pryme: Sound Of Freedom - will this movie make it to our cinemas, cos in the US some Cinemas returned people's tickets so they wont see this movie. This is the first time in my life am hearing cinemas retuning people's tickets for a movie.
sounds like a south African movie about the travails of Nelson mandela
oyaskii: Lmaoo..Old Nollywood was actually insane, They were probably working out of a meagre budget of 2k and trying to shoot a movie inside 3 days!. They always just contract the music to one man called Stanley Okorie, and the man had the easiest job ever, he will just take the plot of the movie and throw in a few gibberish and call it a day...You will hear "Nne me, In this life, you reap what you sow" fgss 😩😩, and they have one score template, if you are familiar with old Nollywood ain't no way you won't know the score when someone is about to poison food, once you hear it, someone is about to die by poison.
But new Nollywood are trying a bit with the Netflix and Amazon prime money coming in now, I have a UNI friend who works as a sound engineer out of an indie studio in Lagos, they were the one that actually worked on the "Gang of Lagos" score, but as you can guess, the budget for it was little as they rather spend on custumes and props, and so jobs to score a movie here rarely comes, if he had taken it as a full time job, he would probably be living under the Bridge by now lol.
Nollywood just bank on cinemas and streaming numbers for revenue, forgetting that there are other ways of making money off a movie, like making a proper OST, releasing it digitally and commercially mining it
stop saying shit. Stanley okorie is a legend in his own right when it comes to composing scintillating soundtracks. The man did so much for nigerian movies in the 90s and 2000s churning out great special numbers in their hundreds for the audience to serenade to and putting nollywood on the map. Give him his respect not because you don't like nollywood movies
oyaskii: And RP was his first choice cast for Opphemhemier but according to him RP was so busy with other commitments that he literally couldn't get through to him, so he decided to cast an even crazier method maniac in Cillian Murphy. The casting is been described on the scale of Heath Ledger playing "Joker" in TDK!.
Some doubts have cropped up about Christopher Nolan's ability to drop a generally acceptable banger due to his flair for "over tinker" as seen in TENET, but i feel this is a straightforward biopic with the promise of a beautiful Nuclear explosion.
I trust my man CN, but this movie has been put on such a high pedestal that it simply cannot afford to fail.
I don't like cillian Murphy. Who will make me like him?
VoltageDivida: I need employ this girl to help me recover all the money I don spend untop woman. If I start the calculation from the very first 2k I send for tp where the babe loss, e go don de reach 2m by now.
UyaiIncomparabl: Lol. So, any man who does something noble not to talk of something as small as buying shawarma must have sex with me, as what exactly?
You are dense, I swear.
you that is smart, can you buy shawarma for me? I will send you my details. Show me what you are capable of
Mercy2006: Back then, we were all enthralled by Gloria Bamiloye's natural beauty. She was who we all wanted to watch. Her acting was top notch. Kudos our dear beautiful Sister!
happney65: Remember the theme song in the movie "Ese to ba gbemi,to gbemi,to gbemi, ese to ba gbemi, o le la mi mo le o"
It was a movie about premarital sex. A lady already engaged to another church brother. They ended up fvcking themselves and got pregnant. Got an abortion as it didn't end well. The days premarital sex and getting pregnant out of wedlock was like a very very big deal.
I go watch the movie for weekend, go back to school on Monday and still go finger girls an succk boobiee.
Sprints3: Just a little sin mumu mount Zion film that year plus the gods are dead and apoti eri. Back when dem still dey brainwashing me. Now my eyes don open. God I don old. All these VHS movies. The video cassette of this movie Still dey family house. Gloria bamiloye sef don old. She no even fine again. Becos una dey worship God mean say make Una no watch Una appearance.
you sabi evon jarett and doyin something, one yellow man like dat?
Bluffly: It is you that will suffer. There is difference between working and suffering. Eating from your sweat is not suffering. It is stupid men that make some women appear to have a life line and you appear to be one of them. Everyone must work to make a life. Let us stop breeding women with sence of entitlement. God never created women to live off men. Men were only put in charge of affairs. Everyone must work to earn a living
Well, you may be right. Life may be easier because women are just naturally favored especially by men especially if you come fine.
