Religion / Re: This Is The Reason Why Gospel Artiste - Sinach Is So Big by Bilyonaire: 7:31am On Mar 25, 2019
Hmm... With the exception of Sinach, how many songs are bigger than Frank Edward's Oghene Doh? I don't mean views on YouTube but rather global appeal. Besides, this thread wasn't an attempt at determining who's the "biggest" Gospel artist but rather what has been behind Sinach's great success so I'm not even sure you're approaching the discussion from the intended point of view.
I'm not a Nigerian and have no understanding of any of your indigenous languages and yet I'd still personally prefer Tope Alabi to Hillsong or even Jesus Culture. That alone should be proof that the language one sings in isn't the single determining variable of success.

What goes around comes around I guess.
Ambode should be careful at this point. They can impeach him at anytime now if he does anyhow.

Sir, I'm still awaiting your reply on some questions I asked you on a previous thread about Jubril from CU.

Politics / Re: NASS Salary: How True Are These Figures? by Bilyonaire: 4:27pm On Mar 22, 2019
Hmm... Changing that might be hard. The truth is, senators are elected officials and as such; Nigerians have have already consented to them earning whatever copious amounts of money the treasury might decide.
What's sad is when people speak up against the current regime they're called bigots or told to "focus on their churches..."
The recent electionis proof of this. Jesus said that two blind men would lead each other into a ditch but it appears people in this country walk there willingly.

that's it, it's all packaging as those in the world would call it. she packaged herself very well. she knew what she wanted, and she was packaged well to achieve it. lemme just stop heresmiley

I think there's more to it than mere packaging sir but I can see that you were perhaps trying to propagate a self help/self actualization sort of vibe which you are entitled to. There are many Gospel artists who might have had better packaging, marketing or self belief but have still not attained the same heights as her.

Hmm... 100% sure, did you hear her say so? If not then I don't think it makes sense for you to bring up that number with such certainty. I've heard Sinach talk many times (both on stage and in an interview) and she credited Pastor Chris' teaching for her success. Same as the other BLW artists I mentioned.

Amen, sir. Though I don't think that her success has anything to do with the language she sings in. Frank Edwards sings in Igbo and he's a respected international act. You also have Tope Alabi who almost exclusively sings in Yoruba and has found great success. The secret isn't merely in language but it's in the Word. Sinach, Ada, Frank Edwards, Martin PK etc will tell you just as much.... That combined with hardwork can make a success out of anyone.

Hmm... What makes the PDP think that the same broken system that robbed them of power the first time will all of a sudden become upright and give a fair result now?
I just don't get it.

Do I? Well I schooled in canaanland. Lived there for four years. Was a severe critic of Oyedepo's type of Pentecostalism. So I was more attentive than the average student.

Yes sir; you do. Although, I'm pretty sure you already knew that without my saying so. I have a few questions for you, if you don't mind...

1. What changed your mind about the Bishop?

2. What issues did you have with his 'brand of Pentecostalism'?

3. Why did you leave Canaanland?

Not that I think you're lying but the sort of knowledge you seem to possess about this man seems to run deeper than that of a mere student with prying eyes... Am I wrong?

When life is void of miracles it becomes a bunch of struggles.
Only miracles can terminate struggles.
We do not wait for miracles, we provoke them to happen with our faith.

@HigherEd, how do you know so much about Oyedepo?

PS: I wonder if the myriads clapping for him today will be there for him once the reality of life hits him tomorrow...
