Politics › Re: Why Do Igbos Bite The Finger That Feeds Them by BitterTruth01: 4:34am On Oct 11, 2023 |
MimiSheWrote: This write up shows You are obviously part of the reasons sire.
People like you feel like the basic necessities Igbos get from the Nigerian government is a privilege, a favor or a charity, despite the Igbos being a major contributor to the national income... and even the biggest contributor when you include the SS region, which was proudly part of the original and historical people of "Bia-fara" (Biafra)....... All before they were brainwashed and fed with propaganda.(story for another day)
The truth is, the so called Nigerians.. almost in general do not feel like Igbos belong, they do not feel like Igbos are part of Nigeria. An average Nigerian automatically hates Igbos as a tribe... and would gladly suffer under any corrupt politician as long as it takes than have just one Igbo person as president, Sadly.
(the hatred is right there, it's real and that deep. So what do you expect from such victims in return? Loyalty? Patriotism? You expect them to Shed tears during the Nigerian national anthem?) No... That's not how it works.
Igbos are still trying hard to recover from the civil war, but the whole obvious marginalization/hatred from almost the entire country is not helping the journey/process. Instead, it's creating more new generation of Igbos that feel more and more emotionally detached from the idea called Nigeria.
As a very proud Igbo from Delta state, I can boldly tell you that Igbos are political victims. So whatever you get from the Igbos today or tomorrow is just a mare natural response you would get from any similar political victim around the world.
One thing about hatred is that it only leads to more Hatred in return... And even more and more hatred back and forth like ping pong.
Feel free to quote me with your own version of hatred.... But fact remains the fact. You’re seriously trying to educate that woman ? No one takes her serous . She’s around 69 years old always on nairaland spewing shit instead of focusing on her grandchildren |

Godoverevery: If yoruba came from bini kingdom......so where did yoruba language came from??
How come bini language is not even recognized has the yoruba language.
How come yoruba kingdom is far far bigger and cut across some other west Africa countries??
Oba is bini language.....lol.
Bini bare yoruba name but we yorubas don't bare bini name.........if you are intelligent If you are intelligent , go back and read again . I did not say yoruba came from Bini kingdom, I said their civilization started when an exiled Bini Prince came to Ile-Ife and united the various groups into one kingdom and ruled over them . Where did I say yoruba came from Bini ? Bini Kingdom already existed for thousand of years before Ile-ife was consolidated by Izoduwa . Bini had a long line of Ogiso kings , about 36 of them that stretches back to at least 1500 years , that is even if each king lived for only 50 years. Yes Oba is a Bini word. Bini even conquered and ruled Lagos . Eko is a Bini word, Idumota is Bini work. Go to Lagos island . You will see plenty evidences. Read the statement below from the Oba of Lagos on why he refused to shake Ooni’s hand https://guardian.ng/sunday-magazine/lagos-oba-traces-origin-to-benin/amp/

Goodlady: Pardon the Ooni of Ife. I m a Yoruba woman who doesn't blv Igbos came out of Ife. About Ekaladerhan or whatever exiled Benin prince, I don't think he's Oduduwa. But if he is, no qualms. However, Yoruba culture has more influence on Edo or Benin culture. Thanks for your mature response ma’am I wasn’t trying to offend . If you were offended , I apologize |
Culture › Re: Igbos Migrated From Ile-Ife - Ooni Of Ife by BitterTruth01: 7:09pm On Oct 08, 2023 |
Can a man be older than his ancestors ? The way Yoruba people try to rewrite history is astonishing
These are a people that did not have any history before an exiled Bini prince known as Izoduwa , came over to Ile-ife to rule the savage homo erectus he found there . They called him Oduduwa and that’s how yoruba history started less than 1000 years ago
Now Ooni is trying to raise hands at an ethnic group that has existed before the Roman Empire . That’s right. Igbo has been around since over 3000 BC. We’re currently in 2023 AD. So thats about 5000 years till date.
Igbo civilization is older than the Nok civilization A man can never be older than his ancestors.

ASAPFERG: Igbo people should stay their lane and stop disturbing us with their cursed culture At least we have a culture . But your own culture that was donated on you by Izoduwa , an exiled prince of Bini Kindgom whom you guys refer to as Oduduwa. You thought he was a god that descended from heaven . Imagine the gap in civilization between the Bini Kingdom and your ancestors that they thought they had seen a god. Without him there’s no yoruba heritage .Even the word Oba is a Bini word which has been adopted by Yoruba Anytime you see a Bini man, you should lay flat on the ground and let him walk over you Cos without them you’re nothing . |

I’m Igbo and I wish Zik was a tribalist. I hate his legacy for his nationalistic stance and not putting his tribe before his country . Regarding the match comments referenced, This is very mischievous. People all over the world back in the 40s, 50s , 60s were very outspoken then . Infact the way politicians spoke back then , if they tried it now, they would be cancelled, vilified and ostracized. Back then it wasn’t inappropriate to publicly refer to a gay man as a gay , or to speak towards women in a condescending manner . There were a lot of things that were acceptable then. Y’all need to educate yourself and understand the context of the era. That Yoruba Muslim that posted that tweet is a tribalistc bigot, a cheap attention whor.e |

Or is it the investment of Anambra state funds in his own Brewery that is not Criminal State Capture?
