Which is the fact and a valid statement. Judges are bound to work with the fact and truth not absurdity like you zombie obidients.
you are shameless and very dull to insinuate Abuja votes are special and more important than others, thank God every one in Nigeria, especially our judges are not dull zombies like obidients

blaise26abj: It is a valid statement . I voted Obi but I can rightfully tell you that I don’t follow mob mentality .
There would have been Chaos if the 25 percent abuja issue was misinterpreted. It would mean votes in abuja have higher value than votes anywhere else in Nigeria . Imagine an election where a candidate meets all other requirements but fell short in abuja . That means he can’t be declared winner .
It also means presidential elections in abuja will be an all out war which is chaos . Elections will be very violent in abuja and there will be huge transfer of voters card to abuja during elections because the vote there will have superior value .
Atimes We get sentimental a lot in nigeria . Am I happy Tinubu is the president ? Hell no . Do I think he was into narcotics ? Hell yeah . However regarding the elections , he beat obi and Atiku hands down . Like I said , the 25% issue was only one of the prayers in the petition . Why would there be anarchy if the president was removed on the basis of one prayer but no anarchy if he was removed on the basis of the other four ? The message delivered to the judges was clear . Do not unseat me on any basis or there’ll be consequences. And in the event of such happening , your Lordships’ safety cannot be guaranteed. The point is not whether Tinubu had the most votes or not. The point is that the Justices’ ability to adjudicate impartially was infringed upon. Do I need to remind you that on the issue of the civil forfeiture, the current CJN had explicitly , in a ruling while he was a Justice of the Court of Appeal, stated that even if the defendant was not guilty of a crime , that forfeiture represents a loss of right , privilege or property; in order words punishment for a crime ? These were the exact words of the then Justice of the Appeal Court, not CJN. Thus the tribunal Justices had a precedence in law to nullify Tinubu’s presidency based on the forfeiture prayer in the petition as expressly guaranteed by Section 137 (d) of the 1999 constitution . But this did not happen as the judges had an overriding interests in safeguarding their own lives based on the threats by the president. This is my submission .

Christistruth03: Let us explain things to you gently may be you will Understand better
Ok
same way you voted for Peter Obi is the same way others voted for Tinubu and Atiku
Peter Obi failed to get 25 % in any Sharia Muslim States so that alone is already 12 States lost plus the 5 SW States where he failed to get 25 % that is already 17 States lost where he didn't get the mandatory 25% National Spread. We haven't yet added Kogi ,Kwara and others o ! Peter Obi lost!!
Even if you want to very stubbornly argue that the 5 SW States results were rigged and exclude them ( But in that case the APC will also argue for the SE results to be excluded too for the very same reason)
Then include only the 12 Sharia Muslim States where Peter Obi failed to get 25% and add Kwara and Kogi State too That is already a total of 14 States, Peter Obi could not afford to have 25% in less than 24 states without loosing
Peter Obi still lost the Elections!!!!! That’s not the point. The point here is the veiled threat levelled at the judges . Even though the threat was on the basis of 25% interpretation, the 25% issue was only one of the 5 prayers in the LP petition. Granted that 25% in Abuja alone should not determine the outcome of the election, but if the justices felt threatened , how would you expect them to adjudicate impartially on the remaining prayers in the petition ? |
Politics › The Intimidation Of The Judiciary Was Successful by BitterTruth01(op): 7:27pm On Sep 07, 2023*. Modified: 6:50am On Sep 08, 2023 |
Tinubu, through Olanipekun, in a final written address to the tribunal against the petition, said the FCT is the 37th state for electoral purposes and any other interpretation would “lead to absurdity, chaos, anarchy and alteration of the very intention of the legislature.”
Nigerians recall the audacious statement by the president addressed to the tribunal justices on July 15th
It is ironic that while the LP supporters have been accused of trying to intimidate the judiciary, the only ones who actually directly threatened the judiciary was the presidency and his henchmen.
How did the presidency know that widespread anarchy would result and/ or that even if it did , would/could not be contained by security agents unless they were not masterminds ?
We remember in 2011 when Buhari threatened and said the dogs and baboon will be soaked in blood . This violence was unleashed when he lost the election.
The justices understood the veiled threat, knowing their lives would be in danger with complicity by the Nigerian state and its faceless assassins , they acted to safeguard themselves . |

Colonialism ended 60 years ago, yet these people continue to disgrace the African race with this CARICATURE of a white man's wig they put on their heads.
Is it beyond their colonised block heads to throw open a contest and ask Nigerians to send in an INDIGENOUS lawyer's head dressing, and then they can select the best?
India was also colonised by Britain. THEY DITCHED THE WHITE MAN WIG.
I believe Kenya and even Ghana have ditched it.
What the hell is wrong with Nigerians and their slave mentality?
Tufiakwa.
Do you people not even wonder how these whites look at you as you make utter idiots of yourselves, wearing their hair wigs, 60 years afyer ur independence?
They think you look really stupid and ridiculous in those wigs. Valid question Even the USA ditched the wig since the 19th century . More than 250 years ago. They still keep the robe tho |

DenreleDave: My point is.
What is the reason falana said allen said to him about his non-approval?
Or sir falana does not know the reason...
Why can't they published the reason to the public and let there be fair judgement... Your ‘point’ is not a valid one. A simple research will reveal to you what Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) stands for and what the status of BASA between Nigerian and the Uk Is . Further research will tell you that Nigeria has always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to achieving BASA parity between her and more economically advanced nations. In fact, we have about 70 BASA with different countries that we’re currently unable to enforce Also UK is quite notorious in that regard and we’ve had issues with them since the Obasanjo’s time when Arik was flying that route. Though we stood up to them that time as forced them to the negotiating table and ARIK was able to get 12 slots on London -Lagos route while BA and Virgin had 21 . Still more than us but at least it was a start . Falana is urging the FG to stand up to them and do what needs to be done. You cannot expect Falana to talk at the NBA conference like he’s talking to primary school kids . Those are fellow lawyers and they are equally learned . They understand what he’s talking about I could go further on this topic , I could be posting links and all but you can equally do it yourself. Educating yourself should be your duty , though I understand that nairaland is an anonymous forum so people like helinues can safely hide and spew their ignorance online without repercussion. If not, on what grounds would a jobless lawyer stand to tell Falana he doesn’t know what he’s talking about on matters of international law and business ? |
