Family*all Married People Should Read And Imbibe These 10 Secrets by bilms(op): 6:22pm On Jul 04, 2017

Post to all married couple by Saheed Osupa

*TEN (10) GOLDEN SECRETS OF MARRIAGE:*

*TO THOSE WHO ARE MARRIED AND/OR ARE PREPARING TO GET MARRIED SOON*

1. *EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A WEAKNESS*

Only God has no weakness. Every rose flower has its own thorn. If you focus too much on your spouse's weakness, you can't get the best out of his/her strength.

2. *EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A DARK HISTORY*

No one is an Angel, therefore, avoid digging one's past. What matters is the present life of your partner. Old things are passed away. Try to forgive and forget. The past can't be changed. So Focus on the present and the future!

3. *EVERY MARRIAGE HAS IT'S OWN CHALLENGES*

Marriage is not bed of roses. Every shinning marriage has gone through its own test of hot and excruciating fire. True love is proved in time of challenge. Fight for your marriage! Make up your mind to stay with your spouse in time of needs. Remember this is the vow you made on your wedding day!

4. *EVERY MARRIAGE HAS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SUCCESS*

Don't compare your marriage with anyone! We can never be equal, some will be far in front and others far behind. To avoid marriage stresses, be patient, work hard and with time, your marriage dreams shall come true.

5. *TO MARRY IS TO DECLARE A WAR*

When you marry, you must declare a war against enemies of marriage. Some of the enemies of marriage are: Ignorance, Prayerlessness, Unforgiveness, Adultery, Third Party Influence, Stinginess, Stubbornness, Lack Of Love, Rudeness, Wife battery, Laziness, Divorce etc. Be ready to fight to maintain your marriage zone.

6. *THERE IS NO PERFECT MARRIAGE*

There is no ready made marriage anywhere. Marriage is hard work, volunteer yourself and perfect it daily. Marriage is like a CAR with Gear oil, gear box, back hassles and If these parts are not properly maintained, the car will brake down somewhere along the road and expose the occupant to unhealthy circumstances. - Many of us are careless about our marriage... Are you? If you are, pls pay attention to your marriage.

7. *GOD CANNOT GIVE YOU THE COMPLETE PERSON YOU DESIRE*

He (God) gives you, him or her in the form of raw materials in order for you to mould what you desire. You may desire a woman who can pray for 1 hours but your wife can only pray for 30 minutes. With your love, prayer and encouragement, she can improve.

8. *TO MARRY IS TO TAKE A RISK*

You cannot predict what will happen after marriage, as situation may change, so, leave a room for adjustment. Pregnancy may not come in the next 4 years. You may get marry to her because she's slim but she becomes 100% fatter after a child. He may lose his beautiful job for years that you have to take the financial responsibility of the family until he gets a new job. But with God by your side, you will smile at last.

9. *MARRIAGE IS NOT A CONTRACT, IT IS PERMANENT*

Marriage needs total commitment, love is the glue that makes a couple stick together. Divorce starts in the mind. Never think of divorce! Never threaten your spouse with divorce. Choose to remain married! God hates divorce

10. *EVERY MARRIAGE HAS A PRICE TO PAY*

Marriage is like a bank account. It is the money you deposit into your bank account that you can withdrawn. If you don't deposit love, peace and care into your marriage, you are not a candidate of a blissful home. There is no free love in marriage, You cannot love without giving and sacrificing.

