MESSAGE TO MY IGBO BROTHERS
Please my fellow igbo brothers and sisters, where is our "second niger bridge"?

Where is our "enugu international airport"?

Where is Ndigbo in nigeria's politics today?

Run up to the 2015 elections, Ndigbo said:

......" we will swim and sink with Jonathan ".......

Please where is Jonathan today?

Jonathan's ship sunk in March 28th and today he's a fisherman in Bayelsa state.

After ensuring that my people have become completely sidelined politically as a result of using his divisive politics of religion and ethnicism, today Ndigbo suddenly finds themselves manacled and relegated to chasing after dead and inconsequential sectional rhetorics like "RADIO BIAFRA" at the expense of sound political brinkmanship.

This is the consequences of follow-follow type of politics.

The type my Ghanaian friend used to call "politics of blind leading the blind"!

It's time for Ndigbo to wake up , recover and rework their lost political machine that once made them a power bloc.

Enough of follow-follow....

Wake up wake up Ndigbo!

Ndigbo tetanu n'ura ooooo!!!

NBC AND RADIO BIAFRA
I find it funny that these guys have made nonsense of our security operations in Nigeria.
If the NBC could not shut down such a simple operation as a pirate radio, it speaks volumes of how incompetent our State Security and Communication Agencies are.
The guy operating radio Biafra is very easy to trace and the guy's methodology shows he is a neophyte in the game. He his the unserious type. He just want to make noise, get fame among his small ethnic people and come into the political stage. Serious Geurilla leaders do not expose themselves carelessly as the guy has done. He has left enough digital trail enough to track him down and get him captured.
The Biafra radio owner post raw pictures on Facebook with enough metadata to get him captured even by a ragtag outfit.. My final advice to NBC, please you guys are misfits, how can you claim to shut down a broadcast operation when the guys operate mobile broadcast operation and they have Facebook, Twitter and youtube account. Why can't Nigeria approach Facebook, Twitter and Youtube to shut down the Radio Biafra account; if the companies refused to do so, threaten to shut them down in Nigeria, they will oblige in less than one week.
People are so daft on the Radio Biafra platform that they provide phone numbers and personal details on the call in sessions, why can't the Nigerian security operatives track these calls and trace the signals to know the locations where they are broadcasting from and build a network of those who call this station. I hope the animal who was born in the Nigeria he called zoo will be more clandestine in his operations next time, you have left enough trails to get you exposed; you are indeed an animal who was born and breed in the zoo of Biafra.
The day Osama Bin Laden decided to go on social media, that was the day he signed his death warrants; there are some terrorist leaders who are yet to be captured by more serious countries because they avoid social media. No serious rebel commander or armed militant group leader would use social media; Facebook, Twitter and Youtube are CIA operations, the day Kanu piss off the US, he is as good as dead.
Calling people to arm, and spewing hate speech against other group is a sure way to get nowhere. If you have a good aspiration for self-determination, avoid anything electronic, go underground; win allies not by painting other ethnic groups as evil; you need more allies than enemies. You cannot win independence for your republic when you go about attacking everyone, you attack Yoruba, attack Ijaw, attack Hausa, attack BBC, attack CNN, attack UN, attack everyone; then how do you hope to go about winning your cause? No country gained independence alone, even the United States had the support of France during her fight for independence from Britain. South Sudan had the support of Uganda and some Western interests. Mind you, gaining a country is not by noise making and propagating hate; it takes years and lots of diplomacy. You only take up arm when there are serious existential threats not by staying in Western society and urging your poor people back home to take up arms against the state.
Nigeria Security apparatti have once again displayed their incompetence; reactionary approach will not take you anywhere. The careless of the Nigerian state security system led to the metamorphosis of Boko Haram from a small marauding group into a monstrous anti-state menace that we now have. I hope we all learn.

