Fellow Farmers, how possible is it to stock 15 broodstock last year. ended up using 4 from January. only to empty the whole pond today and meet no fish. There isn't any single skull in the pond. Pond type (Earthen Concrete pond). Pls need urgent answers, currently having lots of thoughts running through my mind

tarpaulin pond, I feed morning and night, I change water twice a week and the are a month old from juvenile. some have not even added since then up till now.

capital intensive, thats my greatest fear, I’m going to share a picture when I’m home, the pelletizing machine looks funny it was fabricated by a friend farmer years ago, we stopped using it cos getting the accurate feed components were impossible for my dad, either the fishes over fed and theyd die with a protruded belly or they die decay In the pond or one thing or the other and it gets the pond dirty after each days eAting, extruding machine should be a good option for me right now , I don’t really want to spend money Buying feeds, I’ll be selling some fishes from next month, I already have some 1.+ fishes now, I’ll sell and try to save some money from there

my location is abia, ok for now I don’t really know the annual production capacity, my my father might haatch up to 1500/1800 fingerlings, some die along the line tho, he shares them in the ponds

how do I come in?? I'm very much interested, I'm into rabbits and poultry, am almost done setting up ponds for catfish as I hope to begin latest next month

my issue is feeding costs and the fishes growing to 1.5+ in 6months,
The fishes consume about 10bags of feeds under 3 weeks and that’s excruciating

i inherited a fish farm from my dad, we’ve got this pellet machine, I want to fabricate the extruding machine, but I don’t really know much about the cost analysis or range

Not too sure about this, moreover cassava sales is on the high side now. Quite expensive and scarce.

@bilag17 Good Morning Sir, how is business and family. I have not been around for quite a while. As discussed, I ventured into cropping due to the limited time I have to take care of my stocks. I hope to be back to this venture as soon as possible. Very glad you are still active on this thread to show us the way. I only have positive reviews with your broodstocks and i hope you still have them in their lineage.

My shout out also goes to @excelsiorfarm , @robonski15, @Ttalk and other contributors. i will always update the house.

NB: Agriculture is the only respectable job that does not require your CV though you have to be very tactical.

For those doing earthen pond farming, its time to fortify your barricades to prevent flood (Just my advice).
