Modern archaeology tells a different story that challenges the "conquest" narrative. Most archaeologists today believe that the Israelites were actually a subgroup of Canaanites who broke away from the main population.
* The "Highland" Settlement: Around 1200 BCE, new, simple villages began appearing in the rocky central highlands (the area around the West Bank).
* Distinct Culture: These people looked like Canaanites, spoke a Canaanite dialect (Hebrew), and used Canaanite tools. However, they stopped eating pork and stopped worshipping the full pantheon of Canaanite gods (like Baal), focusing instead on a single deity.
* The Theory: Rather than an "invasion" from Egypt, many scholars believe the Israelites were oppressed Canaanite peasants or nomadic herders who fled the wealthy, corrupt city-states on the coast to start their own egalitarian society in the hills.

3. The Genetic Perspective (Common Roots)
DNA studies conducted on both modern Jews and modern Palestinians show a fascinating result: Both groups share a massive amount of DNA with the ancient Bronze Age Canaanites.


* The Reality: This proves that the "different groups" you mentioned earlier—who inhabited the land after the Roman exile—were often the same people, just under different names, religions (Christianity, then Islam), and languages (Aramaic, then Arabic).
* The Split: Genetically, the ancestors of the Jews and the ancestors of the Palestinians were largely the same people living in the Levant thousands of years ago. One group eventually identified as "Israelite," while others remained and eventually became the modern Arab population of the region.

The people in the present state of Israel majorly practice JUDAISM and Judaism don't believe in JESUS CHRIST? As Christians, we believe that JESUS Christ is the only way, the truth and the life(John 14 vs 6). So I would like to know how the people in the present state of Israel are God's chosen when they do not believe and recognize Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world? (John 3 vs 16-17)

We should not just look at only the negatives around MTN, otherwise the fund managers will take the advantage of this forceful listing.and mop up the shares by using dubious proxies.

Lastly, the share might not appreciate in dividends yield but will appreciate in price yield.. It might not take 5 years for the share price to overtake dangote cement and Nestlé regardless of the uncertainty in investment returns.

Over 11b shares is not a joke. Nobody will keep money in a shallow pocket. Such amount of money are kept in 'fish/inn pocket'.