May God Give us The Grace And Wisdom To Build A Heaven on Earth Marriage. Curled from my Album #Marriage_Affairs. #kso_cares

For the secessionist agitators.......................Educate yourself before you agitate for secession

Excerpt: Nnamdi Azikwe Interview with New Nigeria in 1975
...........
Again, however, when the 1954 constitution conference started, my good friend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo tabled a motion to the effect that in the new constitution, provision should be made that any state which feels like seceding should do so. I was opposed to it and said ‘no’ and said that once we have a federation, we are indivisible and perpetual. That was when we began to use that expression - ‘The Indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation’ - and that to secede would amount to treason. And so, a debate ensued.
The Secretary of State then was Oliver Littleton, later Lord Chandos and he was very much interested and that was his first time in saying that the people of African descent were people actually debating at a high level. So a full day was given to Chief Awolowo to make his points. He spoke brilliantly as a lawyer. He made his points why secession should be incorporated in the constitution. He cited the case of the Soviet Union which is a federation, and that secession is written there so that any state in the Soviet Union can secede at will.
He also cited the case of Western Australia and eventually he finished his case and was applauded. We adjourned. The next day, I had to reply. I availed myself of the opportunity to, well, demolish the arguments of my friend and I cited the case of United States which based its constitution on that of the Swiss Confederation. That is Switzerland. I pointed out a case, I think, that of Texas versus White, where Mr. Salmon Chase, the Chief Justice laid down the principle - he was really an arbiter - that the union was intended to be perpetual and indivisible and that any attempt to divide the union by secession was treasonable.
The North (NPC) supported Action Group. The question was then: Should we have secession? The Colonial Office came to our rescue. You know, the usual principle of Britain - ‘divide and rule’ (laughs) but this time, it was in our favour. So, the colonial office backed us. Lord Chandos said that on the face of the arguments before him it would be suicidal to incorporate secession in our constitution and that is why we have section 86 in our constitution that if any region or state should secede, then it will be an act of treason and that was what led to this war, because Col. Ojukwu seceded and so violated the constitution.

Primary school children are far better than many adults. Primary school children are mostly innocent children who always speak with sincerity, truthfulness and fear of God. They are not sentimental or concerned by political influence to reason backwardly.

They know criminality is criminality and they do not try to defend one criminal, while calling for the prosecution of another. They want all those who commit crimes be punished without fear or favor, irrespective of position.

I like the primary school child

Nobody is at war with anybody. The fg is simply trying to bring an alleged criminal, who stole billions belonging to Kwara people to justice. Politics is not an excuse to steal and perpetrate criminality. If we are calling on government to ensure justice to Evans the kidnapper, we should all join the call for government to ensure those who kidnapped a whole state don't go free. #SarakiIsWorseKidnapper

Kwara Group hail FG for appealing Saraki’s discharge, insist on re-trial by EFCC

Kwara Must Change receives with great optimism, the news of appeal of Mr Bukola Saraki’s discharge by the Code of Conduct Tribunal. We are very glad over this development and we believe it is the right step to hold Mr Saraki accountable for his numerous atrocities against the people of Kwara State. Saraki cannot escape justice on the basis of politics.

The Federal Government had on Tuesday, filed 11 grounds notice of appeal against the June 14, 2017 judgment of the Code of Conduct Tribunal which acquitted Senate President Bukola Saraki of 18 counts of false asset declaration and other related offenses.

Kwara Must Change reiterates our call that appealing the unreasonable judgement of the CCT is a right thing to do, but it is not enough. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) must take up the challenge of prosecuting the Senate President based on other more graver allegations of criminality that were backed by evidences as revealed by the CCT trial.

It would be recalled that Kwara Must Change had demanded for the re-trial of Mr Saraki after his CCT discharge, arguing that the evidences presented against the Senate President is too valid to be thrown away into the waste bin and we urged the anti graft agency to help Kwara recover all the looted funds, done in connivance with Kwara State government led by the lackey governor Abdulfatai Ahmed, a stooge to Mr Saraki.

We make bold to say that the proper prosecution of Mr Saraki is the only way forward to keep the anti graft war of President Muhammadu Buhari on tract and we commend the FG for making this bold move.

Contrary to popular view, which held that the CCT trial was a waste of time, Kwara Must Change believe the trial has exposed how wicked and cruel Mr Saraki has been. It also exposed how the man who claimed to be serving the people was secretly siphoning the people’s money and converting it into foreign currencies and sending it abroad for personal enjoyment. It is a carefully planned conspiracy to keep Kwara down to their feet for continuous exploitation, but we shall rise up high above their self serving venture. The CCT trial exposed how Saraki was depositing kwara money into his own personal account almost 100 times every day and how Kwara money is being squandered on choice properties all over the country, while the people are groaning in pain and abject poverty. This criminal behavior must not be left unpunished.