Like this evening now, I don chop free shawarma and king size burger with ogbonge milkshake from anonymous man wey offer to pay. Izz sweet to be a fine girl sha.
and you couldn't tell him to help his fellow man. you are a heartless godforsaken gal. And Its not like you will allow him have his way when he comes for sex. Fine gal my ass. You go soon expire
Uchesis: the same way those who are not married are having the sex. Or you think its only married couples that have the right to have sex? Incase you don't know, men marry because they want to have legitimate children, not because of sex. Besides, marriage doesn't guarantee you constant sex anytime you want, because some women's libido reduces as they give birth to more children. Ask yourself why do some men cheat? Reason: lack of regular sex from their wives
how do you deal with pressure to marry and gossip from neighbors?
Risingblue008: Sometimes,I go mad whenever I hear guy taking drugs for se-, Me,wey be MECHINE, It's inbuilt Na follow come, As in ehhhh!!! MECHINE!!!
Even ashawos come wan dey fall in love with me ooo, Na there I take knw say girls like se- pass anything, I go tell my pikin how I enjoy life shaaa Pussy Sweet, forget
GUNITGuy: We are seeing this sentiments growing...Go to banks, Telecoms, Corporate bodies, Head office of companies recruiting more women than ever over men in Nigeria they're already creating a future trouble that would consume that society unknown to them... They might get away with it today but not in any time in the future ... In the west this issues are looked into criticality and could be punished severely with your career pulled down once they trace you are doing that for Sexual benefits
anytime i walk on the street, i see men smoking, drinking, betting. I enter supermarket, restaurant, i see women on duty
occfx: You are a simp niggarr... Don't ever wish to be a woman. It's a man's world... In my next world and world I want to be a man. Just hustle cash out and enjoy manhood
Uchesis: So finally we all will agree that marriage favours women more than men. Infact, marriage is a burden to men. Know this and know peace. That's why i dey enjoy my bachelorhood now o
GUNITGuy: Someone doesnt even think straight ....Some people are women pleasers by default ask him how many men has he helped ...This are the kind of men that would give a woman #100million naira for doing nothing than just beautiful because he believes a woman should not suffer while all men can go to hell
my broda, do you know if you go to any organisation, majority of workers are women employed by men over men? Ordinary betting shop, na women full there
NuCypher: Excellent words! It would have made even more sense if you said "a broke girl is something to some man out there". There is no shortage of men looking to play a saviour to a woman, even if she's dead broke.
Women face most of these things written in the post but society thinks many women out there live la Vida loca because they are women. It doesn't work that way. Think about a woman from a poor home with many siblings — A burden of performance and high expectations is placed on her to be better and maybe, uplift her family from generational poverty. This way, pressure sets in and she does unquestionable things for the money while displeasing herself and pleasing others. Or maybe, take on jobs because she wants a better life for her family and herself.
Yes, life may be a bit easier for a female especially if she's pretty, attractive, educated, and has a good head on her shoulders. The not-so-fine ones may not be so lucky especially if she's an empty one.
Men, easy. Being “just” a woman is not a leverage to living a soft life. We face as much degradation, suffering,
come back here. What have you done to earn a living aside hookup?
Unlimited22: Can't speak on Ikpeba because I didn't watch it (later heard he put his hands on his head as if he missed even though replays showed the ball crossed the line) but Yakubu had me standing with my mouth open for two full minutes.
I had been screaming at my screen because I thought Chidi Odiah had delayed the cross for too long only for him to deliver the ball on a plate and my man (who is top 5 IMO for Nigerian strikers but unfortunately will never get his flowers) to produce a miss that was even more difficult than actually scoring.
We watched that game in school dining hall and up till now I remember the ringing silence that followed that miss.
I refused to believe what I was seeing.
he was heavy and past his prime. When that ball crossed to him, his poor footwork caved in and boom miss. Yakubu in his heyday will put that away was heavy
it was a clear goal becos that ball crossed the line. Had it been there was sb by the goal line. The story would have change. Ikpeba really cost us the final by placing his hand on his head when it was an actual goal.