A Third Alternative to PDP and APC – By Senator Ben Murray-Bruce

A Third Alternative to PDP and APC – By Senator Ben Murray-Bruce Months after the 2015 elections ended, Nigerian youths are still hung up on those elections. Nowhere is this more obvious than on social media which our youths have turned to a battle ground divided into pro People Democratic Party (PDP) and pro All Progressives Congress (APC) youths. So ingrained is this animosity that each group targets elected officials and party chieftains of the opposing parties and go after them just on the basis of their party affiliation. Things reached a comical stage when a youth attacked me for a tweet on Twitter and hours later was praising a popular youth for his tweet. Unbeknownst to him was the fact that the youth had merely tweeted my exact words but had not credited me with the quote! These shenanigans makes me concerned for our youth. Where they should be getting closer and breaking down barriers, they are holding a candle for politicians who in reality are not as divided as they lead these youths to believe. For instance, Senator Bukola Saraki is the Senate President and Chairman of the National Assembly today. He could not have been elevated to that exalted seat were it not for the votes of senators of the PDP. What does that teach us? It teaches us that all politicians are divided by a common interest which united them when the conditions are right and temporarily divides them when they are wrong. I advise youths not to look at Nigeria from a pro PDP or APC perspective. They should see the country from a pro youth outlook. Their future is greater than a party. Nigerian youths should not believe and act as if the only options available to them are either the PDP or the APC. There is a third alternative. This third alternative is patriotism. I am reminded of the wise words of Mark Twain who defined patriotism as “loyalty to the country always. Loyalty to the government when it deserves it”. Our youths have to imbibe this wisdom from Mark Twain and refrain from saying and tweeting nasty stuff about each other and their religions, regions, tribes and ethnicities. Those who engage in this do not understand that foreigners follow Twitter trends and when our youths are disrespecting each other’s ethnicities and religions, they must realise that foreigners do not see us as Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. They just see us as Nigerians. I therefore advise our youths and indeed all Nigerians to speak of Nigeria in a way that shows the world that we value her. If we put a small price on Nigeria, we should be rest assured that the world will not raise that price. We should not come on social media to abuse one another on partisan grounds. That to me is an abuse of the platform. I am sure Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone and Evan Williams, who founded Twitter, did not found it as a platform where we come to outdo each other in raining insults on those on the opposite political divide from us. Speaking for myself, I am on Twitter to release my ideas for scrutiny and receive ideas of other Twitter users for contemplation, because none of us is as smart as all of us. Our youths need to understand that we are living in an idea age not an insult age. It takes interdependence and interconnection to create the atmosphere that inspires brilliant ideas. Our youths are short circuiting this interconnection when they alienate each other. And I am aghast as to what to say to those elders who come on Twitter and fan the embers of division amongst our youths by retweeting them when they retweet insults and destructive criticism against their political opponents. Even worse is when they praise them by calling them intelligent for engaging in this behaviour. We really need to watch it. Nigerian youths are beginning to define intelligence as the ability to come up with the most sophisticated insult and criticism. We urgently need to redefine intelligence in Nigeria. Mudslinging, cynicism and criticism are not acts of intelligence. Ideas and creativity are. If you are truly intelligent, you won’t be on Twitter lobbing insults on political opponents. Instead you will be tweeting ideas that inspire solutions to Nigeria’s challenges! I want to urge these elders, who I have come to be aware are called Twitter overlords, to remember that true elders plant trees of peace even though they know they may never benefit from the shades of those trees. President Barack Obama, Senator Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton are some of the most criticised political figures in the world, but they do not use social media to react to the criticism they receive. Instead, conscious of the fact that their role is to set good moral standards for the youths, they constantly tweet uplifting and inspiring tweets which have the capacity to unite people. That is what we should do as elders in Nigeria. If we do not do this, we should consider that a time may come when those attack dogs have savaged all our enemies, and having nothing else to savage they may turn on us. This is Ben Murray Bruce and I just want to make common sense.

IS OLAMIDE THE HOTTEST ARTIST IN AFRICA?

