Are you still wondering why the country is where we are today; northerners are allergic to every good things from education to immunisation to restructuring to extremism to everything bad..
and westerners that are solidly behind them should be called what?

Eco101:
Same thing I told my friend yesterday. Two major reasons the North didn't vote for Atiku were largely due to his promise to restructure Nigeria and to Privatize NNPC. It is glaring that these two proposals make economic sense but due to political parasitism by the North, ethnic bigotry and self-centeredness, they will never allow this country to move forward. Everybody knows of a truth that the present NNPC is just a shadow of itself but some Nigerians hate the truth. I think Atiku should have played Buhari kind of politics - promise heaven and Earth and lie to the North in order to get their votes. Most Nigerians don't like who tells them the truth. That politically nailed Atiku.
your generation will see good and be blessed for this truth.

But the country in question has an extremely wasteful government filled with lootocrats. Why can't they reduce cost of governance, scrap money wasters like security vote, excessive allowance to senators and lawmakers, reduce their salaries too. They never want to make any sacrifices, all the know is to look for more ways to milk the public dry.
sir, don't waste your time quoting that freak who calls himself,Mrvitalis. I suspect he could be one of those ballot box carriers

What will be buhari legacy when he leave office? Buhari complained about the process through out the years he contested, and yet he haven't done anything to improve the system, rather we are 3step backward.

At least yaradua, faulted the system and promise to improve, in which it was same legacy Jonathan rode on.

I do not like buhari, because he has done practically nothing to improve himself. How Nigeria felt he will improve the system still baffles me.
Buhari is not the problem,Nigerians are very hungry so they are not the problem. Tinubu is the problem

Politics › Re: We Are Disappointed With Nigeria’s 2019 General Elections — US by bionixs:
EagleNest:
I think US view remains basically an observation which is in tandem with the reality of what happened in March 09 and the follow up governorship election.

INEC the supposed umpire struggled badly in many places with different playing ground in different states of the country.

Nigeria security apparatus was generally partisan and unprofessional in conduct of their electoral duty.

Thugs were in rampage in all geopolitical zones and even were publicly disenfranchising voters especially in some parts of Lagos. In fact, a House of Rep member was killed by thugs in SW.

Underaged voters were seen casting votes unhindered in the North hence disrespecting the electoral law.

And the politicians...well I leave that one to you.

But UK seems to agree with the conduct of the election. Has it any historical connotation?
When the purnishment for those who destroyed Nigeria comes, Uk will be the first recipient. The Nigeria we have today was their idea. They gain when Nigeria is governed by clueless leaders

A man identified as George Daniel took to Facebook to share the sad of his
friend,Jumbo Ogah,a Civil Defense staff who was beaten to death by police.Read the story he shared below.....

'YESTERDAY NIGHT I got a call that JUMBO OGAH was beaten to death by the police. It was unbelievable. You see, I spent four years in Bayero University Kano with Jumbo. We were in the same class and the same room for almost three of this four years. He knew almost everyone in my family. In fact the last job he was doing before he joined NSCDC was with my senior brother of which I introduced him to back then.

JUMBO OGAH was an Assistant Superintendent of Civil Defense Corps. He was wearing Uniform, taking his two children to school, with his wife inside the car. In a hurry to catch up so that his children don’t get there late, he followed one way and the police stopped him. He tried to explain but they dragged him out of his vehicle and started beating him with baton. They took him to their police station and beat him to death. He was wearing NSCDC uniform.
I am shading tears as i post this comment. this broke my heart more than when i lost my Dad. why? why? Why? why?
I have informed some of our room mates about this happening and no one believes it but this is real. They killed him in front of his wife and children. Nigeria is really hopeless.

I remember visiting his mother many years ago during one of my visit to OTUKPO. He was a carbon copy of his mom. Anytime I remember her I laugh. She concluded I am not Idoma because she taught I had Hausa accent.

How can you beat a man to death in front of his wife and children? Not just any man, an NSCDC man in uniform.

Now I am very scared of this country. I don’t feel safe. It is not safe. In the broad day light the police beat him to death, in front of his wife and children, Jumbo Ogah, Jumbostic, this is someone that I knew and have lived with and someone who knew me. This is the dream Nigeria that he is serving gave him as a gift, death'
