Wait a minute..
Is Nigeria being referred by the Chinese as Africa? Anyway, this new collaboration thing sounds appealing. God will help us. God bless Nigeria. God bless all of us. |
Poliss:What a silly question. Would your knowledge of where she was returning from justify the rape? |
Ladywilyms:I did not apply. I hope to apply next year, God willing. I would love to apply for MB;BS. What I'm not sure is whether they would accept 2 WAEC sittings...plus a 2-1 B. Sc result. Thanks. Didi you apply? Were you admitted? |
Hello All, I dey greet o.. Thanks to the hands that brought this thread to existence. I need info for Direct Entry, MBBS, Uniuyo..or any school within that region. . I'm also getting the 2015/2016 JAMB form..so, I guess it's going to be a long walk.. Thanks all.. |
Hello, please I need info on Direct Entry in Uniuyo for 2015/2016 session... Thanks.. |
I'll check... |
dranniee: Thanks, still expecting mine as well, have you gotten your final notice of acceptance yet, I am still awaiting mine.No o.. I think it's after the visa is out. I've paid the Seat Deposit, I'm awaiting the visa so that I can complete the other payment. I'm happy that the resumption date isn't September o.. I'm tied down by NYSC for now. I would be done by October 16th.. God willing.. |
dranniee: Hello,I also got admitted for this September batch too,I really don't know so much about it but a friend in Dominica recommended it to me..Wow! Congrats then. I don't know the resumption date yet.. I'm still expecting my visa. How about you? |

The Boko Haram would soon run out of time... |
lillaowow: OYO!!!Hello, How do you mean please? Could you please provide me with facts? What I have read is satisfactory, so far.. Share any fact you know please as this would help me (and any other Nairalander considering Texila) in making our decisions. Thanks. |
Originalsly: Read carefully what they are saying on their website....like they listed by I think WHO a a medical school....but then there is a way to get listed...and this gives the impression that WHO and others would accept their certifications. As I understand it...from their website...is that they prepare students to take exams to enter recognized institutions. If you need to pursue anything in medicine do so in Trinidad/Jamaica or thru an off shore US university in the West Indies....just not Guyana. Contact Frank94...he has written extensively on that in this forum under threads about Trinidad.Again, thanks. I shall research further. Also, I shall contact Frank94 immediately. Some of my questions, though, are still pending... Big, big thanks... |
dd25251, thank you for this thread. I shall take my time and study through it. God willing, I would be travelling to Guyana soon. I've just been admitted into Texila's 4 years MD program. To all: Kindly share all you know about the school. With a B. Sc in Human Anatomy, how easily can I access a job? How about the cost of living (accommodation, feeding, transport, communication, etc) per year? Kindly educate me please.. Thanks.. |
I have a B. Sc degree in Human Anatomy. What kind of job can I get with this? |
Originalsly: Lived there a while...have several contacts there. Basically Nigeria on a smaller scale. Currency ...Guyana dollar...US$1= G$200(average). Registered Nurse...trained...G60 000 per month...do the math! Rent...$20 000 per month for small decent place ...even smaller in the heart of the city..if luck smiles on you! Jobs...part time jobs...just like Lagos.....scarce ...but....doesn't matter the level of work or pay....payday is payday! More importantly....do you really know about the school that accepted you? ....and if their certificate/degree is recognised more than one you can print at home? Look well before you leap. Thanks Originalsy. I'm really banking on job opportunities and scholarship offers (I read of a couple). I've done my research on Texila and I'm convinced that they are legit (judging from a naive mind that relies only on information gotten from the internet). However, if you feel you have any information that may be of help as regards their authenticity, kindly share please.. What I know is that they are recognised by the WHO, also, that graduates from the school are allowed to practice in the USA. Thanks for your time, thanks.. Just to add: Would it be too much if I should ask for the contact of any Nigerian you know that is there? |
I've been admitted into the above mentioned school to study Medicine. Are there Nairalanders there? Please if you know anything about the school, kindly educate me. The school is at Guyana, Caribbean Island, South America. |
Hello, good morning. I've just been admitted to study Medicine at the Texila American University, Guyana. Please, do we have any Nairalander there? What's life like at Guyana? Most importantly, how's the cost of living there? Thanks.. |
