Exactly what i was about to say. i don't think this happened in the North coz Northern Nigeria is land locked. If the North Had such a large body of water they would have divided the country long ago.

It's inappropriate for a married woman to visit a single guy. The best strategy to discourage her is to invite your young hot and fresh girl friend over on the day she is visiting that would send her a message that you are already hooked and u don't have any desire for her. Except she is a seductress who truly wants to have a feel of your banana falling on her. Seeing another lady in your apartment should make her go away for good or she may restrategize and visit you on another day depending on how much she longs for your banana.

This is really a tough one and i can imagine the pain and apparent sense of betrayal you are feeling right now. My answer to you would be based on the principles of tough love and how far you are willing to go to get back your money.

Your boyfriend may be displaying an attitude and a feeling of entitlement to your money. He may have studied you over time and knows your networth and therefore feels 500k is a small change to you and considering that you would soon be his wife he assumes you should let go and not bother asking him for it.

In any case i suggest you adopt this 3 course of action depending on how much you need back your money and the extent you are willing to go including kissing your relationship and marriage plans goodbye.

1. Involve your Pastor, his parents or sibllings or any mutual friend of yours i.e both of you. Someone matured that can talk to him maturedly.

2. If option one fails, get someone that is an EFCC operative or Police Man to call him on phone and invite him to the station to answer questions pertaining the money. The mere thought of going to a Police station or EFCC office to answer questions or write down a statement should scare him into paying you.

3. Get a Solicitor to write him a strongly worded demand notice to pay within a certain period failing which you would sue for recovery of your money.

Please note that my advise above would be based on conclusive proof that he has the money but is deliberately refusing to pay you or is intentionally playing pranks on you.

If truly he doesnt have the money to pay back, consider it a bad debt and recover same in instalments after your marriage to him.

Hi Op. I just want to make a little clarification from your story with regards to the uniform Kemi is wearing. There are 2 sets of uniform worn by 2 categories of people in Nigerian Prisons. Those who have been found guilty and sentenced by a court are known as convicts and their uniform is Blue in color while those whose case is yet to be disposed off by the court are known as awaiting trial inmates and their uniform is green in colour. Kemi falls under the category of awaiting trial inmate since the court is yet to pass a sentence on her matter hence the green uniform she is wearing.

This is so Sad.

Frankly i am just so sick and tired of grown up men behaving like over pampered babies always running to Nairaland to seek the opinion of people on issues that ordinarily are non issues.

OP i really pity you right now and feel your pain. my problem is why do grown up and experienced men keep making the same mistakes over and over again. The truth of the matter is that if you were observant during your courtship days you would have seen all the tell tale signs your wife is presently displaying in your marriage.

The problem with most men is that they choose to ignore obvious signs because of love only to come back and complain later when the going gets tough. The best time to change a woman's mindset over issues you are not comfortable with is during the courtship period because after marriage the deal has been sealed and your chances become slimmer because madam is now having all the rights and privileges attached to her status.

Getting a divorce from Court on the grounds you have stated may be a bit difficult. My advice to you is to seek help from a professional marriage counselor and if need be involve the wife of your Pastor who may be in a better position to talk to your wife from the stand point of an experienced woman. you may also consider enrolling her in a finishing school where they would brush her up in terms of her dressing, composure, speech, attitude and manners but this is largely dependent on how much she is willing to go through with the training. sit her down and bare your mind, tell her you are frustrated in the marriage and you need her to change because you are dying inside. i trust God will change her mind for the better and above all always commit her in your prayers.

I attended an interview with them recently and I really want to know if any one in the house has any insider information about their renumeration, job description and grading system. It seems not much information is available about them as everyone I have asked doesn't seem to have any useful information.

I also want to find out if any one know what steps someone can take to work in Government Banks like Bank of Industry (BOI) The Infrastructure Bank, NEXIM and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria because I have never seen any of this Agencies placing any advertisement for recruitment and I have been wondering how they meet their staffing requirement.
