BusinessRe: The Increase In Hotels Is Killing Southeast Economy by BitterTruth01: 7:05pm On Nov 28, 2023
Abagworo:
Tourism, Hospitality and real estate is bigger than manufacturing and in fact a stimulus to growth of manufacturing and distribution sectors. If you know how rich a city Owerri became under Rochas Okorocha and the ripple effects on other sectors of economy because he focused on tourism you'd have a rethink. The problem with Southeast is bad federal roads, refusal to activate the Eastern ports and recently insecurity created to stop 2023 Igbo Presidency. I personally have not been to my State Imo since 2020 because of the insecurity and now that Uzodinma has won 2nd tenure it means till 2027 depending on if he hands over to someone that has capability to bring back peace. For now Abia especially Aba is the best place for any Igbo man to invest large scale with alternative at Asaba and Port Harcourt.
Ignore the illiterate . He doesn’t understand the difference between the secondary and tertiary sectors of economy. He doesn’t even know the order of progression of organic growth in an economy.
His grey matter is too befuddled by excessive head-slamming to engage in reasonable discourse .
So leave him be .

As at year 2000 , when I was in Ondo state for some projects, there were only two industries in the entire state capital of Akure . One was Limca factory at ondo road , the other one was located near Mojere Market at Ilesha garage , I forget the name.
The rest of their industries were primary sector industries mostly sawmills located in other parts of the state .

But comparatively, by that same year , there thousands of secondary industries in Aba . I mean thousands literally . It is expected that by now they would’ve organically metamorphosed into service industries including hotels and the likes .

This information is intended for only right-thinking people to assimilate and comprehend.

How are they doing it

Can you point out any Igbo man who has made a statement in recent times about the subject matter. Just one
Good question
Infact the only notable individual to make mention of igbo history in the same sentence as yoruba history was their Ooni when he recklessly said that igbos were linked to Ile-ife in the past

Their own ooni for that matter . Besides nobody takes that statement serious .
PoliticsRe: Lagos Should Removed The Title "Oba Of Lagos" If Ignorance Persists by BitterTruth01: 6:08pm On Nov 28, 2023
Biodun556:
Lagos state has 52 officially recognized kings. Geographical location and economic advantage is what gives 1 of the 52 title " Oba of Lagos" over the rest. If ignorance continue to make people stares controversy, the Lagos state house of assembly should enact a law and review the title to something else.

You said Igbo girls are only good for sex. So I asked a simple question about yoruba girls. Are they bad for sex ? Why so defensive ?

Oba met Awori in Lagos island.

He said Aworis are the followers of Prince Izoduwa that settled with him in ile ife in 1230 AD

I doubt he said that. The idejos (land owners) of Lagos are Awori.

The idejos are Aworis and descendants of Olofin Ogunrumimire (an ife prince).
Read the interview well
Yes awori are from ife

But how did they come to ife ?
He explains it in the interview . Why are you doubting he said that ? Are you saying that Guardian fabricated the article ?

Even White people are originally from Benin.

There's not a single history that backs your claim that Awori are from Bini

But I trust the Bini to cook up a history sooner rather than later to that effect like they did the Oduduwa thing.
The Oba of Lagos literally said it that Aworis are from Bini

Check the 7th paragraph of this interview he gave

Bini not only founded Lagos , they also founded Ile-Ife

Awori people are from Bini
Oduduwa was from Bini

Without Bini , yoruba history is nothing

Igbo girl definition of love or relationship is money. It means you are expecting a container from sea, have a smooth business running and you can take good care of her financially.

Anything short of that, you re just dating yourself. It sucks so bad. I’m not generalizing though but I’m saying the fact here.
How stupid and daft are you that you’ll open a thread to talk down on Igbo women ? Are you cursed or are you a bastard ?

It seems you have no sense. Efulefu

You deserve to be shot dead by IPOB . Anuofia
PoliticsRe: . by BitterTruth01: 5:55am On Nov 28, 2023
Benin not only founded Lagos , they also founded Ile-Ife
But those who are experts at forgery and re-writing history will not agree

Oduduwa was an exiled Bini prince , he fled persecution and went westwards. He settled at ile-ife with his entourage and the savages he met there worshipped him as a god cos he must’ve been so advanced and ahead of them they couldn’t believe their eyes . His name was
Izoduwa

The Aworis of Lagos are the descendants of the entourage that followed Izoduwa out of Bini and settled at Ile-ife. Their original dialect was a mixture of Bini and some of yoruba they picked up at ile-ife

I’m not the one saying it , the Oba of Lagos said it. Read the part highlighted in red.

Lets direct our investments in the Southeastern states
The federal roads in the east should be considered a priority , otherwise the FG can hand it over, let’s build and and maintain it ourselves.

FoodRe: Pictures From Amala Hangout In Enugu State by BitterTruth01: 3:35pm On Nov 26, 2023
adamusuleiman1:
I wonder why some people were angry that some people are trying a different food from another tribe. This Amala stuff caused so much anger on twitter when it was advertised.

