've gotten the job just because you have attended screening, then good luck to you. But whether you like it or not, a selection is still going to happen after the screening. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 9:32pm On Jun 03, 2021 |
Everygoodthing: So any idea on what the criteria for selection would be? No idea brother, na only them sabi that one. I want to back what I've said. When it comes to the military, when applying to the NDA, you know entrance exams will first of all be take, after which as of the last time I knew, 50 people were selected from each state to attend the armed forces selection board (AFSB) which is also screening. After credential screening, medicals, physical screening and all that, the number drops, and some go home. Mostly due to medicals sef, though the medicals done in the paramilitary isnt that serious. At the end, those remaining will now face the board. Some states will still have over 20 candidates left, some other states can still have more, some less. After facing the board, you then go home and then the waiting game begins. I think with the ongoing Immigration screening right now, there will be a time of waiting too after the screening, while the board selects who they'll take into the service. So please, no one should go and sit down after his screening and relax, thinking he or she has already gotten the job. Go and pray, those of you who have connections, go and disturb them. It is not yet over! I repeat, it is not yet over. No one has gotten the job yet just because they have attended screening. Attending the screening only means you're a step closer to getting the job, it isnt over yet. Those who have ears, let them hear. |

Whether you like it or not, the truth remains that not everyone who attended screening will be called to collect appointment letter. That's just the fact. |

a3adebayo: What is your problem with his decision, does it mean if you don't get immigrantion or federal government job u won't make it in life? Allow person pikin to reason and choose whatever he wants to do. How much is even immigrantion paying self, alots of people apply for diz job coz of idleness, not all apply 4 passion. This isnt the first time you're attempting to attack things I say, please respect yourself and leave me out of your talk. I no join nairaland because of you. I should allow someone do what he wants. If he wants to do what he wants then why then did he bring his problem to nairaland? If no be as you no dey use your head. Stop always trying to bring yourself out And if no be as you no get sense, you would have seen that I told him the decision is his to make and he should go and pray about it. I'll also advise you to go and pray, so God can issue you eyes and sense also. |

NarnieAceTech: Kindly point out where I said I was going to forfeit the screening exercise. I only said I hadn't made up my mind yet.
Since I didn't state it to you earlier, I just got this my current job less than a week before I got the invitation letter from NIS. I have been waiting on them since last year.
And if I don't get it next time I apply, I'll keep on trying till I get it. Peace I dont have the time to go and point anything out to you. Good luck with that. Peace |

NarnieAceTech: Thank you. You understand situations like this. I guess they've never been in such kind of situation before, so it easier for them to pass judgement. Baba no one is passing judgement You said you'll forfeit the screening, and later said you might change your mind at the 11th hour. No one put those words in your mouth. Somethings ba, you dont need advice. You claim the process has taken too long. Why didnt you change your mind all these while? Why is it now they are about concluding everything. You have an opportunity that most people are looking for, and you want to chicken out at this stage. Like I asked earlier, what are your chances of making it this far next time? Whether you made it this far through hard work or godfatherism. If through hard work, what makes you think others wont work harder than you next time? And if through a godfather, what makes you think he/she will still be willing to help after you've decided to throw away this opportunity. Baba you're the one to advise yourself on this matter, no one else will do it for you, and most importantly pray. If you have always dreamed of wearing a uniform, then zero your mind and work towards this offer, if not, then zero your mind and grow in your current field. Like I said, zero your mind, not the one you'll now start regretting tomorrow. |

NarnieAceTech: Like I said, I might change my mind at the 11th hour. So why'd you think I can't make the cut next time. Not every thing has to do with connection. I worked hard, did enough studying before the exam and I got shortlisted on merit. So? And who said anything about connection? Sorry eh, dont be annoyeded |

NarnieAceTech: I applied as an AII with my OND cert. Found out the level and pay isn't encouraging as I had earlier thought. I might just change my mind at the 11th hour though. Fingers crossed.
I have always dreamt about being a uniform man, so I'll definitely apply again. LOL what are your chances of getting this far when you apply again? And what are the chances that you wouldnt have to wait this long again when you reapply? My candid advice, work toward the Immigration job, with time you can upgrade. But if you want to do otherwise, fine, give person slot. God sef knows how He does His things. He has brought you this far, you now decide on your own not to accept the offer, not that they didnt shortlist you o, you decided on your own. Then you now want to reapply, and you expect to get it again? |

Gabicon20: Maybe u should read tru my write up again, this time with a willingness to understand d write up and u would see I didn't say 2 different things. I said he paid 20% before APL and he didn't even know d guy until d day he got his APL and that was over 6months after he made d advance payment of 150k. Oga d slot na ur own? if som1 who gets a slot for FREE decides to sell it for 300k, how is it ur problem? My brother u cannot stay in one part of Nigeria and use ur experiences to generalize without clause for exceptions. I'M TELLING U WHAT I KNOW, HE GOT FIRS FOR 750K, I didn't want to say this for some reasons but since u keep arguing let me tell u that he has even helped a few persons tru d same link and if I start mentioning d agencies u will argue more. Disclaimer; plz I don't have d link and I can't give any stranger anybody's number, I'm just telling d truth I know so wen u get a cheap genuine slot u wouldn't throw it away because some experience gods here say it is impossible. Plz no Dms. 10x. LMAO how can it be my problem. I no understand why you dey hyper, you just dey hyper. Where I wan even start answer you from? I'll rather not suffer myself. Good luck to you and those who will go and pay 300k for ASI slot. No need for much talk. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 7:36am On May 29, 2021 |
Gabicon20: In most cases, yes but not in all cases. I personally know someone who got FIRS for 750k last year and he paid just 20% before he got his APL, if he had come here 2 talk abt it maybe u guys would have discouraged him nd he wouldn't be in firs today. And to add to it he didn't know d man 4rm Adam, som1 introduced him to d man's boy on phone and he sent 20% to him without knowing him one on one. D first time he saw that guy was d day he got his APL over 6months after he paid that 20% and up till now he doesn't know d boss himself. ASI for 300k in nigeria is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE BUT POSSIBLE, d young man just need to be careful and follow his instinct if he is privileged enough to have an instinct that doesn't fail him. Gracias. You're saying two different things. You just said he paid 20% before he got appointment letter and paid 20% over 6 months after or something of that nature. Go back and ask your friend how much he actually paid for that job. You think I'll pay money for a job then you'll come and ask me how much I paid and I tell you the exact amount?. These things arent negotiable, no be fish you dey price for market. And as I've always said, no one will sell a slot for ASI for you for 300k, take it or leave it. Note that if you're not willing to pay this money, others dey wey go dey willing to pay even more. This thing no be wetin them dey beg anybody make him pay for. |

