Morning all my Avalon 2gr engine started overheating out of my carelessness, I changed the top gasket and it was still overheating, I changed the water pump, same continued, now am in a crossroad of wheatger to buy a double radiator and change the single radiator it came with because am lost.

Run a scan, but you can check your mass air flow sensor. But run a scan it will likely point to your issue

Today, I left my home and I was stopped in palm Avenue Mushin. Offence. My temporary driving license expired on the 09/07/24. Exactly 6 days ago.

I was driven to zone D mushin. After every every, I parted with 10k plus 5 hundred for gate. Total =10500...

Immediately, I proceeded to lastma office oshodi where I did the temporary and I got an extension at till 30th of August... I felt invisible and I proceeded to look for client. I saw one just at the oshodi interchange, she was going to mushin(make I dey go house back)

I never start motor a policewoman stopped me at same oshodi interchange.. I gave her a complete paper work of the car plus the new temporary license. She certified everything alright and said it remain "Hackney permit"

After long talk, I offered 1k. She refuse. I showed her my opay, na 2k remain. I offered to transfer to her, make I dey go house drop motor. She refuse transfer. And asked me to go withdraw blah blah.

I left angrily. Using map to find my way, trying not to make some funny turn as Lastma people have dealt with me.

As I was going, another set at mile 2 stopped me, wielding gun etc. Treated me like a criminal, searched my car, asked for the usual etc, I told them it was collected by a policewoman at the oshodi inter change.

Since 12, I have been detained inside a nearby korope in mile 2. My car, my Temporary driving Licence, the new temporary extension I got few hours ago, everything is not in my position...

Current situation.

I wish I could make a case against them. This is not how to treat a law abiding citizen.

Respectfully any officer given money for the offence you listed is a gift....

My honda accord start flashing d light, and it shows code p0980, p0962 and the solenoid has been changed, suddenly it came back again. And anytime i change gear the car will be jerking as if the engine want to be removed. Please If you have professional not kazeem that is in ibadan and that can help me work on this perfectly. Yesterday was good and bad..I have God to thank for it..I collected one of my Corolla from my driver on Friday night for inspection and I ask him to pick it up by 11am on Saturday...I wanted to go to island to quickly check something in d office so as part of the inspection I'll be driving the car, that in my own way is d best method of inspection..He told me there is no fuel so I promise to buy 5k fuel..left home around 6am with a rider going to IKOYI and by 6:15 I was around town-planning connecting Gbagada express to link Northwest filling station, I notice if I applied brake, I find it difficult to move freely again and I was contemplating if d car would get to island or I should just return home... Immediately a car drove to my left side, called my attention and shouted fire, fire..mehn my heart cut, quickly park by d side, very close to the northwest station and I notice my front right tire was on 🔥...rush to the boot, brought out fire extinguisher and that stuff had nothing in it..saw two ragolis water that I quickly pour on it, raise alarm and guys were flying in from different corner with fire extinguisher, agberos brought water and luckily we were able to stop it...I was able to park it in a safe place..Thanks to those agberos...
The way the rider, a lady jumped out to the express, almost knocked down was another story..
The good news is, she booked another ride, I told her I'll followed her as I need to get to d island myself, the new ride came and when I entered the driver shouted my name, we did Nysc together in kebbi about 16 years ago...lost his contact..a very good old friend, we slept on d same bed for 3 weeks..we chatted all tru..He dropped the rider, took me to the office, got his mech to pick the car and fixing commence immediately....caliper was d culprit!!My driver claim the car was ok at d point of dropping it on Friday! Car dey spoil overnight!!

Bros thank God e no pass that, but cars can help funny and evil.... speaking from experience sha.... but you should have felt it immediately you drove out. And it has burning smells

Greetings Bosses in the house. I recently gave my mechanic money to buy new gear hoses for my matrix after i found out its leaking. Fee days laterone of the hose burst on my way back from a trip and all the gear oil were lost . Had to park the car and look for a mechanic it was then I noticed that one of the hose isn't meant for gear oil.
New hose was bought as well as new gear oil and the gear got back on actio. I drove down and confronted my mech. He apologized it wasn't intentional, then i told me to pary nothing happens to my gear.

Few days later the gear would take few minutes to engage in the morning and drives fine the rest of the day till d nxt morning, sometimes i will have to shift to D2 b4 it will engage.
Called my ,,m ech again to complain and he suggested we wash the bottom plate that its dirty.
We did that yesterday and it took the car much longer time to engage this morning. But it drive normal since today.

Please I need your candid advice/ suggestions.

Neither any part of the engine nor gear has been worked on since I bought the car 2019, expect the plugs

Good day boss, my 2 cents here is that any car that has a high mileage you don't drain out the transmission transmission fluid completely u only drain a certain portion and top it back with the fake we have here..... Also the fluid flushed out when you were driving if am correct? If I was the mech you called I will advice you to let the gear cool down before any work can be done... once you open or top the gear oil when hot boss so pe otilo......

Its quite a good car due to its advanced fuel saving technology. That is if the Oxygen sensor is OK and thermostat still function properly.

Here are few things to pay attention to; brake system issues, oil consumption, rattling noise at start up, frequent spark plugs fouling, misfiring issue, ... but good Suspension system not like the early spec of 2002 - 2005 model

As for your mechanic not to see the overheating temperature before getting worst, it takes a very experienced driver (car user) to know when car is having high temperature, your mechanic didn't notice coz he wasn't paying much attention to the car movement and changes, as an experienced person, once the temperature is high, the first thing you will notice is, the car will start blowing heat if you were using AC or the car movement will become sluggish and that moment you observe any of those, you're to look at the dashboard for any possible sign.


I will hold the mechanic for letting the car got that bad..
