Superb goal from Chamakh which is y ive belived the cat is underused Use a proper winger and He will score goals
His aerial ability is maximally underutilised in arsenal |

Wenger laments the missing voice! By Myles Palmer
On Thursday morning I saw Wenger on TV
I've been thinking about what he said.
I didn't really need to think about it. I knew straight away what I thought.
But I decided to chew it over for two days.
I decided to sleep on the match and then sleep on the great man's remarks
On balance, as far as I can see, Sky Sports News is doing Wenger no favours by broadcasting his apologies.
Mike Wedderburn said, "Arsene Wenger publicly criticised his defence after they conceded a late equaliser.”
And then Wenger said, " Nobody looks from the outside to take really charge of the organisation side. There’s no voice when the organisation drops a little bit, you don’t feel that anybody takes charge on alertness. We need to communicate much better than that. The way we conceded this corner is, of course, very disappointing."
He's talking about an Arsenal shambles as if it's nothing to do with him !
Read those words and weep, Gooners :
"Nobody looks from the outside to take really charge of the organisation side. There’s no voice when the organisation drops a little bit, you don’t feel that anybody takes charge on alertness. We need to communicate much better than that. The way we conceded this corner is, of course, very disappointing"
Arsene, you don’t teach defence ! You only do half your job. You take £6 million a year but you only do half your job !You don’t allow your players to shout at each other. You’re the sole author of that failure. Every player was signed and trained by you. Squillaci was an experienced defender signed by you. Koscielny is a centreback you lined up a year in advance. But your team of clowns can’t even hold onto a 2-1 against 10 men.
Without Arshavin to score one goal and make a second, you could easily have got stuffed 4-0.
You preside over a carnival of incompetence and then you stand there and tell Arsenal fans that there is no voice organising at the back.
THERE IS NO VOICE ORGANISING AT THE BACK ?
Arsenal today is exacly Exactly EXACTLY what you alone have made it : a nice team that plays fluent football and scores goals but can't win a trophy because they don’t have the bottle or organisation to defend a lead and close a game out.
Your teams will always have the same faults.
If you insist on one-man show, if you insist on taking all the credit, you have to take all the blame as well.
Wigan was you. Wigan was you when you lost 3-2 there in April. That is you in the pitch, your choices, your decisions, your training methods, your culture. The Arsenal team is you.
ANR readers, please, please spare me your angst.
Whatever you do, don’t expect me to comment in detail on Wigan 2 Arsenal 2.
It’s beyond me.
Eight changes from Monday night’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea and switch to 4-4-2 ? When you’ve been playing 4-3-3 all season?
If you want to follow a good performance with a bad performance, this is the template.
It’s so bizarre. It's beyond me. I can’t explain it.
Prediction for 2011 : Wenger will be on your TV and he'll say, "I'm very disappointed that we conceded from a set-piece. We still can't defend a corner. I think the team is maturing but we need an organiser at the back." http://www.arsenalnewsreview.co.uk/news/1884/30/Wenger-laments-the-missing-voice/We did not deserve a point I am sorry for the attack though they were let down by the defence At this form 1-1-3 we may not even be hustling with the kop and the sp*rs but Stoke and other mid tablers Even stoke is showing champions league form (Martin Samuel) |

and so? we know he has no football brain
just give him the ball and he would shoot
But seriusly dont you guys get tired, Even Fergie could not poke fun at Wengie at Old Trafford after the third goal. He stopped celebrating |

krayola, true dat but what it means is that we have poor defensive organisation and even if rio-vidic plays for us, they will concede
We conceded the most goals % from the set pieces and this has been consitent for the last 4-5 years We stand off the ball, dont attack set pieces and all which is the still the same old same old |

1406: So Arsenal, despite domininating for most of this match, are behind. Same old defensive problems, I'm afraid. Can they respond? Nearly. Robin van Persie is quickest to a corner and sends a glancing header wide of the near post. bbc |

34% - Theo Walcott's dribble success in the 2009-10 PL, the only Arsenal player with a lower rate was William Gallas (33%). Omitted.
Theo Walcott attempted 56 dribbles with a success rate of 34%.
Andrei Arshavin attempted 82 dribbles with a success rate of 51%.
OptaJoe Walcott is a dribbler only that he does not complete them, which is why he is more effective when he is more direct |

Interesting as much as I respect AW, he killed himself today How can you put Djoucielsny against Rooney, oung and Nani, no hope We have been talking about our defence and all we hear is TV5 will deliver us If he was there, we would have still lost Heck,, even H Webb pitied us, Jenkinson & AA23 shd have been sent off He gave us a PK in OLD TRAFFORD!!!The same problems still cam eup . poor defensive organisation came up again Indiscipline is a major problem in this squad - 5 red cards (one retro) in 5 matches,,, interesting on whether he has had a worst game as manager of Arsenal… You don’t think like that after a game like this. It is terribly painful but you do not compare your pain. You have pain and that is it. I feel it was under very special circumstances. We have played three games in the Premier League and two Champions League games. It is not a time to make a balance of the whole season.
Of course it hurts, it’s humiliating, but you could see that we had not recovered physically in the second half from Wednesday night. We were short in some areas, that is for sure. They have class and they punished us. It was 3-1 at half-time and I think that was harsh against us. We missed a penalty, we had a chance to get back to 3-2. We tried desperately to get back but we opened ourselves up and were punished. Their finishing was great today.
on planning for reinforcements… I am very open if we can find the right players. We have the money to sign players. If we find players who can strengthen our team then we will do it. But I am not the only one to work on the case, we have 20 people who are working on that. If we do not do it, it is because we don’t find them. We have plenty of players out today, too many players missing. We do not have the squad to compete when we have this many players out. At the moment, we have not found the solutions to our problems outside. When you look at today, you cannot predict how many players we have out. We did not expect to have Wilshere out, Diaby out, Gervinho out, Vermaelen out and Gibbs out.
on the wage structure at the Club… It is difficult to find excuses after a game like that. Wages-wise, of course we are behind the other teams.
on whether he is close to bringing anyone in… We are close to signing a striker at the moment but we are still looking for a midfielder and a defender.
on whether there is truth in links with a move with Mikel Arteta… No.
on whether experience is needed… Yes but it is difficult when you lose 8-2. It is better when you don’t talk as much but it hurts and it looks like you are looking for excuses. We have to sort out our problems that we have in the squad.
on criticism directed at him… I am in a public job and I have to accept that. I try to make the right decisions for the Club and I will continue to do that. The players we have sold are players I brought to the Club. If you look at the 15 years I have been at the Club, I have brought in some good players. We have played three games in the Premier League, give me more time before saying that I have got it completely wrong. There were patches in the game where we had quality. I feel we collapsed physically more than anything else today |

Nasri is a great football player but was never great for us Remember his performances in his first season, superlative against Man Utd after that a cuple of injuries He had second season syndrome where he was invisible, I can ony remember the porto goal Then his third season first half was superb OptaJoe Opta Sports 49% - Arsenal's PL win percentage with Samir Nasri starting is well below the 62% win rate for the Gunners in his absence. Divorce. |
