Gbola5: “Power is a curious thing, my lord. Perchance you have considered the riddle I posed you that day in the inn?” “It has crossed my mind a time or two,” Tyrion admitted. “The king, the priest, the rich man who lives and who dies? Who will the swordsman obey? It’s a riddle without an answer, or rather, too many answers. All depends on the man with the sword.” "And yet he is no one,” Varys said. “He has neither crown nor gold nor favor of the gods, only a piece of pointed steel.” “That piece of steel is the power of life and death.” “Just so... yet if it is the swordsmen who rule us in truth, why do we pretend our kings hold the power? Why should a strong man with a sword ever obey a child king like Joffrey, or a winesodden oaf like his father? “ “Because these child kings and drunken oafs can call other strong men, with other swords.” “Then these other swordsmen have the true power. Or do they? Whence came their swords? Why do they obey?” Varys smiled. “Some say knowledge is power. Some tell us that all power comes from the gods. Others say it derives from law. Yet that day on the steps of Baelor’s Sept, our godly High Septon and the lawful Queen Regent and your everso-knowledgeable servant were as powerless as any cobbler or cooper in the crowd. Who truly killed Eddard Stark do you think? Joffrey, who gave the command? Ser Ilyn Payne, who swung the sword? Or... another?” Tyrion cocked his head sideways. “Did you mean to answer your damned riddle, or only to make my head ache worse?” Varys smiled. “Here, then. Power resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less.” “So power is a mummer’s trick?” “A shadow on the wall,” Varys murmured, “yet shadows can kill. And ofttimes a very small man can cast a very large shadow.” That's my favorite conversation in the whole series. But Nihilist isn't discussion about power, she's arguing if the girl is mature. |

Nihilist: She's not mature. She's a child.
She lacks diplomacy and tact, and speaks too openlu because...well, she's a child.
Take her decision to back Jon Snow from the onset, for example. That was a very daft and tactically naive decision. All the other Lords of the north who could see the play knew that Jon Snow did not have the men and political goodwill to take on Ramsay...and they were right to abstain.
The vast majority of Snow's men were butchered.I wonder how many of the Mormonts survived that battle. If not for the Knights of the Vale, which that kid did not know about when risking her innocent men's lives, Jon snow and his men would be dead...and the Mormonts would have a target painted on their backsides.
The only reason her men listen to her is out of an obligation to maintain the servant -lord/lady relationship. I'm just baffled as to why. You're technically saying that ser Davos Seaworth lacks diplomacy The maim reason she joined was because ser Davos convinced her about the real war. The other houses were not informed about them WW. But you heard the so called lords confessing their wrong doings Anyway, the mormont had targets on their heads for refusing the Bolton's rule. Whenever you take a decision you're either doing something wise or something foolish, we can only know when you win or fail. |

I mean, these are grown folk chatting grown folk chit. Should that tiny girl be piping up at the table simply because she's of noble birth?
I would have given her a feeding bottle and a barbie doll, and chased her away to go and play with her mates... Not because she's a noble born but because she is mature at such a young age. even in real life there are people like that. maturity doesn't always come with age. |

FriendChoice: A very clear correlation. He mustn't be a Muslim before he is referred to as terrorist.
Who is a terrorist?
1. A person who uses terrorism in the pursuit of political aims.
2. A person who use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.
3. Someone who uses violence, mayhem, and destruction — or the threat of those things — to coerce people or countries into taking a certain action is a terrorist. A terrorist may be motivated by religious fervor, politics, or just plain old-fashioned greed. Then all our police and military are terrorists. I agree! |

MaziOmenuko: Nah, everyone had a weapon for the war, he had...what? Nothing! Imagine what a log of Nepa Electric pole would have done to those formations that surrounded them? He would have won the war for them. The writers just worked towards a certain angle.
And Rickon? C'mon! When he got to midway, I was just saying to myself, stop running lad, stop running and face Ramy's direction, watch the arrows and dodge them, Jon is coming behind you! But dude kept running like a mad dog.
And Ramsey shooting wun's eye when he had Snow's head at arm's length? Wun was already dead meat, they really portrayed Ramsey as whimp, that's not the Ramsey I knew. yeah we on the same plane bro. And you see Jon lacks tactical skills, he was outsmate by Ramsey, who we thought was just a mad dog with no cunning. Imagine if it were'nt for the vale knight. I give it to Ramsey. he is a tactical genius. he does'nt just hit, he will hit where it hurt the most. I will miss him. |

djlaqua91: Sansa is either stupid or pure evil
Withheld vital info. from your brother which led to thousands of deaths of loyal men. With the knowledge that the knights of the Vale were available if needed, Jon Snow would have planned better. Even if it leads to a siege on winterfell the Giant would have turned the odds to their favour. Many times she was crying, "we need more men". Yet she refused to open her mouth and tell Ser Davos and co. Whether Little-Finger could be trusted is a different matter. They needed men badly.
Although we viewers all knew Rickon was as good as dead, In Episode 4 Sansa was crying that we have to save Rickon, we have to save our brother, then next thing she's saying he's as good as dead ( poor writing from the writers IMO) without showing us how she transitioned to that reasoning.
Just like her mother her reasoning will damage that House
Kudos to her, she saved them in the end but massive Stark casualties could have been avoided. House Stark is back, but Jon better watch out. That Sansa can kill him anyday I swear. #TeamWhiteWalkers I think she was trying to use Rickon as leverage to persued Jon on the need to fight the boltons and get her revenge. She is trying to.claim boss, in the war counsel everybody was helping with their quotas and she stood there waiting to be asked.first. she is stupid. |

Seun: The Blackfish is a regular human being too, yet he was smart enough not to surrender his castle when his nephew's life was threatened. Sansa is a regular human being too, yet she was smart enough to understand that Rickon was already dead. Jon has already died once for naively doing what he thought was right without considering the risks, so he should have learned his lesson by now. When will he know something? I don't blame him for trying to save Rickon. after Rickon was shot and the horsemen were gainning on him if he turn to run back it would demoralise his force and leads to a mass retreat. unless you're saying he shouldn't have attemped saving Rickon in the first place which is a hard thing to do considering how close they were unlike The Blackfish and Edmure. |