We believe the trial by CCT is not enough, since it is merely looking at the asset declaration aspect which is limited in scope, we need a full blown criminal prosecution by EFCC to ensure that Mr Saraki pay for his offenses in full, rather than just the false asset declaration aspect.

We therefore call on the EFCC to swing into action with immediate effect to arraign the Senate President, so he can defend himself in a competent court of law before being sent to prison to serve the term.

Sahara Reporter is a responsible Media Organization
Abdulrazaq O Hamzat

Few days ago while on Channels Television, Senator Dino Melaye who’s recorded audio conversation with Justice Akon Ikpeme, a judge that presided over his tribunal case while discussing bribery to pervert justice was released by Sahara Reporter claimed that the investigative media platform is not a credible media organization.

Melaye made this statement in an effort to discredit the authenticity of the audio release that has indicted him of corruption.

Besides Dino, other corrupt people, like the Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki, who’s shady deals has been repeatedly exposed by Sahara Reporter had also made similar claims in the past, but their claims are further from the truth. Because as far as i know, Sahara Reporter is a responsible media organization in the real sense of it.
For the purpose of clarification, I have never come in contact with Omoyele Showore, Founder of Sahara Reporter in person, but i have encounter him in several capacities while investigating matters and I must confess, he is a professional per excellence.

Before my encounter with Showore’s many acts of professionalism, I have published series of articles on his platform. Sahara reporter’s quest to give voice to the voiceless is very well documented. Particularly among activists, civil society organizations and the student community, Sahara Reporter is light that is keeping hope alive for Nigeria, but for politicians, the platform is dreaded and hated for only one purpose, it exposes corruption. This is the crime politicians can’t forgive.

If you ask, why do you think Sahara Reporter is a responsible media organization? I will respond, because i have seen it in action several times, not by design, but by accident.

Firstly, i met Sahara Reporters on its consistent search for truth, and after getting the truth, they double check through other sources to confirm its authenticity. This is media integrity.
Some while ago, I was with a friend in Abuja. The friend is from one of the North Eastern states and some how, Sahara Reporters had gathered information about an ongoing mission in his home state, so they reached out to him to help confirm the information they had.

My friend, though an activism was surprise that Sahara Reporter in far away USA could have information about an ongoing activity in his home state. He quickly reach out to some people back home to dispatch someone to visit the location of the incident to verify the information and when they got there, behold, the information was confirmed.

It was after confirming from two or more sources before Sahara Reporter published the news.

In another encounter, Showore had gathered that a particular public officer had travel to a certain place via private jet. He called a colleague to verify if indeed, the information was true. The colleague made one or two calls and the information was confirmed. They even got the invoice of the trip. These two encounters proved to me that Sahara Reporter is not just a media organization that report mere news like others; it is a world class investigative platform that investigates issues, gather facts, check their sources and double check before rushing to publish. They may not be 100% perfect, but definitely, they are a credible platform.

While I had no course to doubt any news from Sahara Reporters before my encounter, the encounter with their approach further proved to me that every news item you see on the platform is not out of imagination or sensationalization, but based on facts, backed with evidence (s).

This is why i feel that you can never win Sahara Reporter in any legal tussle.

I can tell you without fear of contradiction that any report you read on Sahara reporter is true, if not 100%, definitely not less than 70% true. If there exist any misinformation in their report, which is possible, its definitely not out of mischief or deliberate distortion, but due to human error.

However, the human error doesn’t make the platform less seminal, neither does he take away the fact that, Sahara Reporter is a world class media platform that is guided by global best practices.

Ethical Journalism Network, a media research group set out 5 core principle of ethical journalism and from my encounter with Sahara Reporter, they have adhere strictly to more than 80% of these core ethics.

