My brother I agree with you, this current system we're using has failed us, we need to change our system of governance and be more sincere yo ourselves, if you've read the book called "Animal farm" by George owell you'll think the man had Nigeria in mind when he was writing it. We need a positive change and restructuring of things and a complete overhaul of the current political class we have now, if that can't be achieved then I think we should go our separate ways as different independent countries.
As for Biafra and Niger Delta issue, the average ND man sees the Igbo man as the closest to him out of the big three ethnic groups even tho no one is perfect, if we decide to leave nigeria it will be to stay our own without joining any of the bigger 3 ethnic groups not out of hate or fear but it's just our decision and we wish it is respected, politically both of us vote and reason the same way, we have many similarities, there's no bad blood.

I'm an Akwa Ibom man and I can tell you some of those people on this thread claiming SS are not from SS. Because an average SS man like me doesn't bother if igbos have sea access or not, we can always reach an agreement and do what's best for business regarding seaports and water ways, Igbo being landlocked or not doesn't make our lives better or not, disregard any wannabe SS person saying he will deny igbos sea access, that's trash talk. For example I'm made to know the river separating Akwa Ibom and Rivers goes up into Abia, if Biafra (igbos) can reach an agreement with the Niger Delta (ijaws and ibibios) whose land that water passes through then why not? After all ijaws and ibibios and igbos in that area will equally benefit from the economic activities there provided nobody is being cheated. People should learn to be pragmatic and strategic in thinking.

What's it with Igbo having sea access or not mbok, Nigeria has sea access but are we better than Switzerland or Austria or even Rwanda of yesterday that are landlocked? Instead of thinking about making Nigeria a better place or discussing on breaking up nigeria if it cannot be a better place you're discussing about sea access. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Zana Akpagu has picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate nomination form to contest the Cross River North bye-election.
Akpagu, the leading APC aspirant in the race said that he is sure of victory as he is contesting to win and not to settle for second position.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently released time table that fixed October 31st for the bye-election to fill the vacuum created by the demise of late Sen. Rose Oko.

From available data, our Senatorial district is lagging behind in terms of federal government jobs when compared to other Senatorial districts. This is because we've not sent people who understand the sufferings of our people. There are opportunities there but we just need people with the will power to pursue them for our people. That's exactly what I'm very convinced that I can and will do as Senator".

He added that "I'm not coming with so much promises because I believe that our modest efforts in our previous positions and where I'm now have been speaking for me and my team loudly. I'm not just contesting because we want to come second, but because I'm confident that we can and shall win".

Akpabio,omo agege, nwaboshi etc all of them are extremely corrupt. Nddc should be investigated independently from it's day of creation to now and it should be striped away from politicians and allowed to run like a company full of technocrats because these politicians are using it as free ATM. The happenings there has emboldened those stealing our resources because we have not shown good character and have no moral backing as it is. Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa are supposed to be the best states in Nigeria to be honest if things are done right without corruption, mediocrity and nepotism with full resource control.
