What I meant is that they get close to these pastors intially because they see them as sheep and normal guys as wolves

However with time, the passion of the pastors will increase and these illicit liaisons occur subsequently

Women feel safe with spiritual authority figures hence why I term it abuse

It may be loose compared to ra.pe and child molestation but it's still a matter of degree

Lol at handsome nigerian priests

tpia@:
They dont set out to seduce the pastors because they consider them ( pastors ) asexual beings, but rather because they admire them more than they do the other men in the church.

Thats why even after castigating ministers as boring, not trying every position in bed, etc, they still run after the pastor/ religious figure and dump the males who are getting jiggy with them with every type of sex act under the sun, out in the cold.

^^^^ because these girls see the pastors like asexual beings

They think they r safer than the normal guys.

nice insight but your story is different

In this case the wifey wants to get gifts from the ex while the ex is d one collecting from the wifeys in your own case
na wa ooo.... triple lovaboy grin

obicentlis: @ Op, I have seen this kinda situation. I know somebody that's close to me that's very close with his 'exes' , reason being that he was very good to them when they were friends. Even at the level that one of his ex who resides abroad, is building a 12 flats estate through this guy without letting her own family know or even her husband's family. Even his husband isn't aware of the investment. This guy manages her account in Nigeria.

If this guy needs money, he will call 3 of his ex, and they will furnish his account which he will later pay back .

But this guy has nothing to do with his exes intimately.

They way he treated them and how responsible he was during their time influences their friendship now.

Its possible that nothing is going on between them.

I am no one and do not claim to know anything but what the bible says in 1 cor 5: 1 - 5 is when a brother sins sexually

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife. 2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this? 3 For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing this. 4 So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,[a] so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Niv version.

He should be put away for a time to find redemption

Don't forget it is required of a bishop to be holy - higher standard than mere mortals like me

I will not judge the man but the clergy have forgotten the high standards of yea and nay and are political creatures

Remember 3 years ago when they went to pray for yar adua

is he alive? some one coughed, our eyes were closed etc bla bla bla .

They need to step up in these trying times

I am a sinner and crave for grace daily - copyright davidylan

May His mercy continually be with us

modupsie:

Then Jesus should have killed judas or peter that betrayed him then
you do not have any right to determine who should or should not be on the altar

am a christian and i understand the mercy of God and his unconditional love
just to let you know this man might have confessed to God and his wife immediately after the act and God has forgiven and cleansed this man. which is what ese should have done
cos if the whole world applauds her and she is being condemned by the Almighty, then am sorry for her

how come her guilt surfaced after some yrs ? why not the same week, month or year of commiting the sin?

p.s: am not a coza member nor do i support adultery but i know and have experienced God's divine mercy and unconditional love even when everyone turned their back on me!

Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life. The apostles were called Christians because they behaved like Christ.

Family / Re: My Home Is Breaking by biolabee(m): 9:49am On Aug 28, 2013
Madam buka..

Christianity is a religion
A lot of people profess to be xtians does not mean they really obey Christ's teachings

Let's leave it at that

You were right to point out she should not just be a church goer but nEeds to understand it in her own way

Can the man guide her,, Lord knows

It is well

Asking ones spiritual pedigree is irrelevant

What matters is where you stand on judgement day

Even pastors are falling

bukatyne:

I am sorry but I have to ask 'Are you born-again?' Not a church goer or bench warmer

Christianity is a 'religion', God looks at the heart?

It is really really well.

Family / Re: My Home Is Breaking by biolabee(m): 9:13am On Aug 28, 2013
There's no biggue because we don't have to agree.
you don't see christianity as a religion which it is really

Remember christ, peter and john were not called christians

Note jesus praised the woman who gave the least in the temple because of what? - the heart

Read between the lines and you will get my point

Have a nice day

bukatyne:

If the issue on ground was anything else, I might just drop one or two posts and leave.

You as a Christian say that religion does not matter as long as they are compatible

There is something wrong somewhere.

I am saying all this because a Christian woman with similar issues might be reading this and think 'Oh, religion does not matter'

It's well

@nashvile

Also I agree people should know there is help to approach the mercy seat directly as Grace (not the fatoyinbo type) abounds for you

Remember the men of isaachar who searched the times themselves not what the priest said directly

But the reality is that there will always be leaders n shepherds to guide d flock
Family / Re: The Fatoyinbo Dilemma, Your Thoughts..... by biolabee(m): 7:54am On Aug 28, 2013
You are right and i have said as much earlier...

It was consensual yes but the man has misused his authority and the lady is being vilified

Classic sexxual harassment lines

Nashville:

Bros, that one I do not buy and we need to start making people realise they themselves have access to God. I do not blame the pastors, I blame the people. On Ese case, she was not abused. Even if her story is true I still cannot see the abuse here. There are many missing parts from Ese story. What happened in the 5 months after pastor left? Why did she now go back to continue worshipping in that same church where she was abused?

Even if something happened, I believe Ese wanted everything Pastor had to offer, she wanted to be his girlfriend and enjoy the limelight and she was surprised when she found out it was all a lie. Was she lied to? Yes, was she dumped? Yes, but she was not abused. She fell for it. Please sex just does not happen like that, especially when it was not planned and you both were not drunk. The girl must have fancied Pastor and saw this as a good opportunity. Even Pastor must have noticed something about her too, that's why he could approach her. They just dont approach any girl in church, they look for the ones that have the tendency already.

Look she is not a 16 yr old girl. This is a 24 yr old girl that appeared on Nigeria X-factor (in front of millions of people), she owned her own blog, has a masters. She is an independent strong personality that knows what she wants. She is not some braindead little girl that can be ordered around. She wanted it too and when she could not get the "pastor's girlfriend" title, she exposed him. I do not in anyway condemn her for exposing him because if stuff like that happens, it should be exposed but my point is that I cannot see her as a victim of abuse. Again this is one side of the story and I am sure she must have sugar-coated it to appear the victim.

Family / Re: The Fatoyinbo Dilemma, Your Thoughts..... by biolabee(m): 5:33am On Aug 28, 2013
Dayo i get ur annoyance at the seeming irrationality but that is wat religion is

If you were told to walk nakid you will balk at it

But If you were told by God it will save a loved one... you never know

Millenia ago,... a man nearly killed his son to god based on the command of god...

Religion Is a powerful thing even more powerful than secular authority

dayokanu:

So if your Pastor tells you to walk nakeed round the market and you do, You'll come back to blame his Spiritual overlord?

You remove your clothes Bleep the guy wella and return 7 different times and you say the man was abusing authority? which authority? who gave him authority? even your spouse cant command you to do what youre not comfortable with
Family / Re: The Fatoyinbo Dilemma, Your Thoughts..... by biolabee(m): 5:18am On Aug 28, 2013
Yes it is not the conventional workplace authority
But spiritual authority In certain instances can be very powerful if not more

He who has the heart rules the man

This is not just 2 adults but a spiritual overload n a normal woman... abuse

I dont think he will r.ape her if she had refused

dayokanu:

Misuse of which authority? If she had said NO would the Pastor have rapped her, Failed her in exams, Stopped her promotion or whats the worst the Pastor would have done to her?

This is not comparable Sexual harrasment at work because there is nothing to lose by saying No compared to at the workplace?

Spare a thought too for the adulterous pastor who did not care out his poorwife in naija n drilled the 'tight' well for 7 days shocked ..

interesting dynamic in this debate

Still traditionally women are still seen as succubi while men are mindless minions who have no control over their emotions n their third legs i.e.victims