Truth and Accuracy
Journalists cannot always guarantee ‘truth’, but getting the facts right is the cardinal principle of journalism. With the encounter I narrated previously; I have no doubt that Sahara Reporters always strive for truth and accuracy.

Independence
Journalists must be independent voices; they should not act, formally or informally, on behalf of special interests whether political, corporate or cultural. This is another area in which Sahara Reporter has an excellent mark. Nobody is a friend or enemy to the organization. They report as it comes, irrespective of whose horse is goad. Those who thought they could compromise the independence of Sahara Reporter found out they could not in a bitter way, hence their denigration of the platform.

Fairness and Impartiality
Most stories have at least two sides. While there is no obligation to present every side in every piece, stories should be balanced and add context. Objectivity is not always possible, and may not always be desirable (in the face for example of brutality or inhumanity), but impartial reporting builds trust and confidence. This is a hall mark of Sahara Reporter

Humanity
Journalists should do no harm. What they publish or broadcast may be hurtful, but they should be aware of the impact of their words and images on the lives of others. Sahara Reporter won’t be found wanting in this area.

Accountability
A sure sign of professional journalism is the ability to hold ourselves accountable. When they commit errors, they must correct them and their expressions of regret must be sincere not cynical. I don’t think I can confidently speak for Sahara Reporter in this regard.

In conclusion, let our corrupt politicians work on themselves, rather than seek to discredit a responsible media platform like Sahara Reporter, which is working tirelessly to ensure the country get to its promise land.

Has Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed Lionel Messi as world's greatest player? I believe so, though arguably.

What do you think?

Apart from at the club level, Ronaldo has something Messi do not have at the country level. This is a plus no one can ignore.

And without any question, Ronaldo has secured his 5th Ballon d’Or to meet up with Leo Messi as joint holder of 5 Ballon d’Or.

Ronaldo had scored his 600th goal for club and country and Madrid become the first team to retain its crown in Champions League, courtesy of Ronaldo's fantastic performance last night.

He his the only player to have scored over 100 Champions league goals. This is no joke.

Overall, it was Ronaldo and Real Madrid’s third Champions League trophy in the past four years, which is also something that has never been accomplished in the modern era of the sport.

Ronaldo is a Champion in England, Champion in Spain and Champion in Portugal. What else does he need to do?

While many had falsely claimed that he was destined to play second fiddle to Messi, Ronaldo disagreed. He maintained several times, "I am the best and i will continue to prove it''. He kept his promise to the amazement of the global audience.

Let even assume 2 of the bus ply challenge 2 unilorin. it can only carry full passengers frm challenge say rushing hrs btw 8am - 12pm n return with low or no passenger. if the driver insist on full passenger to challenge then an approximation of 1.5hrs loading time. in this jet age no reasonable person wl sacrifise such huge tym EVEN if is free transportation. Conversely, rushing hrs from unilorin start say btw 3;30 - 6pm marx. the bus wl equally return 2 unilorin wt low or no passenger otherwise 1.5 loading tym and sacrifise. Same analysis goes for say 2 ply poly via teaching hospital. ok now, 2 frm oja 2 geri alimi wt igs, omo queen, omo edu, and gbogbo ero, yet rushing tym remain ( 7AM - 9AM, 3PM - 6PM MARX).

Historical Excursion: How Ojukwu starved thousands of Biafran children to death

As supporters of Biafra continue to celebrate the success of their stay-at-home directive on May 30 in some states in the Southeast, a publication has surfaced on the internet showing how the former Biafran warlord, the late Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, prevented food aid from getting to thousands of starving Biafran children.

According to Robert Goldstein, the foreign public relations expert Ojukwu contracted to launder Biafra’s image to the outside world, by refusing to allow food aid through the land borders, the Biafran war chief contributed to the death of thousands of starving Biafran children during the three-year Nigerian civil war.

