oyaskii: 12 Angry Men (1957).
A black and white all-timer 🌟
Finally laid my hands on the criterion release of this cult classic and finally gave it a watch and what a treat it was.
The plot is modest but brilliant in all ramifications. Shot in entirety in one location so gracefully that it left an indelible mark for other movies that towed this sub genre. It opens in a court house, where an 18 year old boy is on trial for the murder of his father, the judge places the outcome on the hands of 12 angry jurors, they are locked in a steamy jury room, where a single non guilty vote throws the whole case out of whack bringing morality, resentment, systemic racism, mercy, pride and prejudice to bare.
In an era where the knowledge of vfx, cgi and proper cinematographic tools are minimal at best, they had to rely on actual old school filmmaking that was in vogue in that era, black and white narrative that involved some brilliant acting and an even more impressive sequence of monologue and dialogues. No wonder why the flick is a cult classic. One of the best movies ever made.
I can't recommend enough.
9/10. don't come back tomorrow and act as if you don't watch old stuffs. You and those box office animals are all the same |

Alozie has no remote connection to England. She a Cali girl born and raised in the USA. both of them knew what they were doing. James couldn't perform effectively because alozie was onto her. Against China she scored three and assisted three |

OhBritannia: I don't know why this News of xavi not wanting Neymar still gets me angry 😡
Omor is xavi on colos or what? Neymar might not have left the club in a good note but Neymar is a blessing to any club any day and any time even at his age.
According to reports, xavi is saying Barcelona are like a family and the presence of Neymar will destabilize the changing room.
Like i said before, is xavi on colos? Why is the presence of Neymar not destabilizing the Brazilian national team or the PSG changing room?
Neymar is even a family oriented kind of footballer when it comes to his relationship with his fellow players so what the fork is xavi saying?
A fully fit Neymar is better than mbappe and Halland combined together. We are talking about winning the UEFA champions league and xavi is rejecting Neymar.
Like i said, if the news is true then xavi is on colos. Neymar will come and showboat |

funkyjms: May be aside the defence, our squad is depleted and somewhat lacks depths. We can't compete on high level with this team. It is more complicated because we are cash strapped! Even if we trust La masia boiz or make more signings in January (like Roque), before they will gel together, we'd have lose points and/or booted out of Europe.
I have lessened my expectations from this team this season.
You sef check am now!!! Ferran Torres is still in Barca? |

lovewins: The same way the Moroccan coach couldn't take advantage of Nigeria with 2 man down right?
Yesterday was the first time a 10 man team won a game.
It had nothing to do with the defensive discipline of the English team who sacrificed attack just to play 2 layer defence.
It had nothing to do with the fact that our players can't move the ball (something we all know)
Not even saying Randy is the best coach, but you guys should relax. Just a few days ago in this same thread, many of you were saying we'll be thrashed, outplayed, humbled etc. The same Randy outclassed the England national team adjudged to be one of the best in the world. The English team prior to yesterday has scored in at least the last 16 consecutive games, however they were the lucky ones yesterday. You don't need to like Randy to give him his flowers. The right word should be surprised. The super falcons never outclassed anybody. Prior to that James red card, the possesion was 60 40 in favor of the lionesses. The super falcons gave away too many passes, made mistakes at the back like in the case of demehin and were launching the ball high up to nobody instead of building from the back. Even after the sent off, the falcons were still struggling against the English while thee likes of alozie wasted a couple of glorious chance to bury the game |

lovewins: Well said.
I understand people's frustration. A loss can be very painful especially when you played your best game.
But we have to count our blessings:
1. This is our best World cup performance so far
2. We played 4 games and did lose any in regular time. For context, we played World no 3 who are European Champions, World number 7 who are Olympic Champions, World Number 10 who are host nation and World no 20 and didn't lose any
3. We have the worst defensive record at the world cup. This time however, we conceded just 2 goals in 4 games. Read that again, we conceded just 2 goals in 4 games.
4. More importantly, we have a team to build on. About half of the team is 25 and less. We only need a few additions and subtractions and we'll have a better team
5. I can't believe I'm saying this.but I have to
"NFF, Renew Randy's Contract".
Give him the support needed and watch this team fly. 1999 is our best outing. Stop blabbing fables here. If you were around in 99, you won't be running your mouth helterskelter. That team performed better than this current side. This present crop of falcons are just there based on current form minus the three goals we scored against Australia |

ThePresenceWtf: Even if the ball didn't go over the line, the US GK would have been carded and the penalty re-taken because the Goal Keeper "attempted" a second save of the ball in that play. ( Penalty takers are allowed only a single touch of the ball during a shoot out, even if you mistakenly touch the ball and it leaves it's original position on the marked spot, it'll be counted as a taken penalty...No rebounds either.)...And as Such, Goalkeepers are also allowed only a "single touch attempt" at a save... There is no such rule. Its a lie. A GK can make more than one save as long as the ball is still in play. So you expect the keeper stay still while the ball rolls into the net after making the first save. That's a wrong insinuation. If not for goal line technology, that Sweden's goal wouldn't have count because it barely cross the line. Technology played a huge role in football |