Few days ago, I saw a publication on nairaland which described Olamide as the hottest rapper in Nigeria. The hottest rapper here doesn’t necessarily mean the best rapper as that would take eternity to decide. What this means is that, the hottest rapper is the most accepted, most wanted, most relevant in term of making hit songs and the one who is being higly sort after by others. That is our defination of hottest. In the said publication, the writer listed 5 hot rappers in Nigeria and declared Olamide as the hottest. Other rappers listed along with Olamide include Reminisce, Phyno, Ice Prince and M.I Other commentators who disagreed with the writer quickly draw their own list of the 5 hottest rappers. In all the list made, what was constant in every commentators list was that, every one put Olamide on number one spot. I carefully read through all the lists and no one felt the number spot should go to anyone other artist other than the Baddo himself. I have the opinion that, no one can dare dispute the fact that Olamide is the hottest rapper in Nigeria. That is a done deal for the past one year. However, what i feel is that, apart from being the hottest rapper in Nigeria, there is no question as to wheather Olamide is the hottest rapper in Africa or not. If he his the hottest rapper in Nigeria, certainly, he ought to be declared as the hottest rapper in Africa, as Nigeria takes almost 50% of African rap market when it comes to music consumption. But beyond rappers, I doubt if there is any artist in the continent currently as hot as Olamide. The Olamide movement is beyond the rap world, should we combine all genry of music in the continent, its hard to find any artist as hot as shakiti Boko croner. This is a reality, not myth and I will prove it. Last week, as I watch the MTV top 10 hottest tracks around the world, Olamide’s Shakibobo was on number 4, while Korede Bello’s Godwin was on number 5. In almost every radio station across the country, Shakiti Bobo is the number 1 song in demand. The next in line is Korede Bello’s Godwin. Shakitibobo’s video was only released 2 weeks ago and it now has over 2million downloads as at Friday, 10/07/2015. If you still doubt whether Olamide is the hottest artist in Africa or not, check out the consistency of the Baddest guy ever liveth in making hits after hits and the unlimited features he has amass within a very short while. Yesterday, July 12th, 2015, Olamide PREMIERED yet another single, Lagos Boys (prod. Pheelz). This is a certified hit song even before it reaches the radio stations. But 2 days earlier (July 10, 2015) , Pepenazi – Illegal ft. Olamide was released. This was a song people are already waiting for before its release due to its hype by Olamide. Its certain to rock the street. But 2 days before then (July 8, 2015), another song was released by Rayce ft Olamide, its called Renovation. A day before the release of Renovation (July 7, 2015) was the premiere of Darey Art Alade’s Asiko Laiye ft Olamide. On the same day, the VIDEO of For Body by Sunkanmi –ft. Olamide was also released. We must also remember that, Samklef – Living Large ft Olamide, Shaydee and DJ Xclusive was released a day earlier (July 6, 2015) This should tells us that, only in the month of July which is yet to reach half, Olamide has already released or featured in 6 different tracks. With some already certified as hits. I can assure you that Lagos boy and illegal are certified hit songs. That is the definition
of being hot. If you want to disagree that Olamide is the hottest artist in Africa, you must produce another artist whose song is topping all chart and featuring in more songs than Olamide. Even as you read this article, if turn on your radio, I can assure you that Olamide is the track on play. If its not Shakitibobo, then its melo melo. But beyond the songs released this month, Olamide has been hot all through the year. Apart from releasing a joint Album (2Kings) with Phyno in March, Olamide has featured in countless tracks between march till date. He was featured in Skuki’s – Over The Mountain in june, JJC – Motiwa ft. Olamide ,June, KolaSoul – In My Zone ft. Olamide, June, Skales – Ijo Ayo Video ft. Olamide, June, Sunkanmi’s – For Body ft. Olamide /June,VIDEO: Olamide – Melo Melo /June. Those released in May include Victor Velmo’s Follow My Lead ft Olamide – May, VIDEO: Jahbless – 69 Missed Calls Ft. Olamide, Reminisce, Lil kesh, CDQ & Chinko Ekun /May, Video ‘Local Rappers’ By Reminisce, Olamide And Phyno /May, VIDEO: Olamide – Bobo /May. Viktoh – Instagram Police Ft. Olamide & Small Doctor/May, VIDEO: Dr. Sid – Chop Ogbono (Remix) ft. Olamide /May etc. Olamide is just too hot to have rival at the moment. In my view, there is no other artist in the whole of Africa that is as hot as Olamide at the moment. Although, I hav not been to other countries, but the consistency of Olamide on top is of no rival. Is it about the quantity, or the quality? In both situation, Olamide is best. In term of producing hits after hits, Olamide is of no rival. Let me conclude by saying that, if there another artist hotter than Olamide in the continent at the moment, that artist must be an angel.

