I understand, the same thing happened to some of us then.. All these are just initial gra gra.. i was once in his shoe. I bet after 2 years they will be begging him to put on the uniform self grin
You were once in my shoe? Do you mind identifying yourself? Cos from what you've said, you're already in the service.

Don't mind him. He want use ministry of Defence where army love to Lord over everybody and how regular officers feel the own the job to compare with ministry of Interior that is more of a civilian organization
You've really lost it if you think paramilitary is more of a civilian organisation. With this mentality we shouldn't even be talking.

You are still a civilian. Forget about your APL, you are yet to be commissioned, no ID card. You are still a bloody civilian
FYI not everyone you see here is an applicant.

I have observed how you parade yourself up and down as ex boy. You better watch it
So as you've observed, what are you going to do about it? Issue me job or what? Talk to yourself and again pray to God to issue you sense maybe then you'll learn how to speak. Which kind of officer to be is this who just speaks and says things at will, you should watch it. You need to talk to yourself walahi

Mchearan:
Lmao . Civilian mentality. Don't worry your orientation will soon change and you will soon understand how the Board controls those agencies affairs. You have your duty, FFS have theirs, NSCD and Correctional are having theirs too. No favouritism or one agency been given higher priority than the other . You don't just come here and start writing base on your own civilian mentality without fact, you will firstly go back to what's inside each agencies budget and analyse how much government is investing on them. Do the check and balance by yourself and you will see how much government has been fair enough to each agencies. When we are even talking about recognition, NIS is not the first, only if you know how much recognition those NSCDC guys have. Lol i even saw another thing, "you are like apple of the eyes" then what should those correctional guys say grin
LOL civilian mentalityhuh You're a joke.

You no de shame to type dis thing?

How would you use regular vs short service commission to relate immigration vs NSCDC?

Oga park well abeg
Shame? If you fail to understand anything I've said, then that's on you. And please, if you're an officer to be, then learn to carry yourself as one and stop talking like a street boy.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 11:04am On Aug 18, 2021
LOL If you think it's just an illusion just because they earn same salary then ba wahala. I no dey talk again.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 10:55am On Aug 18, 2021
And for you who thinks the government doesn't recognise the NIS more than the NSCDC, then try getting your facts right. I'll give you an example in the military. Have you taken a look at both short service and regular cadets? Do you know how much the government invests in regular cadets? I won't go into kits and other things that are provided at no cost to the regulars and SSC cadets are not entitled to. There are levels to this thing, whether you like it or not, there are levels.
And me sayings they are not mates isn't trying to look down on other sister agencies, but to make you hold your heads up high, because you're like the apple of the eye. This doesn't mean you should now look down on other sister agencies because this will be the beginning of the end for who does that. But I still maintain whatever I've said, the NIS is miles ahead of the NSCDC, despite the fact they earn same salary.

Kaeboy:
I just tire! Dem no be mate! Dem no be mate!! But you won't earn better than them. Not like government will recognize you more than them.

My neighbor is a civil defense officer, he has a fueling station and using a SUV and he's not in oil area. It's all about how you manage your finances and create more source of income.

Instead of thinking of how to utilize the opportunity to create side business to have multiple income, someone is thinking of illegal money. Abeg o, make una try no sink this country further, most of you were part of our historical endsars, now is time to make a difference, don't extort people no matter what. There are cooperatives you can be part of in the service to get money to fund side business.
Wait, where have I spoken about extortion? Can you point me to one place? I just need one place where I spoke about extortion. Whether any of you like it or not, the NIS is regarded more by the government because they are a revenue generating agency, and those are the people who the government value. Yes I like the NSCDC, yes they earn same with the other sister agencies, but there are levels to this thing. One body, yes, they perform different functions, but the NIS is on a higher level to the NSCDC. And I'm not asking for your opinion. Anyone here with insight would understand what I'm saying.

