Yesterday July 1st, the Kwara State Police Command discovered an uncompleted building said to be a ritualist den along Airport road in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

Speaking on the discovery, the Police Commissioner, Ambrose Aisabor said the place is believed to have been a human parts market were people who are involved in ritual activities go to purchase human parts.

“When you get there you would see particles of human parts scattered so we believe that place has been a human parts market where people who are involved in rituals and ritual activities go to purchase human parts” he said.

The bomb explosion yesterday evening in Kaduna targeted Islamic Cleric, Sheik Bauchi, two person confirmed injured as the bomb exploded near the home of Sheik Dahiru Bauchi, a prominent Nigerian Islamic scholar of the Tijjaniya sect. A military officer confirmed the development.

The officer stated that security operatives in uniform and plain clothes were working hard to uncover the culprits behind the act.

In an interview with Mohammed Ibrahim, a member of Tijjaniya, stated that the bomb must have been targeted at their leader, Sheik Bauchi, whose Kaduna home is close to the scene of the explosion.

Speaking through an interpreter, the source stated that the explosion was certainly from a bomb. He added that two people were injured and rushed to a hospital. “There is a likelihood that it was targeted at our leader, Sheik Dahiru Bauchi and the entourage,” he said. Mr. Ibrahim added: “We are volunteers and know what we are saying. “Many of us pass through [the area of the explosion] daily with our leader. Today it happened after we had returned from our mosque in Tudun Wada.” He urged the government to provide adequate security.

Our military source said Governor Mukhtar Yero had been in touch with heads of security agencies in the state and had been briefed on the explosion.

Elton John has said he believes Jesus would be fine with gay marriage if he were alive today. The veteran singer, who plans to marry his civil partner David Furnish next year in a “very quiet” ceremony, told Sky News that in his view, Jesus would accept it because he was “all about love and compassion”.

He claimed that rules preventing gay priests from marrying and requiring Catholic priests to be celibate were “old and stupid”.

“If Jesus was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen, ” he told Sky News.

“He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together and that is what the church should be about.”

He praised Pope Francis for making the Catholic Church more about “inclusiveness”, saying that this “has to be encouraged by the Church of England as well”.

He described the pontiff as a “wonderful” man whose tolerance was an example to the Church.

“The new Pope has been wonderful, he’s excited me so much,” Sir Elton said.

“He’s stripped it [the Church] down to the bare bones and said it’s all basically about love.”

Sir Elton previously courted controversy on the subject in 2010 when he declared that Jesus was gay, telling a magazine: “I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems.”
