Glad Kelechi scored a goal on his first game since his injury. Goes to show that he's not the kind of player that can be washed out by injury. And he scored in 5 minutes as well. Impressive

I sincerely look forward to seeing he and Awoniy wreak havoc on the oppositions' defence at the world cup and prove that their u-17 exploits were no fluke.

Meanwhile, what's up with Isaac Success? That dude may just end up as a wasted talent....he'll most likely lose his place on the team as well
Isaac success played full 90 mins for Granada dis night against Valencia but they lost 4-0
He also played full 90 mins last weekend so he is in top form to hit the german flying eagles camp, just that his team mates are not good enough, they keep losing

Is it Awoniyi, Yahaya, Alampasu, Iheanacho, Chidiebere, Chidera, Zaharadeen Bello or Musa Muhammad that are up to 25?

Cuz if it's any of those guys, I can get you a pic of them 2 years ago and one of them now and then you'll have to tell me if you know anyone in their 20's who has such rapid change in physique in 2 years (if you even know any)
its the recent members of the team that didn't go to the U17 world cup but are currently the main players that I believe is like 6 yrs above 20......players like Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, Bernard bulbwa Ifeanyi Mattew, ojo, nwobodo

bulbwa failed MRI test 2013 and didn't go to the world cup but is now back in the team

Yahaya,chidera Eze,iheanacho awoniyi are the real u20

PoliticsOpinion: Why I Am Now For Jimi Agbaje: Former Ambode Supporter by billante(op): 11:32pm On Apr 09, 2015
I used to be a supporter of APC candidate Akinwunmi Ambode for the Lagos gubernatorial elections for 2015. My support was because of a personal liking for the man who smiled at me from all those posters and billboards. However, that has changed and I am now in the Jimi Agbaje’s PDP corner. You need to know why.

The first reason is that the APC will control the federal government from May 29. They will also be in the majority in the Senate and the House of Representatives. From my projections, it seems they will also win more governorship positions next Saturday.

I am very worried about the implications of such a super majority for the APC. I believe that every democracy needs strong opposition to really thrive. If the APC becomes such a super majority, I fear that they would begin to take Nigerians for granted the way the PDP did for so long. Since the APC will be the dominant party it would be a great thing for the PDP to control a large state like Lagos from where they can be the voice of the opposition. That does not stop the federal government and Gen. Buhari from doing positive projects for the state, unless the APC is saying that the FG it will lead will discriminate against non-APC states.

To be sincere are you not worried about how things are going to be with APC leader Bola Tinubu pulling weight in the centre and in Lagos as well? A man who ‘Financial Times’ recently called ‘Machiavelli’, who knows how to manipulate the media and divert resources for the extension of his personal fiefdom. We need a counter check for him and his party. So Agbaje should win.

Ambode as the APC candidate of APC has professional qualification and experience as an accountant. Jimi Agbaje on the other hand belongs to an entrepreneurship background where he has founded a company, excelled as the CEO and subsequently as director of JayKay Pharmacy. An accomplished pharmacist, he held several positions in the pharmaceutical union and has vied for the position of Governor of Lagos, no less than two times.

Ambode, just like Fashola is a product of the Jagaban school of the unknown. The recent documentary on Asiwaju Bola Tinubu makes me fear what the implications of voting Ambode is. Governor Fashola did well in his first term and I wondered what happened in his second term and I figured from what I saw about Tinubu in that documentary that Fashola may have refused to play ball. What if Ambode decides to play ball and gives in to Tinubu’s every whim? Then Lagosians will be in trouble.

In Lagos, the APC collects tax indiscriminately from traders, vocational workers, professionals etc. They collect money from the toll gates in Lekki which has proven to be bad business because they have paid up to 62billion on the Lekki-Epe Expressway road and the road is not halfway complete.

The APC regime has been very elitist, with Tinubu converting The General Hospital land into estate according to the documentary and backdating the Certificate of Occcupancy of Lagos State lands to claim ownership of land in Lagos anytime he wants. Even the land where the Ikeja Mall now belongs is for him- that land originally belonged to Lagos State.