Goldstein wrote: ”It is inconceivable to me that you would stop the feeding of thousands of your countrymen (under auspicies of world organizations such as the International Red Cross, World Council of Churches and many more) via a land corridor which is the only practical way to bring in food to help at this time. It is inconceivable to me that men of good faith would try to twist world opinion in such a manner as to deceive people into believing that the starvation and hunger that is consuming ‘Biafra’ is a plot of Britain, Nigeria and others to commit genocide.

”I cannot in all conscience serve you any longer. Nor can I be a party to suppressing the fact that your starving thousands have the food, medicine and milk available to them…..it can and is ready to be delivered through international organizations to you. Only your constant refusal has stopped its delivery.”
Starving Igbo children during the 1967-70 Nigerian civil war

In his open letter of resignation to Ojukwu, published by Morning Post, Lagos, August 17, 1968, Goldstein stated:

OPEN LETTER OF RESIGNATION TO ODUMEGWU OJUKWU
FROM Robert S. Goldstein
Public Relations Representative of Biafra in the United States
(Published in the Morning Post, Lagos, August 17, 1968)

As your Public Relation’s Representative in the United States, it is my distasteful duty to tender my resignation based on the following points:

POINT 1 – In November of 1967 when we met in Umuahia, you and your Cabinet were very impressive. You told me of the woes of your little Republic, that thousands of people had died, were dying and more were prepared to die for freedom’s sake.

You and your Cabinet told me you believed world opinion would help your cause if you could get your story across.

You expressed the opinion that very few if any people in the United States knew of the plight of the Biafrans.

You asked me to tell the world that Britain had teamed up with Russia in a conspiracy with the Federal Government of Nigeria to murder every Ibo in Biafra. You suggested I use my talents to induce the Press to write about the Biafran side of the war, as at that time all news came out of Lagos.

You will recall I did not take the assignment that day but stayed on several days before deciding to take that job.

To help win the peace

At that time I stated to you and your cabinet that I was taking the assignment making it crystal clear I would try my best to help win the peace not the war.

POINT TWO – I immediately arranged the first world Press conference in Biafra inviting the US Press as well as journalists and television people from England, France, Switzerland, Africa and other parts of the Globe. This was the first news break through. I arranged regular trips into Biafra for the world Press, helped set up stringers, etc., so that your statements and the statements of your Cabinet would be heard.

At that time, I was absolutely positive you were right and your cause was a just one in the best interests of the free world and your countrymen.

POINT THREE – Finally the Republic of Biafra was recognized first by Tanzania, then quickly followed by Gabon, the Ivory Coast and Zambia. Our public relations work was paying off, world opinion was starting to side with us.
Peace talks were arranged at Kampala. I thought that if anyone walked away from the table it would be the Federal Government. But to my dismay it was Biafra that left the Conference. After all the fighting and killing, I knew that peace would not come easy but I could not understand leaving the Peace Conference until the last point was negotiated and the avenue explored.

POINT FOUR – Then urgent telex messages were received from ‘Biafra’ telling of tens of thousands of people starving in the refugee camps, the villages, the bush country – stating if something weren’t done in the next few months over a million women, children and aged would be starved to death. I immediately contacted the Press, urgently petitioned the State Department for action on their part. Food, medicine and milk were sent to the only available ports open for immediate shipment to ‘Biafra’ via land routes through Federal and Biafra territory, under the auspices of world organizations such as the International Red Cross among others.

Then came the incredible answer from ‘Biafra’ that land corridors could not be acceptable until there was a complete ceasefire, and that an airlift was the only solution to feed the starving.

You then appeared before the various Heads of State and representatives of the OAU at Niamey in Niger. I fully expected you to at least accept the world help that was offered your starving throngs. However, you delayed, hoping to use these unfortunates with world sympathy on their side as a tool to further your ambition to achieve war concessions at the upcoming peace talks in Addis Ababa. Thus innocent victims continue to perish needlessly of starvation, the most agonising death that can befall any living creature.

