The response came yesterday at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna wher Faruk, a frequent face at the Sheik Ahmad Gumi’s Ramadan sermon, was asked to speak, from the elders’ perspective, on Asari’s threat to Northern Nigeria. A source at the event related to SaharaReporters that Alhaji Faruk first commented that the elders had waited to hear whether President Goodluck Jonathan would say something about Asari’s threats to cut off the North and his bragging about the armoury under the NDVF, but that no such response had come. Of the elders, he then noted that they were the ones that fought the civil war. “We conquered them including their Bayelsa and gained victory, the answer I will give him is he is not the first to fly the kite.” Faruk said that before the start of the civil war in 1967, his government set Chief Obafemi Awolowo free from prison although it was another government that had put him there. “Eventually when the war was to start with Biafra, [b][Awolowo] went to Ibadan and gathered all Yorubas that they should know the war about to commence was between the North and the East, and the Yoruba in the West were not part of it,” he said. “We received this with shock and the whole Northerners met in Kaduna and we issued them a warning that we heard they (Yoruba) were not part of it and we agreed but we have one demand,” he said. That condition, according to him was the establishment of a One Mile Corridor. “From Offa which is in our region, from the rail line to the sea (wharf) we declare One Mile Military Corridor, meaning all of them who built houses within One Mile, we will crush down their houses. And nobody will stop our vehicles and vessels from accessing the sea, this we told our Yorubas in Ilorin to tell them. And from that time we never hear them. HORROR IN LAGOS:Brothers kill brother By: PHILIP NWOSU, MATTHEW DIKE and GILBERT EKEZIE Friday, July 27, 2012 2 brothers caught with body parts of dead brother The entire Festival Town, commonly called FESTAC in Lagos was thrown into pandemonium on Thursday evening as a decomposing body of a man was discovered inside a duplex on B Close, House 6 of 3rd Avenue. Omotola and Toye kneeling before the decomposed body of Akinbuyi advertisement The decomposing body, it was gathered, was that of the younger sibling of two brothers allegedly living together in the duplex which was left for them by their deceased parents. The corpse was identified as that of Akinbuyi Ajayi, 39, living in the same apartment with Toye Ajayi and Omotola Ajayi, who were identified as his brothers. He was allegedly killed by his brothers and his body kept in a room inside the flat. The corpse had been mutilated by the two brothers. A police source alleged that Toye and Omotola were selling the body parts of their brother for money, adding that the two were caught with some human parts which eventually led to a search on their apartment by law enforcement personnel. Toye and Omotola were suspected to have chopped off the head, hands, private part and part of the two legs of Akinbuyi and allegedly sold them to suspected ritualists. The decomposing body of Akinbuyi was moved by the policemen attached to FESTAC Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Mohammed Mu'azu, a Chief Superintendent of Police and officials of Amuwo Odofin Local Government council to a morgue, while the police took other items recovered from the house into custody. Residents of FESTAC came out in their large numbers to watch the horrifying spectacle as the council officials and policemen removed the body. Apart from the body that was recovered from the house, charms, amulets, a pot filled with human blood and two large dummies of human beings were discovered. Some of the charms and amulets were concealed inside a carton with the inscription: Lord Krishna Agabarthi 999. Omotola, who claimed to be an engineer denied knowing anything about the corpse. He claimed to be jobless, adding that he depended on goodwill of people to survive along with Toye. He denied knowledge of the death of his brother. He explained that Akinbuyi was arrested recently by sanitation task force, adding that the deceased spent three days in prison. Omotola also said Akinbuyi was born in 1973 and that he usually went out and came in at will. He told the police that his brother's killers must have committed the act before dumping the deceased inside one of the rooms. He further said their father died in a motor accident recently. Their father, he claimed, was the owner of the duplex where they live. Akinbuyi's corpse was dumped in one of the rooms upstairs. Toye described himself as a primary school teacher. Demdem: Tunde Bakare is a Nigerian Pentecostal pastor. He has received national and international attention for his televangelism, which has sometimes been critical of the Nigerian government. He was in March 2002 reportedly arrested after sermons apparently critical of then-president Olusegun Obasanjo. Dear members of NL ,stop calling this man Bakare a man of God. Is he living by example? Does he have the message of love,peace and unity? He only preach hatred,bitterness and jealousy. Why can't him control his anger over the loss of power.What is paining him most is that he has rubbished his integrity,reputation and face value because of politics. His Hipocrisy is too open and can be easily detected by everyone who hears that he is calling on Nigerians to pray against a particular man. What can he teach his followers that will lead them to Heaven? If I were a member of his church, I'll be so disappointed in him. I come to church to get encouraged and sharpened with the word of God but Sunday after Sunday he feeds me hatred for a government that the bible says i should pray for. He lost an election, he shouldn't be that bitter, 2015 isn't too far even though i wont vote for him then too.He is never a leader,but a bitter man. Has Bakare ever called Nigerians to pray against BOKO HARAM? Do you want to know the power of money? Just put Bakare there you will see that politicians are the same.Once you are a politician truth is your enemy.Bakare is fighting the incumbent leaders,because him and Buhari, who ignite the fire burning in the north now lost to Jonathan during the election they fought do or die. A man of God,doesn't play or get involved into politics.Office and work of Man of God is not in the Aso Rock,but everywhere like going to the north to preach peace and comforting messages to the afflicted and to the ignorance,turning them to the truth and light of God. Honestly,it's high time to show the north that we are totally out and prepared for them. This time,we must wipe them out completely from the surface of Nigerian soil.Enough is enough. They should not be deceived because of they were declared winners last Nigeria and Biafran war.This time those that sabotaged Biafra will never try it again. All the western world that fought for the so called Nigeria, will never ever try to fight for the North again. This time it is Igbos v Hausas and the entire land of Nigeria will surfer the outcome. We know what their leaders are planning with Boko Haram. President Jonathan,be careful ,we the Igbos will not be happy to loose you to the dirty and useless Hausas who used their 38years of reign to loot Nigeria treasury, only to marry uncountable wives and under age girls ,only to give births to Almajiris and dump them in the streets.This Boko Harams, are their product of illiteracy and corruption. The battle line has been drawn. Igbo youth leaders,please, circulate the information any Igbo person outside Nigeria can send money to support you people for the preparation against the Hausas. We should remember that the late Ikemba Ojukwu did it alone before,now let's join hands together and do it perfectly this time.United we stand.
