There is a recent trend among music lovers especially teenagers who conclude that a new favorite artist in town is equal or way better than an existing music super star.

Wizkid and davido for instance like Beyonce and Chris brown and justin bieber are on a new level.

Decade of doing music and the business in it is not easy. Well many don't know that many great artist never lasts more than their 'sweet' single.
I am not saying there is no future for the fast rising talent but sometimes giving too much expectation has its side effect.

Consistency is greatness
many new artist come in and shine and setting new records but are overwhelmed when industry becomes challenging. Like messi and Ronaldo it's not about playing well for a season but consistently.
Many a time we forget that it takes consistent effort to give a good taste of music In a seemingly insatiable fanBase.

Music is a business not just talent
Many times rising stars depend on their talent to the extent that they forget the business of music such as fitting content, good video, publicity, fleeing from image wrecking scandal and others. We have seen cases when artist are overwhelmed by the praises splashed on them by elated and bandwagon fans. Yeah I said that. They end up taking decisions which tell grossly on their career. One of which is inability to manage freedom from RECORD LABELS. To this extent wizkid and davido have incredibly beaten and continually cross the hurdles of the music industry.

Every year is a new year

This is applicable to the music industry. Every year new artist arrive so gallantly and like the new year, many don't surpass more than the gifts of good music they give us that year. They struggle and are swept into oblivion and mostly called "clout chasers" when they speak on matters on the social media. What a life. Wizkid and davido have given good music every new year. What a gift to the industry.


Fame is as sweet as deadly

Its not easy to handle fame and wealth that come with a rising super star. Most times many become so arrogant that they become uncontrollable and the managerial team seem to suffer for the job loss when these artists end up being financially unable to keep up with that lifestyle of having a team around. Wizkid and davido have kept this fame for a decade.

The wrong choice for comparison
Most times we compare every damn rising artist with wizkid and davido. we have artist who have spent 3 years as stars and no one chose to compare them with the fast rising artists. Many artist are not recognized globally like wizkid and davido but have stayed with the best local content we should appreciate. We most times forget to acknowledge them but prefer to compare music warlords with music warriors.

Money vs humanity
Many a time we can tell artist from them selves when they start a good tide in the industry. Remember, some artist love good music while some love good profit. Many artist just want to make money from music that they forget music is a soul and feeds on good mix of melody and lyrics that is not far from the reality. when some artists make money they sing at will and without critical check. While others don't make money as such but do not stop giving the good music.
Wizkid and davido are so rich but still believe in music for the love of it. Nowadays its hard to tell which musicians just want to be heard for their service to humanity. Healing the soul with sound.

Finally, music takes more than just toping playlists and getting good reviews. Its a office, a company and a business. The moment we realise that we would realize why wizkid and davido are superstars.

I think we need to show that we are serious. I can t even believe that every tom, dick and harry can post on a Christian thread. It is very anti-Christian and a sign of giving reverence and supremacy to a religion over another.