POINT FIVE – This was incredible to me. I am now convinced that I have been used by you and your cabinet to help in military adventures of your origin….using your starving hordes as hostages to negotiate a victory.
If at some later date, following the issuance of this letter, you do concede to allow a mercy land corridor…would you expect me to agree to espouse before the world Press the incredible delay of your decision. What explanation could I honestly give for the needless prolongation of this horror.

Inconceivable acts

I pray this communication may in some small way influence you to move affirmatively, allowing the mercy land corridor to be born.

It is inconceivable to me that you would stop the feeding of thousands of your countrymen (under auspicies of world organizations such as the International Red Cross, World Council of Churches and many more) via a land corridor which is the only practical way to bring in food to help at this time. It is inconceivable to me that men of good faith would try to twist world opinion in such a manner as to deceive people into believing that the starvation and hunger that is consuming ‘Biafra’ is a plot of Britain, Nigeria and others to commit genocide.

POINT SIX – I cannot in all conscience serve you any longer. Nor can I be a party to suppressing the fact that your starving thousands have the food, medicine and milk available to them…..it can and is ready to be delivered through international organizations to you. Only your constant refusal has stopped its delivery.

I am this date, tendering my resignation and am returning to Mr. Collins Obih of the African Continental Bank all the fees you have given me (Letter of Credit No. 354 $400,000 US.)

I have sent your representative in New York a Bond in the amount of 800.000 pounds that I was holding in your behalf. I have also this date, sent the Bond of 200,000 pounds issues by the Central Bankl of Nigeria back to them for disposal.

POINT SEVEN – I am now convinced that one Nigeria is the only solution to peace. I also call upon you Mr. Ojukwu to allow your starving people to be fed. Their well-being is of deep concern to me as well as other right thinking people of the world.

Your acting in the utmost haste in this matter is in my opinion the first step toward any lasting peace in your country.”

Robert S. Goldstein.

MASS TRANSIT SCHEME IS DOOMED TO FAIL IN KWARA
By Abdulrazaq O Hamzat

Between Mr Latin, Babasuwe and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, who is funnier? If you ask me, I will tell you Maigida is a better comedian than the duo. Our most powerless governor is Alawada kerikri of the highest order. Take that from me. The man we call governor, seems to be a joke, a great comedian of the 21st century. But having a comedian governor may not really be a very bad thing if he writes his own jokes by himself, but unfortunately, he doesn’t. He wants to copy everything from Lagos, without having the brain to know when not to copy. If there is anything you should copy from Lagos, copy how to give Local government free hand to manage their resources.

Few days ago, the news of Mai guardi launching a Mass Transhit Scheme reached us on the social space. Our confused gomina said he invested N257million into what he described as Maigida Mass Transit. But if he is a thinking governor, he would have realized that what he simply did was to tell the people how confused and unreasonable he his.

First and foremost, Kwara doesn’t need a Mass Transit. A Mass Transit Scheme is usually for cities with large population and transportation challenges. Kwara doesn’t fall in this category.

People in Kwara can tell you that right inside our houses; taxi’s do come and pick us. Kwara is one of those state in which you can stop a taxi and ask him to wait, while you go back inside to pick up something. Kwara is one of those states you don’t need to rush to get taxi. You can walk as slowly as possible, as if you own the vehicle while trying to board a taxi. In other word, there are more vehicles than passengers in Kwara, particularly in Ilorin.

If you start a conversation with taxi drivers in ilorin, one major point they are likely to make is lack of passengers. They will analyze to you, how they usually work with tactic, just to get little profit, because according to them, you can’t afford to keep driving around wasting fuel.
Many taxi drivers have quit the job due to lack of passengers. Most especially, those paying deliver to the taxi owners. My conversation with a driver some time past exposed me to the fact of the transport business in Kwara.

To now imagine that in the same city where taxi drivers are finding it difficult to survive due to low patronage, the governor is importing idea of mass transit is nothing but a joke. If not, what else could that be?