The Lagos State Polytechnic land at Ikosi was converted for commercial use for TV continental and Radio continental. What sort of governance is that? We need to try someone else who will look at Tinubu and not be under any obligation for his sake. Besides Agbaje is not beholden to any godfather in the way Ambode is. People keep referring to Bode George as his godfather. I was surprised to hear recently from an Agbaje campaign staff that George has not contributed a dime to Agbaje’s campaign since he won his primary. He doesn’t even have such wealth like Tinubu to contribute as much. So on what basis Would Agbaje be his stooge?

It’s evident that we need a new lease of life in Lagos based on this message of change. Buhari was given benefit of doubt to ensure that things work well in Nigeria, we need to give Jimi Agbaje that opportunity. Jimi like General Buhari has been attempting to serve us and we need to consider that in this season of change. We need to be wary of people that are deliberately selected by godfathers that have the state on lockdown already.

Lastly, what finally made me conclude to vote Agbaje was the outburst of the Oba of Lagos. The Oba gathered Igbo leaders because of their support for Jonathan and their impending support for Agbaje and said that they will perish in the Lagoon if they vote the way they voted last Saturday – that is voting for Jonathan.

This is a free country. What sort of desperation will make a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police say that? In Nigeria when such happens, you should know that it’s more than the credibility of the candidate. It’s the benefit of the ruling elite which constitutes the Oba of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other APC stalwarts. It’s more than it meets the eye. I am a Yoruba man but I will vote Agbaje and make a point to the Oba that Nigeria is bigger than us all and we are one people.

Godfatherism has reached a great milking level in Lagos. We need an election of Jimi Agbaje to cut the milking of Lagos by godfathers and monarchs. Should Jimi Agbaje allow godfathers to rule him? We will vote him out in 2019 because our votes now count.

When govt says it created so so amount of jobs, it involves every new job created in the country within the administration tenure both by private companies and govt establishments.

For example through FG incentives, General electric came and established its presence in the country and employed people to build and run a big manufacturing plant in calabar and still going to employ more.....other companies like the new Electricity companies, nollywood, music konga, jumia, rice, sugar, fertilizer, automobile, steel, oil and gas companies etc also doing same.

All these with govt job establishments within the period like sure-p, youwin, armed forces etc are what make up the millions of job the govt is saying that was created....They are not saying all the new jobs created are federal govt employees

Its also like that in other countries

Nigerians still didn't know what they want. They still want to manage a dirty cloth when a cleaner one is out there. This is what is happening today in Nigerian politics.

It is not a hearsay that this regime is a 'billion sharing' one, yet some die-hard fans of 'FEAR' doesn't want CHANGE!

FEAR is False Expression Appearing Real.

FEAR is what makes a small baby see ghost in his dreams. It will not let you see light at the end of the tunnel.

The bible said...'Who through fear were subject unto bondage all their lives...'
That is the case with a shallows thinking Nigeria. You fear everything and then remain in bondage of those who smile and do wickedness.

Well, here are the reasons why you shouldn't vote for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Azikiwe of the PDP:

If APC comes in, they will surely perform in 4 years because if they didn't, PDP might get back the post. This is why AMERICA is great. They have two equal party: DEMOCRATIC and REPUBLICAN. Since none of the two wants to lose its grip on power, their presidential candidate will do his best to make sure he doesn't disappoint because of the consciousness of the other party overtaking.

Now, do you think that JONATHAN would have kept silent about Boko Haram issue at the onset if he knew an 'APC' is going to emerge from nowhere to give him sleepless night? He thought it would be the normal easy ride, but now he is seeing it in an unexpected way.

Do you think GEJ would have been busy sharing billions of naira with his senators and co. instead of attacking BH if he knew that a particular weak ANPP will join hands with another ACN to give him tough time?

Now GEJ thinks he could renew his spoilt face and name, therefore he decided to shift the election and face BOKO HARAM. Oh! What a late fight! If you don't prevent cancer at early stage, you can't cure it at late hours.

[color=blue]If GLO didn't step in to make phone calls go by seconds, MTN would still have been monopolising power, and our calls would remain 50 naira per minute as it was earlier.

[b]IF PDP WINS, THEN THEY WILL JUST DO IT THE WAY THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT, BUT IF APC WINS, THEY WILL DO ALL THEY COULD TO MAKE SURE THEY DON'T LOSE IT. AND ONE THING IS THIS: IF JONATHAN LOSES, POLITICIAN IN NIGERIA WILL KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT VOTING FOR PARTY BUT FOR PERSONALITY AND THEY WILL SIT TIGHT.