For me, I wish Olamide well in his hussle.

IslamWhy Muslims Must Lead War Against Terrorism by bilms(op): 8:00am On Jul 09, 2015
WHY MUSLIMS MUST LEAD WAR AGAINST TERRORISM
Terrorists are evil. Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) described them as the worst of creation. Muslims on the other hand are enjoyed to fight evil, we must be at the fore-front of the war against evil terrorism.
A study of the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad also demonstrates that he warned us of the rise of religious extremism in this age in astonishing detail.
1,400 years ago, the prophet of Allah prophesized that a time would come when nothing would remain of Islam but its name, nothing of the Quran but its word, and that many "Mosques would be splendidly furnished but destitute of guidance" (Mishkatul Masabih). In these latter days, the true spiritual essence of Islam would be lost, and religion, for the most part, would be reduced to a ritualistic compulsion. He foretold that the clergy would be corrupt and be a source of strife during these times.
How true this is of the extremist clerics in parts of the Muslim world that abuse the pulpit to preach division and hate.
The noble prophet also went on to describe terrorist groups such as Boko Haram, ISIS that would try to hijack the Islamic faith. At this time of dissension, he said there would appear "a group of young people who would be immature in thought and foolish." They would speak beautiful words but commit the most heinous of deeds. They would engage in so much prayer and fasting that the worship of the Muslims would appear insignificant in comparison. They would call people to the Quran but would have nothing to do with it in reality. The Quran would not go beyond their throats, meaning they wouldn't understand its essence at all, merely regurgitating it selectively. The Prophet then went on to describe these people as "the worst of the creation."
As if this outline wasn't clear enough, another tradition in the book Kitaab Al Fitan reported by Caliph Ali, the fourth successor to Prophet Muhammad, describes these people as having long hair and bearing black flags. Their "hearts will be hard as iron," and they would be the companions of a State (Ashab ul Dawla). Interestingly, ISIS with Boko Haram now refer to itself as the Islamic State or Dawla. The tradition further mentions that they will break their covenants, not speak the truth and have names that mention their cities. The ISIS caliph, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, comes to mind.
Prophet Muhammad furiously and painfully described these evildoers, and admonished Muslims to beware of their evil and fight it. "Whoever fights them is better to Allah than them," he proclaimed.
Reflect on this critical point. Whenever ISIS kills in the name of Islam, Whenever Boko Haram or Alqaeda kills in the name of Allah, claims to follow the Quran, or uses the Holy month of Ramadan to spread anarchy across the globe, know that Prophet Muhammad explicitly warned us of these imposters, and entrusted us to root them out.
The only people who refuse to reflect on this point are the terrorist, their sympathizers and anti-Islam extremists who want the world to believe that ISIS and other terrorist groups are legitimate. Intelligent people, meanwhile, see Prophet Muhammad's prophetic wisdom and thus remain united against both ignorance and extremism.

