I didnt state that, although Africans and their descendents are the most well known and successful blacks(in terms of population/distribution) in the world. Here where I live we have the largest freshwater estuary in the world. When the colonists came you could see clear through the bottom and oysters filtered all its water every 3 days. Today the water is green and harvests are so low some seasons they have to pay fishers to work on restoration instead of fishing.

The oysters were so plentiful, they were ship hazards, you could just reach in the water and pull them out.

BlackLibya, I know what you are saying with this and I agree with most of it. However, when it comes to SA it is still new for black farmers to do so on a large scale. As you well know, they didn’t have ownership to the land before. In any case, the fact still remains that 24 African countries are desperate for our farmers. Why do you think they are looking outside their countries? BTW, Congo is one of the countries offering them opportunities.

Congo has been decimated. The African ecosystem is crashing in many places, that's why you are getting hit with so many droughts and so much desertification. I read somewhere that Great Migrations are on the decline in Africa.

Im sure you know about the buffalo, well the forests here, there were oak trees everywhere, millions of them. Whereas today we grow tons of wheat and corn, eastern native americans could harvest chestnuts and acorns from the forests and use it for flour and porridge. Meat was everywhere, we have no large animals left in the eastern half of the country now. The mountain lion and the elk have been hunted to extinction.

eguerilla, the black african has begun it way before the egyptian. Read about the green belt in Niger. It is now being destroyed though, that is the problem. Nobody is really in control of those countries, just a bunch of rubber stamps to keep the resources flowing.

Stmarc, it is a big difference between hundreds of years ago and today. Farming to sustain your village is very different from farming to sustain a country.

I think u are mistaken. African nations(like the kingdom of kongo for instance) had populations in excess of some european countries, these people still managed to feed themselves.

In Tanzania when they decided to do the Uhuru, the problem was that there was not enough food for export. You see, in traditional african societies the central govt was weak and most government was handled on a village level, then kingdom, then empire/city-state/nation.

That is completely different than a central govt which is tasked to provide services to all people, and overexploiting the land in order to accomplish this and even to line their own pockets. That decreases available forest/savannah forcing more intensive agriculture in order to receive the same output. It's this intensive agriculture that was unnecessary, because in SA for example, Zulus were able to supplement what they grew with what they could hunt on the savannah or find in the forest.

With industrialization and globalization, African countries are forced to grow crops that are not even native to Africa, and are more taxing on the soil and require more additives like fertilizers and pesticides. Also, diversity is destroyed as the govt tries to get all the farmers using the most commercially acceptable crop. Ethiopia produces more than enough food for itself each year, yet it still has famines, it has nothing to do with blacks knowing how to farm.

Exactly, the reason you work there is because Britain has assisted in the destabilization of your country through its arms which it does manufacture. This leads people like you into Britain to work in its skilled sector for cheap, when you say they dont manufacture, are u talking about in terms of output or employment? Britain manufactures high end products, they dont need to manufacture the cheaper products of less value. That's what their former colony, China, is for.