legendEMT: Let me add to the foregoing, when I told one of my friends that I was shortlisted for NIS exams Dec last year, He called someone in National Assembly who said it is 1.5M last. My friend jokingly said 1M. He asked the cadre, when He heard ASI, He bluntly refused. As God would have it, without Him, I am proceeding to the next stage with God only as my help. So for those talking about slot, desperation blinds the mind from seeing clearly. 300k for ASI is pure desperation and may lead to regrets. May God help us all. Dont mind all those saying 300k cam buy am ASI slot, them never know wetin them dey talk. May God see you through the final stages, and may you be successful. Amen |

Gbam!!! The big man has spoken |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 3:57pm On May 28, 2021 |
SuppoOmoo: Just to add to what few individuals have said on job slots...
Take it or leave it, slots must be given to those who deserve them. The list of these people are numerous so I ll leave those outside and only talk on those withing the department.
Within the department, the No 1 man, the CG will give slots to DCGs & ACGs. Few Controllers too, especially those that have Stations/Commands will also get slots depending on the loyalty to his boss. Note: Loyalty matters a lot in Khakki Jobs. A Controller may enjoy privileges from CG more than ACG on stuffs like this.
So, having lobied for and been given slots, the above mentioned Big Rank Officers may decide to give to their children, relatives or loyal acquaintances. Conversely, they may decide to sell it out but do you know the gimmicks? No high ranking officer will want to bring his name to mud by advertising job slots if he wants to sell. They sell it through their loyal young or mid-level officers or better still, through their matured orderly officers. That's the reason you hear some low ranking personnel claiming they can get you slots. They rely on their boss's slots. However, you may end up being scammed if you are gullible 'cos not all those who parade themselves of having slots do actually have.
On the prices of slots Leave it or take it, getting one star will have you part with nothing less than 800k to 1m. Two stars in Paramilitary Jobs is 1.5m. I am very sure that most other ranks are given out for free but few benefiaries will still have to part with between 300k to 500k even above depending on the middlemen just like someone has rightly said. That's the reality of the happenings in Nigeria Job Market today.
On whether the Ogas are aware or not They are damn aware of everything but it's the system which I am confident getting it better is just a mirage. In every recruitment exercise, aside the slots cornered by top Government Official and Politicians, each CG will always give slots to his counterparts in sister departments and his surbodinates within his department and usually enjoin that that they should use it to help people around them. These slots are usually ended up being sold.
A scenario happened during our induction training in my Command. Two different parents brought a case to our then Controller claiming they paid 1m and 1.2m respectively for thier children jobs to one of our mid-level officers but none of the two clicked. God bless the Big Man, in his diplomacy, he tried calm them down and had to lie that the said officer had been transferred out to other state. He also mildly scold the parents that why wiil they have to come to his station and make noise? Supposing the job had clicked as promised, would they have come to him for thanksgiving? afterall, he wasn't there when the deal was made. The parents had to leave sluggishly. One of the two guys eventually got the job via the third batch who have just concluded Induction Exercise recently. I don't know how the second one was settled
The bottom line is, for those who desire one star, you are either given free by your God-sent (many will get through this avenue) or you part with huge sum of money ranging 800k and above. And to other ranks, you may be lucky to have it even without knowing anyone. Those who will get the job eventually, you will hear a lot of stories of how your coursemates get the job during six months training as you guys will gist and open up to one another.
Just like I've always said, don't be gullible and so desperate to avoid being scammed. Legit sources dey, the opposite self dey.
IRE O, IRE KÀBÌTÌ!!! God bless the big man!!! |

Even ministry of works, a slot was sold at 800k recently, mr A who sold slot to mr B are very close and have a very close relationship. Anyone who thinks that jobs with all these juicy agencies are that cheap esp for a graduate doesnt know what he is saying. These slots are sold that high because in less than no time you'll recover your money back. Walahi anyone who is not able to pay should forget, they have people who are willing to pay even more. FG jobs are not that cheap, not to talk about a slot as an ASI in the Nigeria Immigration Service, one of the most coveted paramilitary jobs put there. |

Positions in the paramilitary as a graduate cost around 1.5 Even in the military, be it as a regular or through DSSC, slots are being sold. Last time I knew, slots to get into the Academy (NDA) were being sold for about 1.5m. Quote me anywhere o Why do you think it is often said that there are no jobs in Nigeria, and the few jobs there is, they are being sold so high that only the rich can afford it?