STOP CALLING TERRORIST GROUP BY ANY RELIGIOUS NAME, CALL THEM THE ERADICATORS- EGYPT FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER TO JOURNALIST.
Over the weekend, the Egyptian foreign ministry issued a guide to foreign journalists, asking them to reconsider how they refer to certain groups that carry out terror attacks in the country. Alex Ortiz, a producer for CBS News based in Cairo, tweeted one page of the memo that caught his eye:

The memo appears to be designed to stop foreign news media describing terror attacks in a way that shows any link to Islam – a line of reasoning many others follow around the world. For example, critics have long suggested that the referring to the extremist group based in Syria and Iraq as the "Islamic State" defers on them a religious legitimacy that they don't deserve. This is a mainstream, global debate: Just late last month, British Prime Minister David Cameron asked the BBC to stop referring to the group as the "Islamic State" (the BBC refused).

However, the local context of Egypt's suggestion has some journalists worried. The memo was handed out at a news conference on Saturday, just a few days after a wave of Islamic State-linked attacks in Sinai that left an unclear number of Egyptian soldiers dead.

According to CNN's Sarah Sirgany, the Egyptian foreign ministry used the press conference to pass on "observations" of the foreign ministry's coverage of the Sinai attacks. One clear issue appears to have been the death toll, with the military saying that at least 17 soldiers had died, while the international press, including The Washington Post, reporting numbers as high as 70.

A newly drafted anti-terrorism law, drawn up after the Sinai attacks and awaiting the approval of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi, may actually make reporting figures that contradict official statements a crime if "intent" or "malice" can be proven. The law stipulates a minimum two-year sentence for the crime.

To critics, the law and the memo are examples of how restrictive it's becoming to report objectively in Egypt. “We are faced with an article that pushes the media towards Goebbels’ media – the media of one opinion and one narrative,” Gamal Eid, the executive director of the Arab Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI), told the Guardian. “It is against the freedom of press, especially press that is critical and professional.”

ON SARAKI’S STEALING IN 1990, QUESTIONS NEEDING ANSWERS.
Few days ago, a document containing charges of criminal investigation against Senator Bukola Saraki by the Nigerian police as far back as 1990 was released to the public.
According to the document, the the Inspector general of Police specifically asked for a thorough investigation into the matter as a similar complain had earlier been made against Saraki’s father, Olusola saraki.
The police document which indicate that, Saraki, who is now the senate president was accused of stealing about N510,000 from society general bank, a bank co-owned by his father.
After the investigation, Saraki was charged along with 4 others including his sister, Gbemi Saraki for fraud, fogery, stealing and conspiracy and were charged and to appear in court on 10/12/1990.
The document noted that, Saraki’s father, Olusola Saraki had earlier unlawfully withdraw N10million from the bank, and with the new N510,000 theft by his son, Olubukola Saraki, the bank is heading for untold liquidation.
As noted in the investigation, Society general bank eventually liquidated with thousand of customers losing their money, while Saraki and others charged for stealing the funds were set free.
As much as I would love to comment on this issue, I think we would be unfair to Saraki if we jump at the issue without asking relevant questions.
While I may agree that, a suspect shouldn’t be trusted yet until proven innocent, he still remain innocent until proven guilty.
In view of this, I would like to ask the following question from the police or others who may be involved in the saga.
1. After Saraki was charged to court on 10/12/1990 as stated by the document, was he declared innocent or guilty by the court?
2. If he was declared guilty, what punishment was given to him and did he served the term?
3. If he was declared innocent, where is the court judgement?
4. If none of the above two happened, we need to know, was the case not completed, if yes, why?
5. If it was not completed, why did the police not bring out this document all this years while Saraki, a criminal suspect continue to engage in public service till this moment when he had several other charges against him with EFCC?

Before I comment further on this issue, I need to ascertain some of these facts to ensure we are doing justice to Saraki.

As much as I am against the emergence of Saraki as the senate president, we must not be blinded by hate, we must be fair and justice.

Although, I am aware that with money, all things are possible in Nigeria. I am also aware that Saraki may have bribed his way out of the case, but no matter what happened, we need to know the status of the case in that law court since it was clearly charged to court.

The status of the case in the court that tried them back then would help us a lot. We must do justice, even to our enemy.

