Religion / What is Christmas? by Bishop4u(m): 1:30am On Dec 12, 2005
I think Xmas is marked the "Birth of Christ" but we the young ones have a wrong impresion about Xmas, we rather turn Xmas to be something else.

Xmas is not all about buying new cloths, drinking, fighting, smoking and all that, but is all about preparing to welcome Christ Jesus into our souls as our Lord and Personal Saviour.

What do u think is Xmas?

Wishing you a beautiful Holiday and a New Year of Peace and Happiness.

Politics / Re: How to Deal With DSP Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State by Bishop4u(m): 4:11pm On Dec 07, 2005
Alamieyeseigha denies Terry Waya

Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State has denied claims by socialite, Mr. Terry Waya that he (Waya) stood surety for his bail to the tune of £500,000 (about N114.4 million).
Denying the claim, aides of the governor, who sought anonymity, said Waya, a Benue State-born businessman and politician "did not pay for the governor's bail as he recently claimed," stressing that the false claims were capable of dampening the moral of the real people who put up the money for the bail.

According to the aides "the governor is quite disturbed by the claims of Mr. Waya. Even if it were true that he put up the money, and he did not, would he go about shouting on rooftops that this is what he has just done?"The aide said further that the governor was also displeased with Terry Waya's outburst in the paid advertisement to announce his role in the bail.

"His Excellency is also not at all pleased with the name calling that he (Waya) embarked upon, referring to some people as the "anti-Christ." I can tell you that he (governor) is extremely embarrassed to have been associated with this whole Waya affair. In fact, we believe Mr. Waya may be acting out a script which has very little to do with recent travails of the governor."

Gov Alamieyeseigha was arrested last September 15 at Heathrow Airport, London, on his way from Germany where he had gone for medical attention and was charged with money laundering having been found with £1.8 million in cash.
He was thereafter remanded at Brixton Prison, till October 13 when he was allowed to leave the prison for his London residence after meeting conditions for bail which included a bail bond of £500,000.

Mr. Waya had thereafter claimed in newspaper interviews and in paid advertisement in some newspapers that he "deposited a cash sum of five hundred thousand pounds (£500,000.00) bail bond as part of the conditions to secure the release from prison of Chief D. S. P Alamieyeseigha, the governor of Bayelsa State."

In the advertisement, Waya had also said since he was mentioned in connection with the bail matter, he had "received a few calls of threats from government apologists, fortune seekers and their agents of oppression trying to intimidate, witch-hunt and blackmail me into abandoning a friend of mine in his hour of need."

He also said that if the governor was a proponent of a "well known agenda propagated by this evil and oppressive Anti-Christ, he would have done no wrong..."
Gov. Alamieyeseigha's aides, who distanced the governor from Waya's claims however, insisted that "the bail was paid by true patriots who felt genuinely concerned by what he was being subjected to by the London Metropolitan Police, and that he remains eternally grateful to these persons."

A source close to the presidency contacted yesterday on the issue said that it was commendable that the governor has dissociated himself from Terry Waya's outburst, noting that "it would help his case."According to the source who pleaded anonymity, "any further belligerent attitude associated with the governor can only make the federal government not to intervene in his matter, "pointing out that sustained pressure from those appealing to the presidency to help the governor .

However, Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode in his response to Mr. Waya's statement, said "we will not dignify such submissions with a response."

Hello Nigerian

I am so much worried for whom to vote in as the president of Nigeria in the 2007 Election because almost every body in Nigeria wants to get to that seat.

So fellow Nigerians who can we vote?

Setting up a Cyber Cafe is never a easy task, you can not just tell exactly what is required because the standard is increasing each and every day but I think if you have systems that are speed enough, you are okay for a start.