Epistasis:
They are not mates yet they earn the same salary, what are you talking about this man?. Everybody knows that NIS is the best in the ministry of interior, so save us the sermon. The most important thing is to get a job with either NIS or NSCDC that pays your bills and make life better for you. Dem no be mate stuffs na story story abegg.
I wasn't preaching a sermon, and most importantly I didn't mention your name in anything I said, so I don't understand the need for you to come to me in the manner you just did.
You have just said the same thing I said by saying NIS is the best in the ministry of interior. You need to know how to talk mr man, you don't just try to disrespect everybody you see online just because you have a phone and Internet connection. Stop trying to bring yourself out.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 9:55am On Aug 18, 2021
In as much as I don't agree with the glorified security guard things, truth remains that the NIS is miles ahead of the NSCDC. Yes a junior personnel will pay complement to his superior in all sister agencies, it is only right. But take it or leave it, NIS and NSCDC no be mate. That's just the fact. For the guy talking about 70% of personnel's in the NIS not getting more than their basic, should get his facts right. And for the oil guy, hope you're aware NIS personnel's also work at sea ports? I wouldn't disrespect the NSCDC as a whole because they are doing a great job. They have grown a lot, but, but, but, NIS no be their mate. Same salary scale, yes, same ranks and all, yes, but the NIS is ahead of them.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 10:20pm On Aug 17, 2021
Shogologo:
I believe many people will choose NSCDC. 04 surpass 03 only with slight difference in pay. Buh you're more of a glorified security guard with civil defense.
I believe you'll make extra cash on the job with NIS than NSCDC
More of a glorified security guard? I don't think this is a very nice thing to say. These are people who their top officers rub shoulders with generals during security meetings and all. Yeah, the military earns better, but trust me, you'll barely see a security meeting without these people you call glorified security guards.
No doubt the NIS is one among the most juiciest paramilitary jobs out there, and is more to be envied than the NSCDC, but trust me, they are not just glorified security guards as you think. Let's be guided with things we say please.

Oh... That's good to hear.. thanks
Wat abt Sumone coming from makurdi?
He or she should go to benue links park opposite living faith Church at wurukum and take a bus to abuja. They'll take him to their park at area3. From there he can use bolt to the HQ. If he is spending the night before going to the office, he can get in contact with his colleagues here who are going to lodge at lugbe, and from there go to the HQ by morning. Bolt from area3 to lugbe should be around 1k (that's if he has promo). Hope this helps?

You can actually put forward your thoughts without using negative words on someone else's matter. Saying your fellow applicant will be disqualified is uncalled-for.

I understand you meant no harm but your word could be interpreted as though you are bittered about his progress.

I suggest you retract that line. Thank you.
Oga sir, I didn't use any negative word, neither am I bittered about anyone's progress here. As a matter of fact, I'm pleased for all who have made it this far. And contrary to what you or anyone else will think, what I said is more like a piece of advice. Thanks sir

Why will you be counting kg 1 ,2, 3? Who goes through kg 1,2,3? Do you spend all your childhood in kindergarten?
Kids now start kindergarten at age 2.

Kg 1 and then straight to nursery school or highest with kg 2.

You can claim you had double promotion in both nursery and primary school, and many
people wrote common entrance in pry 4. E no be anybody problem if you claim to finish early because it's not new, there are kids who finish at that period. Just mk sure it's explanable.

That's if the person in charge is asking for explanation. Just have affidavit to back it up and follow soppomo advice.
Oga there is no way anyone finishes primary school at the age of 5. You think these people aren't experts in all this things? Walahi anyone going to say he finished at the age of 5 should do so at his/her own risk. You'll just find yourself at home.
You all should stop saying things have changed. No one finishes primary school at the age of 5, no one. You'll just be disqualified.

No one should be scared, rather be prayerful. I was told that whoever scales this stage is employed. For the criteria that would be used, that I don't know.

Lol mister I'm not a prospect. See this baba o. Abeg no dey address me as alaye, make you just respect yourself. You claim not to be a prospect, but you've shown none of the ethics desiring of a gentleman officer. That up there is a conduct unbecoming of a gentleman officer. The same way I dont know you, you dont know me either. And I'll rather not introduce myself to you. You simply just want to bring yourself out, as per white fowl. You claim not to be a prospect and you cant tell the salary of an IA. That place wey you claim to dey ba, I don dey there before o, just know. No be mouth. NIS, FFS, Correctional and Civil defense their salary is almost the same... It might varies with just 1k-#1500... But, 1 is 127k that's 100% sure quote me anywhere
Are you all aware that when you print your pay slip, you realize that what you take home as your salary isnt actually the amount youre being paid? Are you aware that there are certain taxes and levies deducted from your salary each month? Or you think just because you're paid maybe 127k, then your take home is exactly 127k? I laugh. You can quote me anywhere either! I still stand by what I said. I'll say nothing again about this salary stuff after this post.

Meanwhile police 1 star have started receiving 150k
Lol I no go even answer you. Shey you first said 2018? Stand by what you're saying.

Wonderlaco:
114k was the old pay

When minimum wage was review as of 2018 December it was increase to either #121k to #127k or so
114k isnt the old pay. Even as of 2019 ASI were still collecting 114k. I dont know where you got the info from that they collect 127k.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by BIGOB: 8:58pm On Jun 12, 2021
Wonderlaco:
I think for 1 star it's 127k same as ffs
When everything that need deducting have been deducted, you'll go home with something around 114k or there about.

Abeg na how much be the salary biko?

and do they pay any bonuses or Christmas/ 13th month or any sort of allowances.?
No such thing as 13th month. And as someone has rightfully said, salary is dependent on rank.
But I can tell you without any doubt that, you'll be paid the normal salary of the rank you join the service with even during induction.

It is for those that scale through and those that have strong connect