TOPIC: BEFORE YOU BECOME AN EXTREMIST
Author: Abdulrazaq O Hamzat

Prophet Muhammed said: (Avoid extremes in your religion: those before
you perished because they were extreme )- Nesa’ee, Ibn Majja & Ahmad

The Prophet also added that, (Those who are extreme and too strict in
their words and deeds will fail and perish) – Muslim.

Muslims should be just and moderate, as there is no room for extremism in Islam.
Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) warned Muslims against becoming
extremist in every thing they do.

The guided prophet warned that, Muslims shouldn’t be extremist in
religious, social or cultural affairs. In fact, he warned against
extremism in whatever engagements or practice.

The best among Muslims are those who are moderate in all they do.

Moderation means to follow a just right way avoiding extremes in our
life, therefore we are not extravagant nor misers, and are not
excessive in our worship but safeguard our prayers, fasting and
charity; we are not harsh or soft; we do not ask of ourselves or
others beyond what we are capable of. – BS Foad

The noble prophet maintained that, extremist will never accomplish
their mission, they will perish with their extremism.

Ibn Abbas related that Allah’s messenger (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
(Avoid extremes in your religion: those before you perished because
they were extreme )- Nesa’ee, Ibn Majja & Ahmad

Again, Ibn Masoud related that Allah’s messenger ( PBUH ) said :
(Those who are extreme and too strict in their words and deeds will
fail and perish) – Muslim

This brings us to the question, why do some people follow extreme
measures or become so strict?

According to findings, there are many factors responsible for
extremism, some of those identified by BS Foad (2007) in his article
titled moderation in Islam include:

•Lack of proper knowledge and understanding, and in their zeal they
believe they are doing the right thing.

•Not willing to listen to opposing points of view
•Poverty, lack of work and despair
•Oppression and no freedom to speak or express themselves

If the above and many more are factors responsible for extremism, we
must device means to moderate their extreme view through constant
engagement with textual facts. However, It should be noted that,
putting them in jail does not help nuetralize their extremism, that is
more like runnng away from the problem, for it only reinforces their
hatred and determination to strike back. But on a temporal means, it
helps to take them away from the larger society. Government must
therefore put in more efforts in providing platforms for true
knowledge to be shared to neutralize extreme ideas that is capable of
leading to something more.

Oppression causes their wrong thinking to get more extreme like a boil
that festers.
The only way is to contrast their wrong ideas to the truth and
Improving economic conditions.

Also, We should be willing to listen to opposing points of view, as no
one knows everything or is correct all the time. We should learn from
different prospective, as there is more than one correct way to the
truth. Arrogance leads to error, while humility leads to guidance and
righteousness. BS Foad.

I recall that last month, during the wedding ceremony of Edo State
Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole. The then president elect, now
President of the federal republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari
exchange hand shake with the bride of the governor, just as every
world leader after a successful discussion or programmes do greet
their friendly partner.

A young Muslim brother, who himself was pictured in different club
house abroad, holding, pecking and dancing with women started a trend
online, condemning president Buhari for exchanging hand shake with
Oshiomole’s bride, saying exchanging hand shake with opposite sex was
unislmaic.

While such opinion is indeed partially factual and genuine and shared
by some sections of the Muslim scholars, majority of scholars gave
conditions that may permit one to shake opposite sex and President
Buhari clearly falls within that condition.

As usual, the bandwagon effect took place, as many Muslims that seems
to be either ignorant of the matter or share the extreme view argument
jump into the discuss, condemning President Buhari and bullying many
others who didn’t know much about the subject into submission.

Anyone that shared another view get attacked, ridiculed, insulted,
abused and some times threatened. Some were called so many unprintable
names for doing nothing, other than expressing their view about an
issue that concerns them and their religion.

In an effort to shed light on the subject matter, especially to the
teeming uninformed public, bringing fourth all views as expressed by
numerous scholars, I wrote an article titled, Buhari is free to shake
opposite sex if need be. The article clearly outline the points raised
by all sides and their proves. And from all arguments by the respected
scholars as presented in the article, I supported the arguement I
considered to be more moderate, more logical, more convincing and more
substantiated.

