By small odds I don't mean, on teams with 1.12 or 1.08 types of odds o, infact I don't advice anyone to selects such odds and put big money...

By small odds I mean 1.60 to win but if u can take like four of such types win or draw... U should get about 1.98 to 2.00 odds... Put Ur big money and go pray they either win or worst draw...

Dear nairalanders,

I am a young man of just 25 years. I just concluded my NYSC last month and Glory to God, i was able to get a graduate trainee role and awaiting confirmation in the next 2 months with a possible salary upgrade of more than 200k. But the issue is I am born into a family where our financial status is well below average and I want to break out of this cycle and get rid of all poverty mentality and live a comfortable life.
Till date, I've tried my hands on businesses and even buying stocks (US) but i only encountered losses in the stock and lost almost 30k+ out of the 50k+ i invested.

I'm hoping I'd get lots of advise from you experienced people as i really don't want to be poor. I've lived a really poor life, slept outside throughout my undergraduate days and couldn't even afford to buy new clothes for myself prior to now.

Please give me insight into how i can manage my life and this current salary.

A salary is a drug which they give to you so u can forget about your dreams...

What am trying to say is that salary no matter how much they increase it can't liberate one from poverty...

But for the moment try and think of getting a tech skills that can benefit u outside this country as u also make plans on how to Japa...

There was this lady I met on Facebook, so we started dating, she comes to my house several times...

But I never knew where she stays, she never gave me that chance to know where she stays... I wasn't bothered anyway...

So there was a time she called me and said she wanna see me, I told her I am not at home, she insisted she would come and meet me wherever I am, so I honoured her request...

I quickly rushed back to the bar, opened the bag and purse she left on the table, only for me to see garbage and rubbish inside... (Then it dawned on me that I have been fooled)...

Fast forward to 57 days after, ... After mapping out rigoros plans on how to catch her, using a neutral friend from her Facebook page ... I caught her and she was given the beaten of her life before my very eyes...

I never imagined a girl of about 19 years old will be beaten the way that girl was beaten, infact people had to beg me to tell the guys around to stop beating her before she dies and everything will be blamed on me...

During this whole planning of how to catch her, I had visited three police station... Telling them how the girl stole my phone and am planning on arresting her and bringing her to the station where I can legally lay charges on her, and then she would pay for damages...

But hell no, all these police station plans never materialize cos the crowd alone that gathered that day was so enormous... Someone even told me that if even the police come to that scene they would not carry that girl away Except they shot someone...

This is the only scenario where someone would have been lynched in my presence...

He was asked to call his father to come and rescue him... I was shocked when the father came in and they explained all to his father and instead of him (father) to quietly pay the money and save his son from further beating he did nothing, and the boys continued slapping the young man in the presence of his father... I felt so sad, I had to walk away, I felt the man let his son down, no matter what... Please guys what do u think...
