Mama gee,
Na true you talk.
But one thing is, the united states so much value the life of her cituzens, not only that and where her citizens transact business. Another thing is our oil. There lots of US companies in nigeria. So you can see why they are interested. and not only in nigeria but all countries you find americans.

One thing is that i respect the govt of the US and the good people of america.

What they did to help the people of haiti rely make me to appreciate and respect them atlot. From the govt, to the companies in the US, to their music industry! Diddy!

God bless the US and Nigeria.

For madam dora, ensure that man publish an apology letter to the said newspaper. End of Story.

I am just laughing and cant stop, 'we dey craz for this country'

Can the FG tell us the cost implication in building the main Aso Rock.

Was it Babagidan or Abacha that build Aso Rock sef?, how much did they use to complete it. Am sure the Land is not paid for as it will be a government land.

If you build a house for 50million dollar for a VP of a country like Nigeria, then maintaining it in year will cost nothing less than 1.3M dollars every single year.

am sure not only glass block shall be use, Gold block will also be used. Many countries of the world that are well richer than Nigeria are not using 50M dollars to constructs their presidential villa.

sha we also the reason why most people want to kill their self on top politics. when i watch then on TV taking, most of the cannot give a five minutes speech without reading a script.

Business / Re: Africa's Largest ICT Mall To Be Built In Abuja by bjcisse: 10:53am On Oct 20, 2009
@ Sagamite

100%

Your last point stated it all.

Meaning, when a technology goods is ship from outside the country to lagos port for instance, it will be transported to abuja, then the people in lagos where most technology product is being use will then drive down to abuja and come back to purchase that.

if the information about the population of abuja is correct at about 1.5M residents
and that of lagos is about 20M then there must be other agenda while the mall was setup which we don't no about. If it is a private investor initiative, we all agreed that the guys behind this project are interested on their investment and profit. Anything outside that is for the newspaper front page

Politics / Re: October 1, 2009, Nigeria At 49, Anything To Celebrate? by bjcisse: 1:50pm On Sep 28, 2009
funny post from everyone!

God will intervene one day with force. God has being trying to help but, we Nigerians will not allow God work to rain. So what do we all expect. Once God intervene forcefully, just because of the common man, he will replace all power holders to his own people, i.e those that have fear of God in mind before doing anything. those that will take the common man problem key just like their own family.

As for independent day, what do we expect, our politician will surely rejoice and celebrant because they see their self enrichment as blessing from God.

Don't worry all, some people are going to be rich on the independents day because, contracts shall be awarded for the celebration because its some people that will organize the whole event.

Run go submit your bid to aso rock all.

Business / Re: How To Report A Cheating Petrol Station? by bjcisse: 2:19pm On Aug 19, 2009
this is actually true.

i Experince this at texaco filling station at adekunle yaba. it was a total fraud. the guy was just smart but i no that one day, he cannot be smarter than himself.

To full up my car tank normally will cost me 4k at N65 per liter. but that day i decide to buy 3k fuel to my car. After i drove off the filling station and wait for about 5min driving. I realize my fuel indicator does not even get to half tank, meaning the petrol attendant sold just about N1,800 to my car. i was so mad but could not go back there. i promise myself i will never buy fuel there again.

General Advice
When next you buy petrol in any filling station, don't be carried away by looking at the fuel pump as its reading. Most petrol attendant will tell you to look at the fuel pump. But pay more attention on his/her hands anytime he/she try to press the fuel holes while the pumping is reading, its stop droping fuel but your money will be reading on the pump.

Now what i do is, when am told to look at the pump, i refuse but start looking at the operator hands, there he/she will be suspicious and think you already no the trick, from there they will not try to cheat.

Travel / Re: What Are The Safest Parts Of Lagos? by bjcisse: 3:33pm On Apr 21, 2008
@poster,

I think 'damola1' as said it all. if you consider working in the island, it will be ideal you live in the island because of traffic. Talking about safe areas on the island, most of the estate now in lekki and ikoyi are trying in terms of security but for now i will say V.G.C is where the highest security is deployed for now in terms of protecting resident. 'to live there is expensive thought' apart from security operatives deploy within and outside the estate;

They are the only estate for now in Nigeria where access control gate is been deploy. i.e the access control gate recognize all the resident cars and wont open for any non resident cars. if you a are visitor, you will need to pass through the security checkpoint where you will be screened and if entry is granted you will be monitor till you get to the house you re visiting, the time spent there till you leave. if entry is denied and you try to force entrance, 'your car is a write-off and a serious accident can occur and might endanger life courtesy of their access control bollard.

To crown it up, its only God that can safe guard us. there is no where that is not prone to attack by the 'big boys'

If you can live in New York city, You can live in Lagos.

Business / Re: Which Bank Is The Most Customer Friendly In Nigeria? by bjcisse: 2:38pm On Mar 15, 2008
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Zenith Bank Keee, , they are not a go area, they are the list you could give best customer friendly bank.

i think it depend on the branch you have your account thats determined customer friendly bank. i once dislike IB when i hav my account with one of their branch that the head of customer service unit was rude to me. when i transfer my account to thier lekki one branch, i experienced peace.

same thing goes to bank phb, all depend on branch,

In terms of giving you want you want and making requirement flexible, i 'll give it to Diamond bank, Bank Phb and IB could not arrange a little loan i requested for my car but diamond bank did.

as for zenith, that's where my salary account is, its no go area at all, they are only interested in corporate account. that's why you will be ask to bring from 100k-250k before a current personal account is opened. even the corporate body are getting fed up of them, my formal office has to transfer her account from zenith to PHB. even my current office too is having problem with them.

they don't give loan but they charge we that are customers heavily on transactions. me way my salary no reach me self, zenith will remove their money before me way get salary get to the account, very craz set of ppl.
Romance / Re: Why Do Guys Lose Interest In Relationships After The Chase? by bjcisse: 2:00pm On Mar 07, 2008
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa @poster, Na me you dey use style to talk to abi? ok,

ogb5, as said it all

Girls go back and read wht 'ogb5' said,

For most of of we guys that are corporate, we get missed calls alot and not from only our chic but friends, family and associate.

most times ladies are not patience. they ring your phone anytime they like and when you don't pick its a problem. why would you call me during business hours? most times in a meeting, training or attending to plenty task on my table.

if you call the guy later in the day around 6pm till 12pm and he did not pick the phone then its another case

we are all gaining from this thread. remember you are not the only mechanical engineer reading this thread. there are all kinds of professional from different area of specialization too. once a again be responsible and post here as a professional you claim to be.

nobody on this thread has said midas is wrong but you or more ppl had said ivriv is wrong. but let do it maturely,

i dont no this but i believe everything ivrive has said will not be wrong, as more ppl has testify to this.

i'll wait here for you if you agree, i see u as a responsible guy and trust you will change.