After the publication, a lot of people were clearly exposed to all
facts of the subject. Many Muslims that were initially confused about
the issue were well educated. Some respected friends in Islam also
shared their view, probing me further on some points raised and at the
end, most agreed with me, while others disagree based on their own
understanding.

Some of those that had not decided on which of the argument to agree
with also have a more broader perspective to tap from, and some none
Muslims interested in the discuss also gained from that presentation.
We are all still learning.

But as usual, there are some few elements that always feel the
extreme, disputed and none substantiated view should reign supreme.
They try, through what ever means to bully others into silence. They
claim to know all, claim to be more pious, sometimes claiming to be
the true believers, while every other person who didn’t share their
extreme view has compromise.

While they publicly proclaim those extreme views to cause confusion
and division among the Muslim Ummah, in their daily lives, they act
otherwise, doing in secret, what they publicly condemned and are ready
to crucify others for.

For example, while former Governor of Zamfara State, Sani Yerima
introduced a self guided political Shariah to trail the poor citizens
wrongly, he himself was charged with massive corruption after his
tenure and he was never trialed by the same political shariah. This
tells us that, he knows what he introduced in that state was not
Shariah as guided by Islam, but many poor citizens had to suffer from
his political shariah.

As a result of my publication, I received a lot of friendly messages
from those that were inspired and educated by the article, I equally
received insult and threats, from those with extreme views,
threatening to do all sort should I not be silent. But by Allah, I
fear no threat, I cannot be silent, neither will I ever stop spreading
the true message of Islam as I understood.

Prophet of Allah urge Muslims to Make things easy, not difficult.

Abi Musa related that Allah’s messenger ( Peace Be Upon Him ) said:
(Give glad tidings, and do not make others hate you or run away from
you; and make things easy and not difficult) Bokhari & Muslim

The prophet also advised Muslims to avoid extremes in worship.
Abdullah Bin Amrou Bin A’as said: Allah’s messenger told me : ( I was
told that you pray all night and you fast by day ) I said: Yes o
messenger of Allah. He said: ( Do not do that, fast but not every day;
pray at night but not all night: for your body has rights over you,
and your eyes have rights over you, and your wife has rights over you,
and your visitor has rights over you. IT is enough to fast three days
each month, for a good deed is rewarded ten times, therefore this way
you are considered fasting all the time ) Bokhari & Muslim

It is important to note that, Muslims are not expected to be moderate
only in religion, we are expected to be moderate in spending“ Make not
your hand tied to your neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach,
so that you become blameworthy and destitute “ Al-Isra’a 17 : 29

Moderate in the ways of living,“Those who, when they spend, are not
extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just balance between these
two extremes“Al-Furqan 25 : 67
The religion of Islam is not supposed to be difficult or strict, as
Abou Horaira related that Allah’s messenger ( PBUH ) said: (This
religion is one of ease and not restrictions; no one tries to make it
strict or difficult on others, but will be overcome; therefore do what
is right, and do what you are capable of, and be happy, and seek help
in prayers ) Bokhari

Finally, Prophet Muhammed advice Muslims to avoid extremes and seek
help in prayers. Aesha related that Allah’s messenger ( PBUH ) said:
(None of you will be saved by his deeds alone ). He was asked : Not
even you O messenger of Allah ? He said: ( Not even me unless Allah’s
mercy encompass me: therefore do what is right, and do what you are
capable of, and seek help in prayers, and be sincere in your
intentions) Bokhari.

In conclusion, as we seek Allah’s mercy in this holy month of ramadan,
I therefore urge all Muslim brothers and sisters to seek true
knowledge of Islam, be open to opposing views and avoid extreme in
your religion and every other engagement whatsoever.

As prophet Muhammed said, avoid extremes in your religion: those
before you perished because they were extreme.

