Simply do this.

Insert your modem
Go to settings
Select MTN Nigeria 3G
Click on the Network Settings tab
Change from 'Automatic' to 'Manual', click Apply
Allow it scan for networks.
Select MTN 3G from the list after scanning
Restart your mtn connection. . It should be stable now.

Works for me. . Hope it does for you

I noticed anytime i set it to 'Automatic', once the UMTS signal appears. . The modem disconnects automaticall
