Autos / Re: Honda 'End Of Discussion': Is The V6 Engine Inferior To The I4? by bjcisse: 10:12am On Feb 15, 2008
PSSWORD i think you should listen to 'Raphoad' advice, you guys should behave like a professional you claim to be, if you look at midas argument, there are too much insult to the other party which suppose not to be so.

Mind you guys, there hundreds if not thousand reading this thread alone. i check for an update on this particular thread every one hour instead of me to face the plenty work on my table.

You guys are good as far as am concern, brilliant also, I surely know that somebody btw you is getting some thing wrong.

every engineering filed has it own rules and protocols if you dont follow it, then the product built from it can never be certify or acceptable all over the world.

Surely we need references and theory to backup implementations process but sometimes real world experience change the way situation is.

my area of specialization is information technology 'networking', i read and read theory 'die' when i started but when i enter field i see one or two different.

if some one will agree with me here that documentations sometimes changes and new ones are emerge so i will urge us to upgrade our old documentations to newer ones as equipment built in the 21st century are built on new technology.

the reason why am following this thread is because i just got a tokubo honda accord 2000 and not v6 with about 85k millage and am here somebdy is telling me is design for 130k millage , haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i don 'die' oh, shocked shocked shocked

make you guys agree and settle on your mechanical cars jargon or i will go and return it and get my refund back oh and buy the one that is design for 500k millage 'lol' grin

Business / Re: Starting Up An IT Outsourcing Company by bjcisse: 2:33pm On Aug 01, 2007
Mr. Ifeanyi,

Nice comment from you but i must dark out some of your comment i consider not really practicable, , if you talk about Nigerian science and engineering degree, without a further tech-knowledge in terms of certifications, its rather no point because i don't think they have any tech skills to offer. I'll rather employ tech guys with certifications than just pure ones with degree without certifications and tech-skills. If the motive of this thread initiator is to compete with companies from India in terms of info tech outsourcing, then source your tech people from that angle. Nobody is interested in old school technology so-to-say but what is obtainable in this challenging world of information technology. If you are to develop in software development, then get somebody that code even when he or she is sleeping. Get it right and get it straight.

If you talk about Microsoft and Linux, and you say your Linux box is not breakable because Linus Thorvald is a scientist grin then create a room for people to come in and watch if its not breakable, don't report a bug to those whom administered your distro, don't do update and patches, okay! "Kidding here" Maybe you did not here about what the bad guys did to FBI server sometimes ago even master-card server, maybe you should find out what type of infrastructure was those servers running on.

What am trying to say is that non- of the technology company is doing poorly but just depend on who is doing the implementation and administration. On gates witchcraft, the man has gotten a source code, that he is not willing to share with anybody, what is the problem with that. He is not the only one hiding his source code, after all they are many company that are not putting their code openly for you and i to rewrite. Maybe you should find out what the company that sell flex cube software to Nigerian banks do in terms of proprietary. Its a business world man.

Anyway to the man that want to start an outsourcing business in Nigeria, best of luck and listen to what Ifeanyi said in his advice.

Bolaji
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Anybody Wants To Work In Ecowas by bjcisse: 11:56am On Jun 28, 2007
You cant really blame them 'denex' that's the situation in Nigeria, When most graduate in nigeria are paid blow 60k monthly and a messenger somewhere is been paid 70k plus a two years house rent upfront. wht do u expect. Even some drivers are paid 90-100k monthly in some companies, Is not all about having to tie up or suiting up to the office every day . its all about your take home pay monthly and other benefits. There is no longer respect for a degree in nigeria anymore b'cos everybdy has it, If SSCE holders are considered to the pay package of around 25k monthly and OND holders are also considered for around 50-60k monthly, then HND & Bsc holders can talk from 100k but mind you every company's want to employe a degree holder but not every company want to pay for it. some pay while some don't out of no job, the poor degree holder takes any job.
Computers / Re: Installing A New OS With Another OS by bjcisse: 9:54am On Jun 28, 2007
I think if you go with the above solutions the gurus in the house has give, you will be fine, but if you re an advance user, and u run vista first or you have partition your entire hard drive to install vista, you can always find your way around it without formating your hard drive to dualboot both vista & Xp. All the above recommendations are right and that's microsoft recommendation for standard users,

For Advance users, you can either have any of the vista or xp boot first, run fresh startup installation, i.e boot from the installation CD, follow the installation procedures and insist you want to install the os on same partition but different installation folders, In your C: drive where you have your windows installation folder, i.e "WINDOWS", You can specify different folder to sit the new install os and proceed with your installation. Remember the both os will use the same boo.ini file
. when installation finish, go an manipulate your boo.ini files (becarefull in this area as you may stop your both os from starting up) to change the time limit and the order of boot process.

waiver: DO NOT FOLLOW THE ABOVE STEP IF YOU RE NOT AN ADVANCE USER OF MICROSOFT WINDOWS OS