He also added that, Those who are extreme and too strict in their
words and deeds will fail and perish.

Have a wonderful day. Salam.

5 THINGS NIGERIAN GOVT MUST MAKE ITS PRIORITY
The purpose of government is to help people live better. In the quest of governments to deliver the much needed good governance, they sometimes embark on all sorts of projects to better the out look of the society.

In the course of some of these projects, government often victimize, DE-humanize and sometimes out rightly destroy people lives, families and means of livelihood. They call it collateral damage.

There are just too many examples of such instances in Abuja during era of Mallam Nasiru Elrufai as Fct minister. In Lagos, during Fashola’s tenure and many others.

In their justification of such engagements, they argue that, nothing good comes easy. If we want something good, we must be willing to pay the price. To them, the affected citizens whose life have been completely destroyed as a result of such projects are the prices we must pay to build a better society.

For me, destroying other peoples live is not a way to development. While it is true that, the cleared area would be free, clean and ready for modern construction and beautification, it can never bring about the required development. Yes, the few rich may live more comfortably, but vast majority of the other citizens would have been living abject poverty much more than how they were living before the so called reconstruction.

Therefore, here are 5 major issues of priority every government must handle with utmost seriousness as identified by UNDP (1996).. Any government that failed in prioritizing these 5 things, cannot be regarded as a good government.

1. PROVISION OF CLEAN PORTABLE WATER
A Somalian elder was quoted as saying that “all development activities are about human beings. For any serious government, the first priority of government must be the provision of clean and portable water for all. The first human need is water. It is the first thing needed to live. Without it, a plant, an animal or a baby dies.

2. ADEQUATE FOOD PROVISION
The second most important priority of any government must be the adequate provision of food to all citizens. It doesn’t matter how government will ensure all citizens are well feed, what is important is that, government they must ensure no citizens go hungry. Without enough of food, life is miserable and short. If humans couldn’t feed, they can do anything to change their situation. They can kill and are sometimes ready to be killed. A yoruba proverb have it that, Ona ofun, ni ona orun, meaning that, the road to the through, is the road to heaven. As anyone who provide you food is more like your god. People can do anything to have food security.

3. FUNCTIONAL, WELL EQUIPPED AND ACCESSIBLE HEALTH FACILITIES
The third most important priority of any serious government should the provision of a functional, well equipped and accessible health facility. This is so because, once water and food are won, human being becomes sick. People want to have confidence in their health centers to provide adequate health services. Government should make every effort to put its medical centers in proper shape for the benefits of its citizens. When citizens have the above 3 issues properly handled, there shall be less crime, less crisis, less instability, more productivity, more efficiency, more citizens engagement and the country will move closer to development.
Development is not in the structures we built, but rather, in the citizens we made.

4. PROVISION OF QUALITY EDUCATION
Quality Education is the fourth most important priority of any serious government. Once a human being has water, food and health, he needs to learn new horizons and unlock new possibilities. We must understand that, talking about quality education besides a hungry man is a waste. Also, no sick person can benefit from quality education. Quality education can only be meaningful to those living fine in good health.
A situation where government increase tuition fee beyond the reach of its own workers children under the guise of improved quality education is a waste. I have asked many times, what is the essence of quality education when the children of the poor can’t access it? If Government can only afford to pay its workers N18 minimum wage, yet charges N200,000 as tuition fee in government owned institution. How can children of the same government attend that government school? We must provide reasonable quality education without denying children of the poor of its benefits.

5. PEACE
And finally, if we can protect the 4 points mentioned above, the fifth which is the most important would have room to floor. We must guarantee peace and order. Citizens should live in a peaceful country devoid of fear of attacks either from armed robbers, kidnappers, gunmen, terrorists or even their own government.

These are what Nigerian citizens are asking for from our government.
If this can be assured, I can guarantee you that development would naturally flow Into this country and the empty, unsustainable structures our government is destroying peoples live to build would ordinarily make way for genuine and sustainable structures that would be built by the citizens.
