Speaking in tongues is a rare gift, What most Christians do is praying in tongues. Rom 8 :26 says we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in human words. When you one allows the Holy spirit to pray through them, the result is the seemingly "meaningless" words.