To make matter worse, the Governor said he invested N257million into buying the Eti Eromi buses, which are 10 in number. He said, ‘’the ten buses currently in the Maigida Soludero Mass Transit Scheme were purchased for the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) through a credit facility provided by the Kwara State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bureau’’

Can you imagine? The governor is buying buses for NURTW who didn’t ask him for buses, neither did they require it. I am sure those transport people will just be laughing their way to the toilet after the governor must have gone. They will be wondering themselves, ‘’which kind confused governor be this?’’

At a time when there is very high youth unemployment rate, one would expect that a thinking governor would have made investment in youth and youth empowerment.

Imagine that the Governor invite 257 youths with interest in Agriculture. Provide them with land for farming, either crop, fishery or live stocks and support them each with N1million loan. In the next 3 years, many of these youths would have paid back their loans, while still maintaining their farm business. In the next 3 years, many of these youths would have employed at least 3 other people to support them in their agric business. And at least, each of these youths would have been taking responsibility in their family, thereby reducing poverty. But what do we get from our confused governor? Awada Mass Transit

Then again, Maigida claimed to have bought 10 buses for N257 million. If you divide the amount by the 10 buses, each bus cost N25.7 million. Haba. Oga mai guardi, Ese rora paro?

Innoson 85 Passenger City Bus (IVM 6105g) cost 24 Million and 60 seater bus cost 12 Million. Maigida Bus is not up to 60 seater, so how will it cost more than a 80 seater bus? And again, the price above is just for 1 bus. If you are buying 10 like Maigida did, the price will go down significantly. And again, the picture of the buses being circulated around doesn't appear to be new buses. Obviously, these are refurbished buses and could never have been bought for such exaggerated amount. It appeared our governor is trying to be clever by half.

In conclusion, the Mass Transit scheme is another failure, added to the numerous failures of the Maigida Administration. This scheme is domed to fail, as the name Abdulfatah Ahmed will enter our book of record as the worst Kwara governor ever.

WHAT DID THE KWARA STATE GOVERNOR DO WITH OVER N66BILLION RECEIVED IN 2016?

The recently released State Viability Index by The Economic Confidential Magazine states that, in 2016 alone, through Federal Government Allocation (FAA), Kwara State Government received Forty Nine Billion, Two Hundred and Twenty Two Million, Five Hundred and Forty Two Thousand and Two Hundred and Eighty Nine Naira (N49, 222,542,289).

The Government also received in tax from hard working Kwarans, a whopping sum of Seventeen Billion, Two Hundred and Fifty Three Million, Eight Hundred and Twenty Nine Thousand and Five Hundred and Fifty Nine Naira (N17,253, 829,559).

In total, Kwara State Government earned Sixty Six Billion, Four Hundred and Seventy Six Million, Three Hundred and Seventy One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty Eight Naira (N66,476,371,848). This is apart from other resources that came into the state, such as the Paris Club Loan and other sharing, especially to the Local Government.

With the huge amount being generated as internally generated revenue, this means that Kwarans are the fifth most paying tax in Nigeria, despite being one of the least paying state in Nigeria. By this, it is expected that the people and their communities will be recording massive developmental strides, but unfortunately, the reverse is the case. Despite earning lesser income than their colleagues in other states, Kwarans are paying more in taxes and despite paying more in taxes, Kwarans are not getting half of what other states are getting.

Those following the Kwara polity may recall that in 2014, i wrote a publication in which i quoted all the earnings of Kwara State workers. In that report, which was based on the pay slip of Kwara Workers, i stated thus, '' that, from level 1 to 15, no one single civil servant in Kwara State earn up to N85,000 salary, no matter their years of service or qualification. Level 15 civil servant in Kwara state earn N84,114.66'' and till date, the situation has not changed.

It is in spite this low income that Kwarans paid higher taxes than most states of the federation.

One must then begin to ask, what has the Kwara State government been doing with all these huge resources?

What did Governor Ahmed do with the over Sixty Six Billion Naira received in 2016?