ONE MORE THING, THE FEAR OF GEJ'S SUPPORTER IS THAT EVEN THOUGH BUHARI IS NOT CORRUPT, HE WILL BE INFLUENCED BY PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT HIM IN. NO! IT IS FALSE!
EVERYONE THOUGHT GENTLE JONAH WILL BE OBJ'S BOY, BUT POWER IS INTOXICATING. OBJ WAS PUSHED OUT OF THE WAY BY GENTLE JONAH. HOW MUCH MORE WILL BUHARI PUSH OUT CORRUPT PEOPLE OFF HIS WAY IF HE DOESN'T WANT THEM, JUST THE WAY HE DID BACK IN THOSE DAYS WHEN HE RULED NIGERIA? AND FOR THOSE WHO THINKS THAT TINUBU WILL BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE GENERAL WHILE ON SEAT, YOU ARW ALL MAKING A BIG MISTAKE. AS IN, PRESIDENT IS LIKE A god. READ ABOUT JOSIAH, A 8YR OLD KING IN THE BIBLE AND YOU WILL GET MY POINT!

PLS THINK ON THIS MATTER!
@OP with this your logic would you want the same change to happen in Lagos state?)

Oga shut up now now...have you seen the 2015 budget? Is there anything in it to suggest that GEJ has any good plan with 91% recurrent expenditure and a paltry 9% capital expenditure and you are here spewing nonsense.....2014 he spent 1.1trillion naira on capital projects and in 2015 he is proposing 387 billion naira on capital projects! Meaning all capital projects will automatically be abandoned if Nigeria is so unfortunate that GEJ wins!
capital budget for this yr is 700 billion naira to start with, why the ratio of the capital budget to the budget being lower dis yr as everybody know is because of fall in oil price which translate to lower revenue
either the recurrent or capital has to be reduced, and you and I know its suicide for Gej to cut salaries/recurrent expenses.....so the cut has to come from the capital budget

But the FG can raise bonds and loans to finance and complete its infrastructure capital projects as scheduled...so your argument doesn't hold water

This is why its wisdom to re-elect Jonathan.....Most of his projects that will tackle most of this country's problems are at transition/construction stages. E.g power projects, Railways, oil sector, Agriculture, corruption, security, education,Roads etc

Mistakenly electing the opposition party APC will only truncate all the process and shoot ourselves in the foot.....Its all crystal clear that if APC comes into power they will use the first two yrs of their administration cancelling and probing all GEJ projects and programs just to spite him and justify their call of incompetence on GEJ administration,

They will use the 3rd yr to start bringing up ideas of how to execute their own programs while they will start the actual real work on most of the key needed projects by the beginning of the fourth yr and final yr of their first term, and most of these projects will need 3-6 yrs to build and complete thereby asking for another four yrs from nigerians to complete their programs

Wasting another four yrs which jonthan would have used to complete his own projects and deliver them to nigerians , thereby nigerians continue to suffer and wait for basic amenities and economic prosperity.

An example to buttress my point is the nigerian U17 team golden eaglets that just perform below expectation at the just concluded african championship, if we follow gullible nigerian mentatlity they are suppose to be disbanded and new players picked for the world cup without knowing that doing that will truncate a building/growing process that is suppose to blossom at the U17 worldcup or even at the next level which is U20 team.

We should use our God given sense to vote in this election without emotions and short sightedness or we will continue to run a rat race and never get things down in this country

Nigeria- The Nigerian National Petroleum Commission, NNPC yesterday said some positive optimistic things about the turn around maintenance of Nigeria's refineries . The Nation reports.

The Coordinator, Corporate Planning, and Strategy of the NNPC, Dr. Tim Okon, told the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), in Abuja while defending the budget proposal of the corporation, that the NNPC had worked out an alternative local arrangement that would enable it refine about 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily after the completion of ongoing rehabilitation.

“The refineries would work again at full capacity, we already have plans to bring them back to perform at full capacity.

He said the management considered the prices to be high and decided to look inward by inviting local contractors that are familiar with the facilities and worked with them.

He said, “Going forward, we have been able to reduce the cost of doing the TAM from $550m to $152million.

“By the first quarter of next year, all the refineries will be functioning optimally and we would be able to refine an average of 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day for local consumption.

