Truth is, they are supposed to be, at least nominated for Oscars. Prior to the just concluded Oscars, there was a documentary about how the Academy have been boycotting Chinese movies for inferior American flicks

Exactly. The film isn't about what they did but the fact that they could even have a rethink. No one knows if they eventually went ahead with the plan or if they aborted the mission and I couldn't care less about it. If it was about vengeance, she'd definitely have gotten her revenge.

You remember the hospital scene where Welby (who was beaten and pushed out of a window by Dixon) offered the same Dixon some juice after he got burnt. Forgiveness, huh?

Don't forget the last scene where Mildred confessed to Dixon about starting the fire that almost killed him (Dixon) and what did he say?

Mildred Hayes: I need to tell you something... It was me that burned down the police station.
Dixon: Well, who the hell else would it have been?

..and they laughed over it.

I think the movie preaches forgiveness.

I'm sorry my brother but I think you've missed the point. It's about forgiveness, not revenge.

It was a nice movie with good story, acting and cinematography. I enjoyed the score most though and I think Alexandre Desplat should win the Oscar for it this year but I also think they're lowkey promoting bestiality. All in all, it's a wonderful movie.

You should watch Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri and Wonder if you haven't. Those two might get you tearful, or at least, feeling choked.

Jet li had one health issue about 5 years ago and his doctor told him to stop any exercise and martial art. I think I read somewhere that he recently recovered but will have to select fewer film offer.
