I got searching and stumbled upon an ACURA MDX 2015. I like the looks and the likes, but I'd like to know if anyone has experience with it. Is it a decent car, maintenance-wise, driving-wise, fuel-wise etc.

This is a good ride with high maintenance culture which at the same time can take a lot of beats and poor maintenance culture. But comes with a lot of sensors that needs attention

Experiencing Error Code 41-11 (No Signal From Left Front Impact Sensor) on my Acura TSX 2008. The sensor, situated on the chassis behind the driver's side front bumper, has been identified as the culprit.

Upon inspection, corroded wiring and socket connections were discovered, likely caused by prolonged exposure to muddy waters. As a precaution, the sensor itself was replaced to ensure optimal performance.

Following the replacement, the error code was cleared, and the vehicle underwent an extensive test drive to facilitate the CAN BUS system's comprehensive recalibration process.

That vehicle may look not common, and it was due high rise in cost of vehicle in Nigeria. Let me tell you, the vehicle is great and easy to maintain. No much complex module rather basic. That K24 engine was already in use since 2002 and review shown that it performance was great, though they were not the same, just with little variation due area of application.

If you want other suggestion, then you will need to state you features that you want in vehcle, so as to state other option.

Point of correction K24 engines was introduced in the year 2001

Rav 4 was initially on my list, but i heard it was overpriced as are all toyota products (and i was planning to go for foreign used or grade A nigerian used--if there's anything like that). That's why i cancelled it off my list. I guess i will reconsider it again.

Hyundai Santa Fe do have oil shortage issue and a crack cylinder bloc factory defects

Gas Pump Filler Shutting off while refueling – EVAP issues
There are couple of issue that could cause a gas filler to shout off but I’ll be majoring on the EVAP issues.

Codes

Likely codes that most car owners ignores;

P0441 – Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0442 – Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Small Leak)
P0443 – Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit
P0455 – Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Large Leak)
P0456 – Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak)

Had a couple of cars with this same issue, from Grand Cherokee Jeep 2014 to 2017, Mercedes C230, Kia Rio 2019. Just the few I have worked on.

Causes

* EVAP System – which serves as vapor extractor from your fuel tank
* Roll Over Check Valve – This is a stopper on the fuel tank neck to prevent fuel spilling out in the event of an accident that leads to rolling over of the vehicle.
* Topping off your gas tank to brim over time causes it
* Faulty fuel cap
* Gas station Noozle too.

Solution

* Consult an auto technician
* Visually inspect the gas tank filler neck, in some car brands design the filler neck to be bent
* Run a diagnostic test on the EVAP system
* Check and replace the gas tank cap