“However, another advantage of what we are currently doing is that instead of shutting down the facilities while the TAM lasted, we will be producing even when the rehabilitation work is ongoing.

Stupidity is when you see some gullible and brainwashed people jubilating about the rehabilitation of Benin-Ore and Lagos-Ibadan federal roads while federal roads in their own domain are still in a deplorable state.

Lagos,Ogun and Oyo state governments did not use state funds to rehabilitate Lagos-Ibadan expressway and where paid later neither did Mimiko and Adams Oshiomole do the same for Benin-Ore expressway. Their incessant cries and that of motorists forced FG to rehabilitate the roads. Why then should Enugu and Anambra state governments do the same for Onitsha-enugu road?
Gej is not a tribalistic President that will only favour his people and regions that support him....he is the kind of president that will build new rail lines or roads in region that don't like him......he is a leader that has repeatedly said Nigeria is one and can never divide under his watch

He distributes the countries resources without favouring any region heavily or partially

There are so many projects fighting for fg revenues,onitsha-Enugu road is a matter of time and the wind of transformation will get to it...

And like some people living in that area has already confirmed anambra state with agreement of fg to reimburse later is currently constructing its portion of the expressway, it remaining Enugu state govt to tow the same line, because the bad portion the op posted is at the Enugu portion.

President Goodluck Jonathan has said he will open the door for new people, including those who oppose now, to join his administration and serve Nigeria if he finally wins the race to return as the country’s president on March 28.

Likewise, the president has pledged to hunt down the Boko Haram insurgents, whose operations he acknowledged, had caused collateral destruction of lives and property in the North-east in particular.

The president expressed the view in a document that emanated from a meeting he held with Strategy Group, a forum of trusted northerners and southerners on February 14.

As contained in the document, the president said he would inject new blood into his cabinet if re-elected, saying the door “will be open for new people to join me and serve including even those who oppose now.”

The document addressed diverse challenges currently confronting the North at large, citing the scary poverty kid, which it acknowledged, had aggravated the operations of the Boko Haram insurgents.

The document said: “It is true I lost of time in dealing with this problem. This was because I listened to advice to try several tracks and not just the military option. We tried the political and negotiation track.

“It did not work. Now I am going for an all-out assault in conjunction with our neighbouring countries and other helpers. We shall hunt them down so we can provide a more secure future for our citizens in these areas. I thank our courageous men and women in the armed forces for their sacrifice.

“I understand the poverty problem of the North. I see the destruction of lives and property caused by Boko Haram. Once we drive out Boko Haram, I shall personally take charge of a rebuilding programme for the North-east. I have already put instruments in place and will use them.

“I have PINE, Save School Initiative, Greenbelt and Victim Fund among others. I shall use these instruments to improve lives and livelihoods and give our citizens in these areas a better future,” the document said.

The document, also, detailed the feat the Jonathan administration in power sector, noting that his government “has pushed further on power than other government. We have privatised the sector so that new and better owners and managers can help us.

“But I know power has not improved to the extent we want. This is largely due to lack of gas and pipeline vandalisation. My plan is to tackle this through employment of technology to help deter and detect vandals.

“I am also diversifying power sources, already mainly to hydro so we are not dependent on one source. We are building massive dams such as Kashimbila, Zungeru and Mambila to help us. I plan to exploit coal as well.”

It incisively x-rayed the effort of the administration in the fight against corruption, noting that his administration had convicted more corrupt officials than any administration since return to civil rule in 1999.

The document rolled out how the Jonathan administration had been using modern platforms and technology to fight corruption, which it said, reflected in the rating of the Transparency International.

“I am committed to fighting corruption. Contrary to the misinformation you get, this administration has achieved a lot on this front and the Transparency International rating for Nigeria is better now than it was a decade ago. I acknowledge and accept we still need to improve.

“We are far from where we need to be. But we have fought oil subsidy fraud, pension fraud, fertilizer fraud and cleaned these up. We are using technology to build electronic platform to manage our finances and personnel payroll and stop leakages there. This is the way we must go in the future.

“I plan to put in place the institutions and systems to stop leakages. The EFCC has made many more arrests and convictions in this administration than ever before. I respect the rule of law and people are punished if found guilty,” the document quoted the president saying.