The Igbo restaurants in Lagos, na Yoruba dey patronise am most. Every once in a while, people like to try something different. Diversity is the spice of life!
That’s not the issue and you know it
The point is why is there a thread opened on social media to hype it up like it’s some type
of achievement. Why do Yorubas see it as a type of cultural superiority feat as shown by the posts at the beginning of the thread?
Even Reno omokri was posting about it as a way to antagonize the obidients . Why is it political ?
Food is not the problem of the southeast. We have more types of soups than any other Nigerian tribe I know. So what’s the point exactly ?
FoodRe: Pictures From Amala Hangout In Enugu State by BitterTruth01:
Morphinne:
This is another blatant lie and you are ultimately confirming or rather rephrased what your kinsmen were claiming earlier after you realized they were very wrong.
They earlier claimed that egusi was invented by the ibos—an erroneous claim that was later busted because egusi in Igbo language is not even called egusi but eliri (I’m not sure I got the spelling right) and many other igbos confirmed it to be a borrowed word.
It’s very wrong to say you invented a particular food that is and was being eaten by a vast number of people across different cultures and races and mind you, other tribes are only being defensive here because your kinsmen started this claim as a result of their shameful insecurity and low self-esteem because in Yoruba land and so many other regions, nobody would be mad or give a f*uck over other people’s decision to host a hangout celebrating Oha soup and Apku in the heart of Oyo or Kaduna. I won’t feel threatened over the plan of a group of youths to celebrate tuwo shinkafa or fura di nunu in Lagos or Ile Ife in Osun and in fact, I and many of my tribesmen would gladly join in celebrating with them without harboring the slightest of hate.
The events that preceded this very amala hangout is shameful to say the least. Why are you people pained Chinedu? I was even concerned about the safety of the people who would attend the gathering. Come on, ibos could have done better, It’s just an ordinary food, it doesn’t bite na grin
Why did quote me to type nonsense ?

Egusi is a west africa cuisine, doesn't belong to ibos.
Raskimonojendor:
If you grew up in a Yoruba household, you would have "sé" egusi when you were little. Egusi Ijebu is a favorite stew in Ijebu households. Obatala's favourite food is iyan and egusi.

Ibos borrowed the word "egusi" from Yorubas.
Ofodirinwa:
A 1 canopy backyard cookout of 20 people caused all of this noise? How many Yoruba people are eating Egusi as I type this?
Raskimonojendor:
Yoruba own egusi.

Ibo dictionary below says it's a loaned word from Yoruba.
Nobody owns egusi . It’s like saying you own Yam because you eat Amala which is made from dried Yam (elubo). Other people eat yam too but prepared in a different way .

Maybe yoruba first called it egusi or maybe other tribes first called it egusi , it’s irrelevant .
The plant is grown across west Africa almost to central africa . And it’s are called different names .

The difference here (and most important thing) is how it’s prepared differently. The way egusi was prepared historically in yorubaland has changed .
Yoruba used to cook egusi without oil and it stays white and they prepare stew separate .
Then they dish the stew on top of the white egusi . But now most yoruba families don’t cook cook it like that anymore . They copied the Igbo way of cooking it .

So the method of cooking is what’s important and the common method we have today definitely originated from Igboland.

Whatever Emefiele did was done at the behest of the President. It’s crazy how you singled out Emefiele and conveniently avoid mentioning his boss. This level of hypocrisy is astonishing .
PoliticsRe: Seven Kano Protesters Arrested, Yoruba Community Fears Attack by BitterTruth01: 6:31am On Nov 24, 2023

Funny enough, all the Yorubas in Kano will start relocating to Sabon Gari to seek protection from the hands of the same igbo people they hated so badly.

Chai this life ehn.
Morals of the leason is that, don't go hating on people because you might never know who your helper will be tomorrow.

My advice is, if you are a Yoruba man living in Kano, please do well to run to Sabon Gari before the beginning of Jumat prayers. Housas don't care if both of you just finished praying at the same mosque. They will still do what they want to do to you.

Most crisis in Kano usually start after the Friday Jumat prayers.
😮 This is so true. Pretty sure they all voted APC and no one threatened them to stay out of local politics , but a yoruba bigot came on Twitter to ask Igbo to stay out of local politics . Same bigot is now a federal minister.

I rest my case. grin grin
The important thing here is that they’re promoting Igbo culture even in their husband’s households. But some busybodies are pissed about that and cannot contain their irritation.

You can clearly see their Igbo attire on full display. These women are passing on Igbo culture to their children. The language, the food , the IQ etc . The husbands are happy cos their kids will be the future elite of the southwest . In addition they’re being blessed with good food. Nobody should have to endure ewedu and Ewa goyin everyday.

The yoruba supremacist are pissed but they’re busybodies and meddlesome interlopers. They can’t stop the imprinting of Igbo genes on their population. Even Adeyinka Grandson was complaining bitterly about it and posting videos on Instagram but to what end ? Alaafin of oyo has married an Igbo wife and paid full bride price. So haters can go and die.
